Tonight i am very disappointed in cookie munchers. Every time i get cookies i pick them up and every single one is hot and gooey. Well, NOT TONIGHT! As always i picked up the cookies in the store and walked my literal 2 minute walk home and the cookies were cold and hard. When i called to let the store know how disappointing the cookies were the girl who answered the phone, said that she can guarantee the cookies left hot because they all get run through a conveyer belt before leaving. She didn't say that the cookies are made fresh or warmed in an oven, but passed through a conveyer belt?!? I once again told her that the cookies were not HOT, let alone warm, when I left the store and her response was "bring them back in and I'll have a see". Seriously?!?! Let you have a see? All shes gonna see is that the cookies are indeed cold and then she's gonna run them back through the conveyer belt. Well why am ! I gonna walk back to your store to have you rewarm some already rewarmed cookies, when I can do that at home myself?!?! This place is awesome! I was across the street at Chickie and Pete's at around 2 am on 2/14/18 and noticed this cookie store was open! I went in and bought a dozen cookies for my daughter's birthday. Inconsistent is the proper word for this place. When it first opened it had a good vibe and especially with the young staff who seemed to care about their jobs. While the cookies weren't the greatest I've had they weren't the worst. As time went on you could tell that the staff seemed off, as though they were stressed or aggravated. I mean majority of the staff there is students. The cookies became inconsistent, the person I would come with could have underbaked and id have a crispy cookie. I've tried to give them the benefit of the doubt over the past year but it's just not improving. There were times I would be there with friends and one of the owners would just be sitting at a table taking up a four seater with his laptop look up say hello and just come off as a little creepy. I feel as though the staff is constantly changing which may or may not be a good thing. Night time isn't the best time to go, you would think with it being a late night cookie joint it'd be great, you'd be wrong. I'm okay with waiting but again, inconsistent. Even when it's a slow night, the girl at the register made it seem like you're taking her time away from watching TV and doodling on boxes. It's been a little bit since I've been back since taking a semester off, but my friends went by today and told me that when they both came in a guy in a work shirt got up from the front said be right with you, went to the back sat back down with his phone and I guess he made one of the workers from the back come and take their order. Lazy much? The pictures of the cookies are misleading as well, I'm friends with a girl who is friends with someone who worked there, the original pictures of their cookies aren't even of THEIR cookies, they took them offline. That misleading fact is enough to deter you from it. They took one of their most popular cookies, the red velvet, and made it a large hot one instead. They really should redo the place, the gray walls are just making the place even more depressing. You can see the staff, again, seems like they have a lot on their minds. Perfect cure for that "I'm craving something sweet" moment. But beware! They are only delicious for that moment. Eat up fast because they become hard and rather bland cookies after about 45-60 mins. I used to love cookie munchers so much when I first came to college but this year so far has been literally terrible. Undercooked cookies, hair in cookies, terrible service. Every time I go in they have no cookies left, I don't get it! Then, they take 30 minutes to make one cookie. Deliveries are even worse, it takes about an hour and a half at most times and I just called tonight to order a delivery and they said it was a two hour wait. Please read, hopefully this actually gets posted. Cookies are good. Thin but good. My qualm is with the experience we had. On my walk on the boulevard to Cookie Munchers with my friends a young boy asked if we wanted to buy his baked goods because he's trying to save up to start his own business. We bought some goodies from him because he was really polite little kid, then crossed the street into the store. The girl that worked there was sitting watching TV, then got up in a huff and took our order. She didn't say anything rude, but you can always tell when someone is annoyed with you, which was confusing because we only bought one cookie, paid, and then had a seat. The problem was, she walked outside of the store for a minute, came back inside, and a few seconds later the young boy selling cookies came in the store too. As soon as he did, she picked up the phone and said "Yeah, I'm calling because you asked me to call if a kid started selling cookies outside our building and he's here again doing it now." Something along those lines. All while the boy stared at her. She hung up the phone and SNAPPED on him. Saying, "You need to LEAVE. How many times have we told you you can't be selling cookies on this street? Huh? How many?? You're interfering with the owner's contract, we have a LEASE." And the kid just stands there staring at her. She keeps going, saying that she's given him money already and she supports his business and she doesn't understand why he won't stop and stay out of their area. And he apologizes and says something we don't hear, and she says again, "Dude, WHY are you still here, just go!!!!" At this point me and my friends were leaving because it was so uncomfortable and honestly we feel guilty we didn't stand up for the kid, it just happened so fast. Hopefully someone sees this review and takes some sort of action because going forward we're not supporting this business and telling everyone else not to. I understand that the kid has probably been told before this instance that he wasn't allowed to sell near their store and the owner was frustrated, but for the blonde girl that worked there to verbally attack him like that in front of other customers was shocking and left a really bad feeling with us. read more

Once I left the store I opened the box just to find basically all chocolate chips and barely any cookie. Once I got a official bite when I got home. All I tasted was chocolate chip.
