A "Tray meal" is expensive (over $10.00) yet the last 4 times I've ordered it with the same meal as each other time only 5 teeny tiny cheese bites come with it as a side. I've ordered at all different times and all different meals because I just knew there was a mistake somewhere that I could blame myself for. The chicken strips, while they're awesome, and second side are small as well considering the price paid. It's supposed to be an Entree, 2 sides and a drink, for over $10.00 though??? I'm a 58 year old woman and the portions barely fill me up. I can't imagine if I were feeding a family of 4 and they were all male. That would be over $50 for 4 Tray meals and I'm only 135 pounds and am not full after eating there. I can't imagine being a guy trying to fill up on it. Anyway I'm just making this review to warn others about the portion size vs. the price. Be careful is all I'm saying. We don't eat there anymore because of this. I am giving it 5 stars. Because of how friendly the staff is. And they're very knowledgeable about their menu. I asked a couple of questions about sizes and a few other things what were their items. They were very knowledgeable and took the time to let me know what was in their food what was in their food. And when I tried a strawberry cheesecake shake for the 1st time from here the thickness of the milkshake is the thickness I like of a consistent milkshake. It's not too thin but it's not too thick or you can't drink it and it's not too thin where melts really quick. And I decided order occasion prize because I wasn't really hungry right now and I'll tell you it's not too salty and it has enough seasoning on it to know what it is. But I am definitely making a comeback to try that cheeseburger taste of DIA because a person made it sound good. read more

Coming from a state that doesn't have cook out, I thought they'd have their shit together, but apparently not. My husband and I both got burgers and onion rings. It all tasted like it was made hours prior and was sitting under a heat lamp the entire time. Not sure if it's just because of it being in Clarksville, and everything sucks here or if it's the franchise as a whole. Either way, I'm not spending my money here again. Food is MEH... but man, there milkshakes are so freaking good! I've gone back twice just for a milkshake. The peanut butter fudge and Oreo cookies are my favorite. The one thing about cook out's facility is there double drive thru? I mean it's super confusing. Why not just one drive thru? First time I came I got so confused and frustrated I just left. It's not really convenient, the way they have it. The second time I came here I ordered a burger with a side of fries and nuggets. You get 3 of the worlds smallest nuggets and the burger was not good at all. I could see why people come here drunk and think it's the worlds greatest fast food. I ordered the chicken strip tray and when I got home, there was no chicken strips in it so then I called the restaurant where he told me that I would have to come back 15 minutes to make them make me a new one and I had just recently got home. My baby was hungry and that just wasn't feasible for me to go back and put her in the car again. So he then said, well then you can come back another day and come get your food and I told him it was my meal for the night and he said "well I don't know what you want me to do" and then accuse me of lying and saying that I took the chicken strips out. Staff is as rude as it gets and fries are never fresh. I will always go to the one of Wilma over this one. This cookout is the worst I've been to from KY, TN, NC, and VA. I've never been treated so poorly. 10/10 would recommend anyone to take the extra minutes to go to the cookout off Wilma if you want your food to be fresh and treated decently. The pulled pork BBQ sandwich is awesome. I am the type of person who wants to taste the product before I fly to adding condiments to it. The pork bbq is delicious as served with coleslaw and Texas Pete. Wouldn't change a thing. I ordered one sandwich to try them out, and had to go back through and buy another and add a shake.
