If I didn't have someone in my life who loves Cook Out so much, I honestly wouldn't come here. No matter what I order, there's always something wrong--especially at night. The food is cheap and convenient, sure, but that doesn't excuse getting the wrong order almost every single time. I can say my order clearly a dozen times, and the receipt will even print out correctly, but when I get home, something is always off. Please tell me how I can order fruit punch and end up with sweet tea. Or how I can ask for sauces on the side and get them dumped all over the food. It just doesn't make sense. At this point, I'm convinced it's not a one-time issue--it's a pattern of not paying attention or just not caring. I shouldn't have to double-check everything in the bag every visit just to make sure it's right. If it weren't for my kids loving this place, I'd stop coming altogether. It's frustrating to keep paying for food I didn't order or can't eat. Cook Out really needs to work on listening to customers and making sure the food in the bag actually matches what's on the receipt. And honestly, if I have to keep checking and correcting my order every time, Cook Out might as well start putting me on the payroll--I'm practically doing quality control at this point! read more

I ordered #2173 Jun 26 at 6;59 pm 2 milk shakes with no whip cream and I received 2 shakes with all whip cream and long banana slices on the bottom . They were awful not even cold because had no ice cream in it . I would have taken them back but was already 5 miles away when discovered . I guess this was a joke by the employee because I ordered no whip cream but they just lost my business , I'll get my shakes at Dairy Queen or Sonic . We ordered old west dbl burgers (cheese, ketchup, mayo, bbq sauce, bacon, pickles, NO Onions). One came w 1 patty, heavy onions & a wet bun. One came w 2 patties, heavy onions & cheese. It was a tortilla with a little shredded cheese and a couple of grill pieces of burger that looked like they cleaned the grill. I have eaten at Cookout a couple of times but never at this location. They will charge you for things that you didn't order and even if the order is taken properly, the kitchen staff couldn't get it right if it were tattooed to the backs of their eyelids. If I could give zero stars I would this place is the worst! I stopped and got food for my wife my three-year-old daughter and myself and I ordered a milkshake for my daughter. When they give me the milkshake they gave it to me in 2 cups I separated the cups and notice one of them was broken and instead of Remaking the milkshake they simply put it in another cup I asked them to please remake it Because I was scared they would be a piece of foam in the milkshake so they took it back and gave me what I thought was going to be a fresh milkshake I gave it to my daughter as she was eating it she asked what some thing was we looked over and it was a piece of foam they never remade the milkshake they just dumped it all into one cup and my daughter almost choked in a piece of foam. Every single time I smell the beautiful aroma of a juicy and succulent burger. Unfortunately I am disappointed constantly by this particular Cook Out. The cheese bites were exceptional only because they were cooked right, yet my burger was so well done it tasted like rubber seasoned with monkey urine. The service is always terrible at this spot compared to the location in Indian Trail. I clearly said I wanted Cajun fries (not normal fries), I also clearly said I wanted buffalo sauce just in case they under-seasoned everything like I planned. Definitely the worst Cook Out experience I have ever had. It took about 30 minutes to get through the drive through and when we got our food the sprite had no ice in it and was warm and we ordered 4 chicken quesadillas and received 4 cheese quesadillas. My guess is that they ran out of chicken and cook out sauce and decided they would just give us cheese quesadillas without telling us. I had the worst time here last night. I had the worst service and a rude drive-thru lady. All I asked at the window was for her to repeat my order and she rolled her eyes and just ripped the receipt off the bag an told me to read it myself and closed her window. To start, every time we come here we run into an issue with our order and the staff is usually not all the pleasant but never as blatantly rude as today. The manager, who's name I am unaware of, saved the day and handled the situation very well and made sure to take care of us. He was extremely friendly, very understanding, and made conversation with us while taking care of us. So while the store as a whole I am not a fan of, I must say the manager saved this review. We waited at the drive thru speaker and counted how long we were there. Ten minutes passed after not getting even a simple "hello" and orders were continuing to be taken in the other line. When we advanced forward to see if we could be assisted at the window, we were greeted with "Ummm..... ya'll were supposed to wait..." we simply explained to her the situation but she very unpleasantly told us that "like she said" we were supposed to wait. We asked if it was possible for our order to be taken at the window, she said absolutely not. We asked if we could see her manager- she left the window for five minutes and stared at us. When we didn't leave she came back to ask us what the problem was and we kindly asked again to speak to the manager. She shut the door on us because she couldn't seem to understand that nobody spoke to us for ten minutes and we were simply confused. So I called the manager and turns out she never went to speak with him nor was he aware of the situation. We came to the walk up window where the manager apologized and kindly took the time out of his day to help us. I believe that they were understaffed and it seemed like he was really pushing to keep the team going. One the woman who took my order was rude and could not articulate my order in a proper manner. Two I had them repeat the order thrice and EVERYTHING IS STILL WRONG. There was a container of bleach sitting right next to the grill on top of the lowboy. A young man in a black shirt (assuming he was on the Managment team) walked out side towards the trash cans, opened the door to get back in, produced, and served food with the same exact glove. Leaving a blind spot for an estimated 2.7 seconds to take off the glove wash his hands for 20 seconds and put a brand new one on if he actually properly changed gloves which is little to unreal.
