The food was ok, but after we drove off I discovered we didn't have a straw, napkins or ketchup. My husband had specifically asked if the ketchup was in the bag and was told that it was. Sitting in this location as I write this. My receipt was time stamped 12:59pm. Family of 5. Got 1 persons order and 2 milkshakes after 20 minutes. Didn't receive the rest until asking about it at the 40 minute mark. Finally received 3 of the orders and part of the 4th at 1:46pm. When I went back to the counter to ask about the last part, I was ignored for 5 minutes while other patrons were also complaining of 40+ minute waits and incorrect orders. If you are looking for food late at night then this is the place for you! Cook Out is open until 2:00 am! After a crazy long day, we decided to head here because, honestly, it was the only thing still open. We went through the drive thru and got friendly, if a bit confused, service. We had a large order so somewhere between tray combos and individual orders and sides, things got a little mixed up. It took us a few minutes to get details ironed out but luckily everyone was pleasant. Cook Out has a wide selection of combos or trays as they call them. They have bbq, burgers, hot dogs, corn dogs, chicken, quesadillas, fries, onion rings, and more. They also offer over 40 flavors of milkshakes as well as floats and cheesecake. Milkshake flavors can be combined to make just what you want. Prices are very reasonable and the food is surprisingly good. I got the huge burger with cheese, cheese fries, and slaw with a peach cobbler milkshake. Yum! The burger was so good. The charbroiled taste was great and it was a cheesy delicious mess. What a disappointment. Traveling through Montgomery and stopped by. Order a burger with everything except pickles and cheese. Burger came with nothing. Just a burger pattie and bun. This location had no ketchup for fries. Ordered a mint chocolate chip milk shake. No chocolate chips. So canceled that. The staff seemed not to be concerned. The supervisor just said sorry. The burger pattie was good. That's the only positive thing. Your management needs to take some corrective action here asap. Other customers said they would never come here again, too. read more

Great location to stop if your on a road trip. Easy to get to off exit, next to gas station and other shops. Well lit and decent location. Clean dining area and bathroom (only one stall in each bathroom). Food was delicious and quickly served. Their milkshakes are also delicious. Would visit again when in the area. Cons: I wouldn't consider this safe for someone with Celiac due to cross contamination. It's very much a fast food establishment. After a great night out, my friends and I thought cookout would be a great late night snack. We were extremely wrong and should've went to waffle house. The food was nasty, disgusting. The fries were just a greasy mess, the burger was a slither of meat and onions and the hotdog was by far one of the worst hotdogs I have ever had. The chili tasted burnt, the cheese tasted artificial, and the actual meat and bun was hard. Overall the hotdog was not edible I took a bite and threw it away. I literally only drank my milkshake. The cast members were friendly and did have mask on as well. The food was placed in multiple Togo boxes and foil paper. Cheap but not worth it at all. read more

I only go here if everywhere else is closed and I don't feel like driving across town for food. But even then, it's really, really better to just waste the gas rather than waste the money. I just went through the drive thru and not only was the girl on the intercom really rude and brisk with me, she charged me for my onion rings and then didn't give them to me.
