I have tried the food when I was younger and it was always great but idk if they fell off, I didn't try the food just a milkshake. I live in Florida and there are no cook outs, when ever I come to Georgia I specifically come to this cook out. It's right next to my grandparents and a grew up here. My grandpa would always get us a milkshake and burger. I had dinner already and I'm leaving back to Florida tomorrow so I asked my husband to stop for milkshakes. I got a Carmel milkshake, but it was stacked on top of a second cup, i thought it was an accident but no. Instead I lift up the first cup that had no bottom so they stuck it in another cup, and if you know cook out then you know their milkshakes are THICK like ice cream. I always have to use a spoon, and I was just finding chunk after chunk of styrofoam, I just kept pulling more and more out my mouth, had a few scared because there were some small pieces. I got the BBQ grilled chicken sandwich which was suppose to come with TWO SIDES! Yall they placed the hell out of me giving me 8 cheese bites and the rest fries. You talking about PISSED! This establishment has a menu that my son in law claims was designed by a teen age boy! When ordering a "tray" you pick your main item, say a cheeseburger, then select two sides. Sides include the traditional things like fries and onion rings but also include things like quesadillas, hush puppies, and chicken wraps. Yesterday my 9yo grandson's tray was a cheeseburger with sides of a corn dog and hush puppies. The tray also included a drink and he upgraded to an Oreo milkshake. The shakes her are very good, especially the eggnog (December only) and the watermelon (July only). This is fast food but it's always dependable and quick. read more

Have gone through the drive thru a few times and as far as late night dining choices go in Augusta it's a great place to grab a burger. I disagree with the person who called Cookout a hole in the wall business. I have always found it clean and friendly. Their menu is varied and surprisingly good for a fast food establishment. Hamburgers are quite good--fresh and tasty. Fried onion, okra and fries are good. BBQ burgers are a favorite of a friend of mine. I have only been, on several occasions, on Sunday evenings and I did not find it filled with teens "cussing up a storm" as mentioned in another review. This is a new cookout that recently opened and I thought I would try it out. Having just been to the Belair one the night before, thought it would be a good comparison. I ordered exactly the same tray items. I told the lady I wanted the burger all the way as I had at the other one the night before. When i got to the window she tried to charge me 6.75 when the same items cost me 5.50 at the Belair cookout. When I questioned it they were unsure so I pulled out my receipt from the night before. They then told me all the way there was with chilli and coleslaw and you have to pay extra for those. Having eaten at numerous cook outs before i have never had those items on a burger when asked for it all the way. Decided to try cook out for the second day in a row just a different location here in Augusta. Today I had a regular burger out west style. Just as delicious as yesterday, fresh ingredients and a burger that actually tasted like a burger! I can really say there burgers are by far the best fast food burger I've ever had and better than 5 guys or Bobbys burgers and a better value. Fries are just as good as yesterday except I tried the Cajun seasoning on them and I was not disappointed. If I had any complaints it would be that the food was to hot. If your hamburger bun is 4 inches across, your burger should not be 3. A properly cooked burger is juicy. An overcooked burger is dry and tastless. Guess which one I got. The batter on the onion rings is bland and in need of salt. Service is good and fast. I think the fast part is a major contributer to the burgers being overcooked. Grabbed a quick bite to eat for dinner. You can't go wrong with the 5$ trays. A main thing 2 sides and a drink! Our server was Bryce and he was so friendly and kind. I had the chicken strips which were delicious and hush puppies also so freaking delicious with coleslaw ( which could have been better but was still delicious) . I went to Cook Out for the first time today. I've been a long time fan of Five Guys and gourmet burger restaurants like Grindhouse Killer and Farmburger in Atlanta. I must say that the burger at Cook Out is on par with those premium burger restaurants. I tried the cajun seasoned fries and onion rings and found that the fries were mediocre. I would recommend onion rings or other sides in lieu of fries here. It's also important to note that this location only takes Mastercard and Visa not American Express and Discover. read more
