Employee stated "oooooh he's back" upon looking at me then walked to the front of the store. So they knew they made the wrong thing. Mistakes happen and I would normally be fine with it. Another employee remade my order (and got it right) . As he was wrapping up my food, he showed the "commenting employee" something to which he made another comment. The food is about average for a deli - nothing to write home about. Two out off three times I ordered an egg sandwich with no cheese they put cheese on it and tried to charge me for it. The prices are much higher than you'd expect. They actually charge more than a dollar for the 99 cent Arizona iced teas which is kind of ridiculous considering the can even says 99 cents. The staff has been pretty rude all three times I've been there too. They get annoyed if you ask questions and I don't think I've seen any of them smile once. read more

I been coming here when Im in Bohemia often enough. Large Industrial business district so its prime location for a deli that offers everything underneath the sun. Its alot like kitchen kaberat but cheaper and my opinion better overall. Service is slow but that might be due to the high volume of people from all across L.I that go here for breakfast and Lunch. You got your Senior citizen talking about the geese shitting on there lawns....then you got your Local 000 ordering 4000 sandwiches. I have tried various things from taco salad, paninis and hamburgers. Everything is solid and filling. After going here for the last year, i realized its not worth it. The Guys behind the hot food are great, any girl behind the counter just gives you an attitude. Was asked to pull up my mask by some girl after pulling it down for 2 seconds to order so the person at the cash register could hear me (yelling through a plastic wall). Best deli I've been to in quite some time. The place was so clean you could eat off the floors. I had a philly cheese steak with hot peppers and gravy. The sandwich was a little dry but I think it was my own fault for ordering a custom sandwich. My buddies had a chicken sandwich that looked unbelievable good for a deli sandwich. I've been here a few times now and overall it's pretty good. Tonight I ordered their Chicken Bacon Melt, which they have had each time I was there. Well, it's sounds great, but it was not. The chicken was dry and the while meal tasted like salt. No flavor, just salt. The bacon was chewy, and I doubt the cheese was real cheese as it had no texture at all. Past items that I have enjoyed are chicken salad sand witch , chicken cutlet sand which, which were both pretty good. Homemade iced tea and lemonade are very good. Mashed potatoes are plain and instant. Crowded around lunch time, dinner time is better. I'll try it again, maybe for breakfast next time. read more

Cooky's has a killer breakfast. I go there almost every morning. Unfortunately if you have a problem with any of your food items, you better keep it to yourself because they don't want to hear it. How terrible to take advantage of your customers. Did not realize you charge for a bag for takeout. How petty can you get? I spent $30 and then to be told that there is a charge for a bag. The state law does not apply to takeout food. Talked to manager and he said that's true but they checked with the state and they can legally charge a dollar if they want. My coworkers have been telling me how good this place is, so today I finally went for lunch and was quite pleased. The selection of hot and cold sandwiches is huge, the service is friendly and fast, and the prices are low. The food itself (At least "The Packer" sandwich I got today) is very flavorful and the sandwich is nice and thick. The "rustic" bread is a nice touch. Every time I go in the place is clean displays are bright. The menu is easy to read and provides a description of their various foods well. Most of the time you are promptly asked if you are being helped and if not order taken quickly. There is one guy in particular that I always seem to have waiting on me who acts like an impatient jerk. You can just see he has no patience when it comes to making a last second decision for simple things like what cheese to have or what special you want to order from the hot foods. Overall I like the place they use good quality meats for the cold cuts, panini's and wraps BUT.... I always feel like these food items are overpriced by $1 to $2 per item. A turkey hero with cheese and two drinks one soda one Gatorade is $13 bucks. I'd prefer and expect to pay that kind of money in the city. There is a timing element here as well. I always stop here and pick up muffins for my client. The service is great they always have at least for people at the counter and there good is fresh. They catered a Christmas lunch for me with this same client and to this day my client talks about that lunch. read more

They have pretty good sandwiches but I always end up getting the western BBQ club. Cajun roast beef, cheese. onion and what I think is their own bbq sauce. I have tried to find it at the grocery store so I can make it at home but I havent found anything close. The place gets packed around noon to one so plan accordingly or order ahead. read more

Can't comment on the food, but I had a nice encounter with the catering people. I ordered food for a funeral lunch and then had to cancel a little while later. This is a great deli. You order, pay and then they have a nice and bright seating area with booths and chairs and tables you can sit on.Pastrami on rye with mustard , a Sunkist and french fries. I wouldn't get the fries they were warm, not soggy but soft. I like my fries well cooked and crispy.The pastrami was great fresh and tasty with no fat or gristle .It does get busy seems to be very popular.They have a great array of sandwiches, panini so, burgers, salads , hot food and lunch specials Mon thru Fri. Went here in the hopes of having a good sandwich to take home and boy am I kicking myself in the arse for not conferring with yelp first. Saying my sandwich was mediocre would be a compliment. I asked for a particular sandwich with mozzarella cheese, I got american. Mind you the ticket they print out at the counter said mozzarella, so it was not the counter-persons fault. Also asked for this to be on a Garlic hero. The bread was not toasted and steaming hot when I got home, a sure sign that it was microwaved. After 3 bites into the sandwich it started to cool off and it felt as if I was biting into an old catchers mitt.
