Worst customer service ever... waited in the drive thru line... when it was my turn no response from the employee about helping me. So rude... so disrepectful to the customer. .. was closed and didn't say anything... the lights were on and a total of 7 cars ...2 before me and 4 after... but there's more... because it's close to my home, and I work late... not to many places are open. I decide to try this place one more time, because they have so many locations and I'm hungry. I order my food, live less than a mile away and ..wait for it... food was cold as if it has been sitting, fries are dark brown, so you can tell it's been sitting. I just wanted to give a shout out to Modesty. Worked late tonight and didn't feel like cooking at 1am. The wait was a tad long but understandable with everyone being short staffed plus the time of night. Even under all the pressure, Modesty was very polite and greeted me with a smile on her face. I could tell she was putting in 100% to get everyone through the line. Hard worker as far as I'm concerned which is hard to come by these days! Keep up the good work Modesty! Your pretty much getting what you pay for that's for sure. EXCEPT the portion is outrageously big. You will definitely get full. If you want a full belly this is the place. Food quality isn't there. Setting, I wish was a bit bigger. I recommend this establishment to a selective crowd. read more

I received a complimentary tray coupon as a result of not being 100% satisfied with my food during my last visit. I've eaten food from the Cook Out before, and enjoyed it, so I knew that my inedible, extremely soggy burger from my last visit was not the norm. I called the toll free number on my cup to complain, and they sent me a coupon for the tray. Ok, newbies, a tray consists of an entrée, 2 sides, and a large drink. For this visit, I decided to go inside to order. The restaurant was clean, and the employees were friendly. For my complimentary tray meal, I ordered a cheddar style burger (a burger with cheese, grilled onions, mayo, and bacon) French fries, onion rings, and a Cheerwine soft drink. I waited less than 5 minutes, and my food was ready! I was a little scared that my burger would be soggy again since they wrap the entrées in foil. I was a little disappointed that I only received about 5 or 6 onion rings, but they did deliver on a lot of fries! The food was hot, and tasted fresh, and surprisingly, my burger was not soggy! Ugh! So we're hungry, it's late, and we don't want to drive too far. We end up trying Cook Out - we already tried them a while back for milkshakes and were very disappointed. So we figured we'd try their real food. Husband got the double burger, onion rings, and chicken tenders. The burger was sloppy and kept sliding. The nuggets tasted like spongy cardboard. He was unhappy. I got a regular burger with cheese. I said no onions - guess what I got? You betcha...onions! My beef patty was tiny in comparison to the bread and my gigantic tomato. Service was horrible! Waited in the drive-thru line for over 25 min. I had 2 separate orders and Diamond (cashier taking orders) cut me off before I could even place the second order, I was told I had to go all the way back around to place the second order. When I finally got my food, I was missing items, fries were cold, burger was sloppy. Never coming there again. Dont waste your time on this cookout. The wait time in the line was so long somebody behind me drove off and the employees were laughing about it. read more

This cool used to be my favorite place to go , especially late night. If this wasn't one of the few places thats open late night to eat, I would never come here. There's this one associate that every time I com here & she's working, the line is wrapped around the building & let's not talk about her customer service ( just awful). Many times I would have to yell just for her to get my Order correct, never hands me my order, I would have to stretch out my window to get it and her attitude is just terrible. Why work here if you don't want to be here. This location had to do better with their customer service & it "might" become my favorite spot to go to again. read more

I usually love Cook Out - make sure you check your food at this location. When I ordered, the guy just asked if I wanted anything else and then handed me the wrong food and milkshakes at the window. Afterwards, he tried to argue. "Corrected" my order, but it was half-assed and still wrong. Maybe you should, you know, verify an order before handing someone some food - either at the menu board or the window. That'd be great. read more

I will start this by saying I come here a lot; it's close and inexpensive, plus the food tastes good. As for the bad: - their burgers are too small (but it isn't this store's fault, this is a chain fault... I have to order 2 burgers just to feel satisfied. - Something is very off with the customer service of this particular store (the one on Austell Rd).. not sure what it is, maybe I come in at wrong times, but the servers always seem angry or bored, like they want to slap me for no reason. I've had a few decent servers, but the majority seems like that. (is it from bad/stressful management? do they really hate their jobs? I don't know..) I will still be coming here though.. read more

Can't beat the tray, good deal in the fast food world. Burger is different from any other fast food burger you'll eat. It does have a "cook out" quality to it from the patty to the oddly large slice of tomato. Onion rings are nothing special so stick with the fries and his puppies if that's your thing. Truly horrible. If it were possible to give 0 stars, I would. Staff is poorly trained and 2 out of 4 orders were incorrect. Service was extraordinarily slow, tables were not clean, napkins and condiments were not provided and neither cashier answered when i asked for assistance . For a $5 meal, this place is the jam. Upgrade your burger just how you want it, and comes with two sides and a drink. My favorite side is the hushpuppies- just delicious. The side quesadilla is pretty durn good- just a tortilla with melted cheese and chicken, not pressed or anything, but for what it is, it's great! We love, love this place for a good burger or chicken sandwich when we're in the mood for this kind of food. The big burger tops any fast food one around and the spicy chicken sandwich is better than Wendy's. The lettuce is crisp, the onion fresh and crunchy, and the tomato good and not cut in a paper thin sliver. With the sandwich you get 2 sides or you can double up on one. My favorite thing is that for an extra dollar you can upgrade your drink to a shake..and it's a big shake..thick enough to need a spoon and comes in so many flavors that anybody could find one they like. I haven't tried it myself, but I heard the cheer wine float is super. You absolutely can't beat the price. Every time we go there, it seems to have a steady flow of customers both inside and drive thru. read more

The cookout has the Best burgers with a good price. I know everybody is not an onion, pickle or tomato person but I like the fact that every time I bite into my double burger, I taste everything that is on my sandwich. They are not skimpy. The burger is so much better than the regular burger joints that surrounds this location. My only dislike is the restaurant should be bigger to handle the traffic of people that comes in and out of the restaurant; and the drive-through which moves at a nice steady pace should be more accessible and not so congested but lets end on a good note!
