Took our 2025 Honda pilot in to the service dept because air conditioning blower kept going on and off. This had happened right after we bought the car new, last year. They replaced the blower. Now a year later it is going out again. The service guy said it was working fine. There is some thing wrong with it as it is hit and miss as to whether it is going to stay on. We paid for CAR DOC and the service guy said, " just bring it back if it happens again." Then he called my husband an "old man". I spoke with the same salesman I bought a car from the previous yr, had a scheduled apt. Upon my arrival I was rushed to the car and the keys given to me to test drive the car alone upon my return, the same carsalesman again gave me roughly 5mins if his time before assuring me he would send me payment options later. I had a family member go by and check out the car as well. A nissan to which the same car salesman told my family member he wouldnt buy the car because they are known to have transmission issues. But the same car salesman was going to let me buy that car, never having said anything of the sort to me, nor did he even take the time to try and get me to look at any other cars. Arrived 10min early for an oil change/rotation as recommended and had vehicle taken right away. At that point it was wait. I saw a few customers who arrived later finish before I did. I ended up waiting 1hr and 40min. When I arrived home, I found greasy handprints on the fender. I paid for 6 changes, so it means I have to use them again but don't want to use a half day for an oil change. read more

I took my car in (24' civic sport sedan) to have its first oil change and get a check list done on it. Service was great super friendly. They have snacks and puzzles in the waiting room. My advice to anyone that goes to any car mechanic is to over look your car in their parking lot after service. Make sure they do the job they say that they did. ****Warning****. Be careful if you use this service center for the Piston Ring Failure Extended Warranty you received from Honda for these vehicles 2013-2015 Pilots and 2013-2017 Odyssey. They will NOT finish the warranty for you. Our catalytic converters were ruined from the oil that was ran through the exhaust system due to the bad oil rings. They refused to warranty these items even though the code was already in the system, they would not give us the code information on a sheet, Honda reports covering addition items like the Catalytic Converters due to this problem under this warranty, they didn't offer any fixes, just handed back our keys to us with a check engine light on and the vehicle in worst shape than when we brought it there before the rings being replaced. It's sitting in our driveway un-drivable right now not safe to drive for my wife. They said they have never seen or heard of this before even though it is in the Honda warranty write up that this will ruin the Catalytic Converters. You can find this information on Google. We asked multiple mechanics and they said it was exactly what happened to our van. We have to go to Honda now and another location to finish the job. They acted like they were doing us this big favor through the whole experience. We did not feel like a customer but someone that owed them. We paid $1100 for a new timing belt as well. Wish I never spent that money with them. Very poor service and management. Take your extended warranty work to another Honda dealership. This service manager, Chris Hammock, will not finish the job and will watch you walk out with a broken car and no answers and they do not care. Horrible experience. read more

I ended up on the hunt for a car in December 2022 after the used car I had had for 15 years finally gave out. Given that I had bought that car used when I first started driving (from a private owner), I was not looking forward to the whole car buying process. I have heard numerous horror stories and was settled NOT buying a car from a dealership. After a month of no luck and outrageously priced used cars, I decided to make a trip to Cookeville Honda just to see what my options were. I started chatting with Dillon Flowers, who made me feel extremely comfortable from the time I walked in. He was knowledgeable, didn't rush me or try to "sell" me on certain things, and allowed me all the time I needed to make an informed decision. Not once did I feel pressured or obligated to buy from them. He gave me space to make some phone calls, look online, and weigh my options without following me around and making me feel like I NEEDED to buy. I liked that he allowed me to test drive the cars on my own (unlike many other places), because I really got to focus on the car and spend a lot of time looking it over. I ended up buying a Honda HRV, and I have been so happy with it! Not one complaint. Dillon walked me through the process, explained all the jargon, and really helped me understand what I was getting into. I had numerous questions after buying it, especially in regards to getting set up on the payment site, service questions, etc. and it never took him more than 30 minutes to return a text or phone call. A couple months after buying the car, I noticed some hard water spots on it that weren't going away. I called him up, and he immediately told me to bring it in so they could take care of it. No questions asked. They gave me a rental car in the mean time, hand buffed all of the spots out, and cleaned the inside as well. No fuss, no paperwork to fill out, just easy. Dillon has been reliable, quick to respond, and super great to work with. I would recommend Cookeville Honda a million times over. I am usually the type of person who loves to read reviews but never takes time to leave them, but in this case, I felt obligated to leave my own! 10/10 would recommend! read more

I took my car in 2 days ago to have battery checked because it wouldn't start and they said it was fine nothing wrong with it. this morning got up to go to work same thing wouldn't start called Honda and they said for me to call a tow truck and have it towed to them. I'm sure Cookeville Honda has been waiting for my review for a little over a month. I went into Cookeville Honda on July 4th at 36 weeks pregnant to look at a 2012 Nissan Quest SL, it had 64xxx miles on it that I found on CARFAX. My salesman was Bernie Dawes- he was super nice to me. I test drove it and loved it and decided to buy it. I went into financing and let Mr. Dickerson know that I would be financing through my bank. He assured me that I wouldn't get a better interest rate than 6.59% ‍ he was very rude and hateful about that- I ended up going through my bank and getting a MUCH lower interest rate and car payment! As we were discussing that and he was trying to prove me wrong, he flipped the computer screen around and when he did I noticed the price of the car had been increased by 895$. I asked about why that had happened- he made a phone call and then said to me that it was a "fee" for finding the car online. At that time I had been there for hours and was ready to go- I said whatever, and I would deal with it later. I get home and email the general manager, I called him the next day and he looks into it- he calls me back and tells me he will give me 500$ back on the deal. Hm. NO. He ended up sending me the other 395$ as well. Great, that was all settled! Now when I got to the dealership Mr. Dawes had the car waiting on me and running so I never did see the car being started. I noticed when I got home after it sat for about an hour there was blue-ish white-ish colored smoke coming from the exhaust. Hmm.. so I then made an appointment to have my car have diagnostics ran on it on July 20 at Victory Nissan in Dickson (they have been super awesome). I ended up going into labor on July 19 so I had to cancel that appointment. I made another appointment for August 3rd- I take my car to Dickson, I wait a few days and call up there to see what's going on and to see about getting a loaner car. Dickson didn't have a loaner car big enough for me and my FOUR children. So I was told to go through Cookeville to get a loaner car- I text Colin who is the General manager there to tell him I need a loaner car that is big enough for my family- he says okay, I'll have you one ready... I get up there Saturday and this man gives me a HONDA FIT- a freaking clown car. So as of now, my parents are taking one of my kids to school and I'm taking the others because they can't ALL fit inside that tiny car. ‍ this place is so unprofessional! Not even done yet.... so, the diagnostics test reveals my ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION are both bad and need to be replaced- and I was assured there was a 157 point inspection done on this car!! Thats a LIE. Victory Nissan in Dickson has been great dealing with this shit show and THANK GOD for a 90 day warranty. I didn't even have this car for a month before it threw a ton of codes! I would steer clear of this place if I were you, these guys thought they were going to get one over on me and tried to take advantage of me! read more

Received an offer from them, accepted the offer and provided my personal financial information to hold vehicle. Several hours later was told vehicle had been shown to another customer and sold. We wanted to trade our vehicle on a new HR-V. Spoke with Jason Scott. The way that Cookeville Honda does it is this. They show the price of the vehicle. Then, by law because of crooked companies like this, they have to spell out all the other stuff they want to charge you (stuff they tried to hide) on the side - items like $900 destination charge or $1,250 car doc, $499 environment package, $500 doc fee, etc., etc., etc. Nothing but fees and cheap products that no one wants but they mark way up to make even more money off us sucker customers. In our case, these extra charges totaled almost $4,000. When we went in to make the deal, we told Jason that we did not want any of that add on stuff. Yet, when he came back with their deal, they had it in there - tried to hide it from us. I called them out on it and Jason got mad about it - he would not take it off. Thus, he essentially told us that if we wanted a deal with them, we would have to pay for all of that - pay for stuff we did not want or need (no one needs that stuff). Then, when we tried to leave, Jason stuck his arm in our window and crowed up against the side mirror in an attempt to stop us from leaving - all while yelling at us (we were also yelling back). He was essentially holding us hostage out of our fear of backing up and hitting him. This is not a dealership. This is a stealership. Jason is a professional liar. The games they play and the crooked stuff they try to get away with is just astounding. It did not work with us but how many others out there have been ripped off by these tactics? I feel sorry for these customers (or, as Cookeville Honda thinks of them - suckers)! It is tactics like this that Cookeville Honda is required to post all those other charges plainly. We recently bought a Honda CR-V from Cookeville Honda. We were working with salesman Billy Daniels who is absolutely great and had been working with him for many months on trying to find the right vehicle for me. He would always send me pictures of something he thought I would like and it went on for months. He finally found one that caught my eye and I was really interested in this vehicle. My husband works long hours and it was hard to get together on this vehicle. Billy went above and beyond to accommodate to his work hours to help us get this vehicle. We went in on a Saturday so my husband could test drive this vehicle and look at it a little better than online, but someone had took the car and moved it and no one could find the keys. Billy had found the keys on Monday morning so I went in on Tuesday, which happened to be Billys day off to do a little bit of paperwork, not thinking anything would affect the deal. Another young man had handed me and my daughter the keys and told us to take it for a spin. Everything was good car drove great and I loved it! I had noticed something on Tuesday and told my husband when he went back in on Wednesday after work when Billy was working to do paper work and sign final papers, to look and make sure they put Billys name as the salesman, come to find out they had also put down the young mans name who handed us the keys. The young man was very nice but did not help in any way, all he did was hand me the keys and tell me to take it for a spin. Billy had worked on this deal for me for a very long time and was very deserving of the full bonus amount for all of his hard work. He earned that bonus, no one else. When I mentioned to the finance guy Anthony, I asked him if Billy was going to receive full bonus, he stated to me and my husband both, "yes." Come to find out they actually split the percentage of car sale between Billy and the young man who only handed me the keys. Apparently you cant trust anyone. The finance guy that I dealt with assured me that Billy would receive full bonus for his work, but did not. By him not getting that was an absolutely terrible feeling and actually made me want to take the car back. My husband and I were both very disappointed that they did that to the guy who helped me find my dream vehicle which was Billy Daniels. This was actually my second car that I had purchased from Cookeville Honda from Billy Daniels and it is my last. Giving someone something for doing nothing and taking from someone who had worked so hard to help me is very disappointing that they would do something like this at Cookeville Honda. Drove over 500 miles to look at a used truck. Before we home, we received a phone call from the dealership indicating something was wrong with the transmission and the truck would have to be sold, "wholesale," My husband (ASE mechanic) said we were interested in it and would fix the transmission himself. Upon arriving at the dealership, we noticed the truck had a sticker in the window indicating a warranty and we were told it had been "went over" and everything was in good condition. My husband crawled underneath and found a list of items wrong with it (4WD wasn't connected, transfer case, hood props, transmission, clutch, bald tires, etc.). My husband then talked to the used car salesman and kindly told him what was wrong with the truck. This guy tried to feed my husband a bunch of bull about himself and the truck. He said he wouldn't sell the truck for "wholesale price" and if we weren't interested in it, he was going to take it to the auction AND get the price he wants for it. I feel bad for the sorry sap who ends up with this piece of crap for a truck. He was beyond arrogant, he was rude. As an HR professional, I would not have an employee like that on my team. Employees like this guy is making a bad reputation for your dealership. A word of advice . . . honesty prevails. I don't know how people like him sleep at night. read more

Please read carefully before buying a vehicle from Cookeville Honda. Please keep in mind the salesmen are car salesman looking to make large amounts of money, even off friends. I was interested in a particular used car and a friend is a salesman at this dealership so I thought who better to buy a car off of than a church going family friend of many years. Contacted him on Monday and made an appointment to see him Friday. Made it clear to contact me if the car of interests sold because that was the vehicle I wanted. The friend (car salesman) called Thursday to confirm the appointment. Show up on Friday hoped in a vehicle with the friend that is the salemans at the new car lot and he drives us down the road to the used car lot. We then drove around the parking lot looking for the vehicle of interest and did not see it. The salesman said I know that vehicle was parked right here. He then headed in to the dealership to see what happened to the vehicle. Came back and said man someone sold that car late last night after I left. No big deal stuff happens and can't blame them for selling cars. Too bad on Facebook my church friend had posted on Wednesday night that he sold the vehicle I was interested in. Then took me to be a fool and tried to sale me many other cars. So they will lie to family friends to try to make another sale. read more

For the past ten years or so we have purchased cars from Cookeville Honda. Even driving over an hour and a half to look at cars. We have ALWAYS had a good experience, until this past time. Went to trade in a car but the deal fell through. I was sad that I had to return the amazing Odyssey we were trying to get, but still happy that I was going to be driving a Honda. The problem started when I went to return the Odyssey and pick up my CRV. They LOST one of my car keys. Now this is not just any cheap go to your local Walmart and get a new key made, NOOOOO it is one of those key-fob keys, the expensive ones. After two months of calling (we live over an hour away), talking to our sales person, his supervisor and trying to talk to the manager, with no luck at coming to a solution that works for me (just make me a new key at your expense!) I am going around and writing reviews. Customer Service used to be a big thing in the South, guess it is no longer something that works at Cookeville Honda. I would not recommend my friends or family to give this dealership their business. I have had more than one poor experience here, and the one I had this week was by far the worst and earned these guys their reputation. After being given a difference price offer on a vehicle I fully intended to buy, I was told an entirely different figure (6k increase) two days later. When I reasonably called the sales manager's bluff, he became ill with me and blatantly lied, telling me he never said that and that the paper on the saleperson's desk where I had written the original figure two days before "wasn't his handwriting", among other things to imply I made it up. I then told him he was being completely dishonest with me and that this purchase from him wasn't for me if he was going to do business this way. It was at that point that he then spouted off with "well would you buy it at the orig figure"? Classic "pretend the original offer was crazy so you'll take it" move, accompanied by the most silly good cop/bad cop theatrics I've ever seen. After texting the salesperson later that I wouldn't do business with them after that inappropriate behavior unless they were willing to negotiate a better deal, all he had to say was "I can't do that"; not even an apology for the vile and aggressive behavior. Extremely disappointed with this unnecessarily backhanded work and even more upset knowing that going to further management would likely fall on deaf ears. Please, take your business to another dealership in town with more integrity. read more
