Amazing service! Would absolutely recommend for you to come and try this. The staff surely knows how to get everything correct and knows how to please.

Everything was good until I found this in my milkshake! This is just nasty like I don't even know what it came from!!

It just like all the other cook outs, I always get a tray got burger, Cajun fries, and a quesadilla with a Diet Coke. And I paid for another tray and the total was like $16. Went to pee and food was ready by time I got out of bathroom. Inside in done in auburn

Blueberry milkshake (bottom) and peanut butter fudge milkshake (top), each $2.99

MILKSHAKE REVIEW ONLY! While Cook Out's grub has me wary and I have yet to brave it, I figured milkshakes would be a summer-appropriate and safe way of testing out this NC-based chain's abilities. Many of the ~40 options sounded appetizing. I ended up ordering a blueberry milkshake; all flavors are $2.99 each, one size. It wasn't too long before our numbers were called. These milkshakes pass the straw test, being too thick to slurp up, excellent. You'll want to grab a spoon to eat these treats. And maybe a cup of water, though I didn't consider the milkshake extremely saccharine. I appreciated how the shake wasn't a ghastly fake blue hue and how there were real blueberries mixed in. Probably frozen but legit fruit at least. I'll have to inquire next time. I also got to try some of a peanut butter fudge milkshake. Made with real dollops of peanut butter and chocolate syrup, you just cannot resist. Yum. And it's not fudge as though there are pieces of fudge from a candy shop at the beach, just fudge as in hot fudge sundae. There's a big hand-washing station located right by the drink machines. I approve. In addition to booths and tables inside, there were some picnic tables on a patio out front. Not the most scenic view of busy Opelika and University however. The price is certainly right at Cook Out. I predict I'll be back to try more milkshakes like the delightful-sounding Oreo mint.

large coke filled completely with huge ice no coke

this was my large coke from cookout the whole thing is just filled with one huge chunk of ice and i wasn't even given a straw either, like they knew there was nothing to drink! and even when i asked for a straw after being given it i was rudely told "there is one in the bag" then slammed the window shut, which there was NOT one in the bag. idk how you can simply mess up a coke of all things, but i'm definitely disappointed to wait in line for 20 minutes for this...

My son took us by here late at night, letting us know it was an Auburn student favorite. Wow! Now I know why. You can get a ton of food for next to nothing. Shakes were great and my son got a tray full of food for $5. Awesome.

$6.52 for my order of cheddar style burger with a side of chili and chicken quesadilla plus an unsweetened iced tea. The charbroil on the burger was delicious and the bacon was yummy even though it wasn't crispy. I had lots of cheese and onions in my burger (which I liked) and it was ooey and gooey and exactly what I hoped it would taste! The side of chili was thick and smoky. It comes in a small container but it's quite dense! As for the chicken quesadilla, I probably will not order that again. It was kind of gross and I can't even assure you that what I ate was chicken (see my photo). The chicken wasn't so much shredded, as much as it was tiny, chewy leftover pieces of who-knows-what. So, I won't order chicken here again. A great bargain for how much you get and the hand-washing station at the front of the restaurant is pretty cool, too!

Large Cheese Burger, Onion Rings, chili

Amazing! The food was great and while the chili seemed small and there weren't a lot of rings together with the burger it was the perfect amount. I got this and a soda for $7. Cheaper and better than a McDonalds meal!

Very fast service considering they are extremely busy right now. It's a new spot in Auburn you know everyone is coming out in droves to try out the newest thing. The menu has a good number of options from burgers, to chicken, barbecue, hot dogs, and quesadillas. They also have a huge number of milkshake options (40 or more) so if your feeling one of those I am sure they will have something you will love. I had the Crispy Chicken Cajun wrap and I loved it and if you are into spicy food I would encourage you to try it. I will say that if you are even remotely trying to watch what you are eating this is just not the place for you to go to. There are no salad options and no options for a lettuce wrap instead of a bun on anything. But if that doesn't bother you, and for most people it doesn't, I would definitely encourage you to try this place out.

    Teeny tiny patty.

It's as one expected, but great bang for your buck here. Fries aren't as good as they could be, but the burgers and chicken are good.

Nothing makes the locals feel appreciated quite like being marketed as seasonal seat-fillers. I'm a burger 'n a beer guy, and I had been meaning to try this place for a while--even though I suspected I might not fit the target demographic (people who know what Wagyu beef is and believe that it is for burgers- that's not me). Still, I did my part. I chose a quiet summer Sunday evening and took my wife. The place wasn't crowded, and we were seated quickly. So far, so good. The townies were in play! I asked for a draft beer list. I didn't feel it in the moment but that is where the train jumped off of the track! Instead, I received a QR code. Fine. I've played this game before and it worked great, taking me directly to the current beer list. Except this QR code didn't lead to a beer list. It led to an app. Apparently; beverages had been placed behind a technological security checkpoint. I'm not in the habit of collecting unnecessary restaurant apps like souvenir cups, but I tried to be a good sport and downloaded it. The app then requested my personal information so I could create an account--because, evidently, viewing a draft beer list now requires the same level of commitment as applying for a mortgage. That was where I drew the line. I closed the app, deleted it, and decided I would just drink water. Then I remembered why I had come: a burger and a beer. A burger and water felt less like dinner and more like disciplinary action. So, I told my wife we needed a new plan, because we weren't eating there. We regrouped at The Irish Bred Pub in Opelika and had a great meal. No app. No account. No data harvesting. No identity verification. I didn't even need to provide the name of my first pet. Better yet, there was no need to consult a beer list--they always have Guinness on tap. I won't be back to Jack Brown's Beer & Burger Joint. Will my absence affect their's bottom line? Of course not. I'm one townie with unreasonable expectations--like being allowed to see what beer is available without entering into a formal digital relationship. But from this townie's perspective, the customer-engagement experience was a complete miss. The food may be outstanding. It may also be a spectacularly good value. I'll never know because I couldn't make it past the beer-menu background check. Potenial customers keep doing what you're doing. Just understand that anyone who wants to see the draft beer list will apparently need to surrender an email address first. Oh--and for the record, I never even clicked the QR code for the food menu. By then, I had already exceeded my administrative limit for dinner.

She made sure we were taken care of, was very clear and knowledgeable about the menu, gave incredible recommendations, and was also thoughtful in celebrating my boyfriend's promotion to Captain in the Army! The ambiance is really sweet. Whether you're here on a date, catching up with friends over a nice meal, in the mood to watch some sports, or celebrating a special occasion, this is your place! There's a sweet vibe going on with some music in the back, but it's not too loud where you can't hear your own conversations at the table. The food? Chef's kiss. They have a rotating menu, I think depending on the season/time of year, but they have some consistent all-year-round items on the menu. I first came here on Valentine's weekend with my boyfriend, and absolutely loved it. Couldn't stop thinking about their truffle parm fries, nor their milk and cookies- finger licking good. This time around, we got the Farmer's Daughter (which made my usually anti-veggie boyfriend absolutely love btw), half-dozen Gulf Coast oysters, and fall-off-the-bone lamb shanks. This is the kind of place you go to where you won't be able to find these dishes just anywhere. It's uniquely delicious, and I genuinely think you can't go wrong with what you choose! Let me start by saying the building is beautiful and the atmosphere feels like a nice restaurant. Also, the cocktail menu was definitely curated by someone who knows what they are doing. The appetizer Barrotta cheese was the best part of the evening. With that being said, the entrees were lackluster and small. Our food came out lukewarm at best and honestly seemed like not a lot of thought went into them. I know that this restaurant is supposed to be upscale, but I don't think I should pay 55$ per persons meal and still leave hungry. Also, the staff needs training. The whole time it felt like they were concerned with fast turn over and nothing else. Part of upscale dining is that the price of food and quality of service is more important than turn over time. Generally speaking I will not be back to eat here again.
