I was in Glendale and needed to pick up some sweets, this place looked interesting. Parking is a little bit hectic, but once you see all the beautiful pastries you know it's worth it. The store itself is well decorated and looks really clean. I ordered the lemon tart, chocolate eclair, strawberry milkshake, chocolate cake and a puff pastry with vanilla Chantilly cream. All of it was not only delicious so gorgeous I felt bad eating it. If you like lemon the lemon tart is soo good. The kids loved the chocolate eclair and the strawberry milkshake.
Being the sweet lover that I am and my son being a very picky pastry chef, he adores this Cool Bites PĆ¢tisserie. I have passed by this place few times and always wanted to give them a try. I have still yet to explore and discover this bakery that people speak so highly of myself. My son frequents this place pretty often and always raves about almost all of their baked goods and to my surprise, he doesn't compare them with his own baking. Surprisingly true since he is very competitive. He has been to this shop 6 times in total whenever he is in Glendale and will bring home big box of their delicious baked goods and we both share the pastries together. Sharing is always caring! Seriously one bite of each, and you will feel like you are in HEAVEN!! Last night after his work, he stopped by this lovely, beautiful bakery shop and got us 12 pieces of pastries of many different kinds. They have indoor and outdoor seating and the place is super clean. I told him to take few pictures and he did. Prices are a tad expensive, but you get what you pay for. Don't know their parking situation but I am sure you can park your car, bike, somewhere. He says that the staff are super nice, friendly and helpful. I think they really found the perfect name for their establishment!
Came here for the petit gateaus although I came a bit late in the day and the selection was very limited, but thankfully they still had the number one thing I wanted to try: LE PISTACHE! It's beautiful, looks so much like a pistachio nut scaled up like 100x, and has a lovely natural pistachio flavor inside. The center has some sort of salted caramel that made this very enjoyable. The strawberry milkshake did taste like yogurt with a pleasant strawberry flavor and some jelly in the middle. Like all petit gateaus I've had so far, they're quite cream heavy. I liked the earl grey eclair too and the color is gorgeous. I'm not sure if I'm losing my mind but I swear they had a banana petit gateau at some point but now I can't even find a picture of it. Service was friendly, she taped the pastries to the box so they didn't shift, and even left the top off so I could take a picture hehe. People seem to rave about the Saint Honore and I'd like to come back and try it. Free street parking in front!
I enjoyed the stuff here a lot!! I came here on a weekday in the afternoon and there weren't many people here. I parked in the Trader Joe's parking lot so I found parking easily. I got many things to try from here. I will say depending on your taste preference, you will either like or dislike certain things. However you will find something you like if you are more into fruity things or chocolate things. From a fruit standpoint: I enjoyed the Lemon Tart and Strawberry Milkshake From a Chocolate/ Hazelnut/ Pistachio standpoint: I enjoyed the La Noisette, Chocolate Cake, La Pistache, the pistachio tart, and the Ferrero Eclair. I did not like the Hazelnut Balls (did not like the texture) and Carrot Cake (too much icing). 8 pastries are very filling and it costed me around $115. It is expensive but it is the craftsmanship and artistry you pay for in these places. The pastries are so unique and honestly worth the money if you want to try it. I will be coming back for the La Noisette. It was my favorite one!
Came back for a second visit and had to update my review from 5 stars to 3. Everything still looks great, but the flavors just didn't hit the same this time. The matcha cherry didn't really taste like cherry at all, more like some kind of tart, acidic fruit that was hard to place. It ended up being more confusing than enjoyable. The lemon pie was also a bit much. The cream felt really heavy and overly buttery, which kind of took away from any brightness you'd expect. The pistachio tart was okay, but it basically felt like their usual pistachio dessert with a crunch added, nothing too different. Overall, the presentation is definitely there, but the flavors didn't quite follow through. Hoping it was just an off visit because I'd like to see them doing well again.
This place is literally dessert heaven! I am a BIG sweets person and Cool Bites had something to satisfy every craving one could have. Upon entering the establishment, you'll see a dazzling display of desserts of various colors, textures, and flavors. They're all so beautifully and thoughtfully created that I'm sure you'll have a difficult time making a decision. There were three or four pistachio-forward offerings which is great for me but the sales associate said she likes the pistachio tart so I chose that. My boyfriend decided on a carrot cake that was housed in a small plastic box, and I got a Earl Grey and pistachio eclair. They also had baked Brie and squash and goat cheese pastries as well. I wish I had taken pictures of everything but I only got a photo of the eclairs and it's so much more beautiful in person. My pistachio tart had a perfectly flaky crust with a cream inside that melted in your mouth. It was the perfect amount of sweetness that complimented the other flavors and wasn't overwhelming. My boyfriend's carrot cake was perfectly balanced with the just the right amount of cream cheese frosting and sweetness. We were both dying over how good the cake and tart were. I know the eclairs will be just as impressive and satisfying. We took the order to go and our order was carefully placed in a box with the items taped down so they don't move around. There are some table outside so you could also sit and enjoy your desserts there. I look forward to going back to try some of their other desserts. It was the perfect way to end the evening.
I've been wanting to check this place for a while, so I was glad to finally try the desserts. The exterior and interior are beautiful and very welcoming. I loved the French patisserie vibes, and the owner ( I believe) had a smile on her face and was welcoming, which I appreciated. There were so many different dessert options to pick from, and I wanted to try so many, but they are a bit on the pricey side, so it's not something I'd get all the time. I was craving a good chocolate cake, so I got the cake, and my boyfriend loves eclairs so he got the earl grey eclair. The desserts were beautiful but I wasn't wowed by either dessert, unfortunately. They were good but not amazing. Maybe I needed to try a different dessert. I'd be open to trying something different next time.
8/20/2025 Went on a Friday afternoon. No lines. There were plenty of pastries available. I brought all of the pastries home, so it slid around my car and the bag fell to the side, so unfortunately the pastries are a bit smushed. Ćclair Earl Grey Bleu Choux pastry was soft. It would have been better if the pastry creams were filled per order. As shown in the picture, the eclair box moved in the car, so most of the glaze was came off onto the box. Glaze on top is sticky. The glaze does have a floral flavor, but it was sticky and had an odd aftertaste. I think the Ć©clair tasted better because most of the glaze came off. The earl grey filling was good. It had a good flavor inside. But I wouldn't get this again. GĆ¢teau en Tasse Strawberry This is sold as a whole cake too. The strawberry flavor did taste a bit fake. The filling also had a strawberry cream cheesecake flavor. The cake texture was soft and crumbly. Not sure what cake it was, but I didn't love it. It wasn't vanilla cake. The filling was on the sweeter side. Not good at all! Raspberry Petit GĆ¢teau It had a tart raspberry flavor that was refreshing. The outer raspberry shell was unique and loved the raspberry cream inside. Really enjoyed this dessert. Tart Pistachio It had a good buttery tart crust. Filling was smooth and had a natural pistachio flavor. Nothing fake in flavor. There were plenty of pistachio nuts sprinkled on top for crunchy texture. I think pistachio lovers would like this dessert. Customer Service Only one person working at the front. Service was okay. She did answer all my questions on the pastries I've selected. Parking Street parking. It wasn't difficult to find street parking next to the bakery. It's not a busy area.

More and more places offered them in different part of the city and trying to play catch-up here, I kinda ordered my visit-plan based on the reviews I read or watched and how people who've tried some of them assigned the ratings.Ā Having said that, Cool Bites went to my top next-to-visit list after trying Tucha. Even Catherine Zhang (the one behind Tucha) did claim it's good, so that's so intriguing doubtlessly. The store's interior and look did give that exclusive feel, kinda matching the price tags of what they offered. Did some baking myself, I prolly got more and more appreciative with the effort required to serve such jaw-dropping presentation. Furthermore, reading through each of the dessert's descriptions on what ingredients they featured, you could tell there were tons of elements orchestrated together to deliver spoiling taste.Ā My dream certainly would be having a bite of each stuffs on the showcase, but the tummy surely couldn't afford it LOL. For this initial visit I went for the attendant's recommendation based on their favorite item, the Pistachio Tart. Simply said, itĀ literally had pistachio in any form you could name. Pistachio cream, ganache, paste, and even the crunchy bits covering the cake. Not only mind-blowing display, this cake did hit the jackpot on flavor. What a delicious sweet treat to get with a friend. This boutique offers luxury pastries for an affordable price ($6-$15). They are all aesthetically beautiful pastries. When you walk inside it feels as if you're about to buy an art piece at a museum. We were greeted and helped right away. We asked what they recommend and the pistachio tart and Saint HonorƩ were the two to try. The pistachio tart was good, I would give it a 7/10. The star here was the Saint HonorƩ, this is a delicious light and creamy pastry. It was heaven and I would order it again and come back for it. Overall a positive experience and will be coming back to try more of their yummy desserts!
I honestly did not know what to expect the first time I went to Cool Bites. Would it be form over substance? Oh no! That's the full package ladies and gentlemen! Beautiful inside and out!! We have tested quite a few offerings, all tasted excellent. Still we have our fav ones: the chocolate Ć©clair and my personal old time favorite the "Noisette"! The people working there and the patissiĆØre herself are all very kind, welcoming and professional! Even if you are not from the area, take a chance and drive for a try. Enjoy!
For us this was quite a drive... I am glad we went, but maybe I hyped it up too much in my head. Don't get me wrong, the desserts were tasty, but it wasn't mind blowing. We tried a variety of items. And most of the party felt the same as me. Everything was good. For me personally, the cherry matcha wasn't matcha forward enough. I did enjoy the tart cherry inside. And I've never had a cherry matcha before. The Xmas ornament tasted like lemon, even though only peach was mentioned. So that was a bit confusing. All of the textures were perfect. I think everyone's favorite was the vanilla eclair. I wish I could have tried everything.
We've officially found our new favorite place for chocolate cake! We first ordered this cake for my birthday, and my whole family loved it so much that we had to come back and get the same one for my mom's birthday. If you're a chocolate lover, this cake is a dream. It's rich and decadent without being overwhelming, incredibly moist, and has beautiful, prominent layers that make every bite satisfying. The frosting is smooth, creamy, and best of all, not overly sweet (the perfect Asian-approved level of sweetness!). They also added a chocolate "Happy Birthday" plaque for my mom, which was such a thoughtful finishing touch. Everyone at the party was asking where the cake was from. We'll definitely be making this our go-to spot for birthdays and special occasions! read more

Ok these desserts are gorgeous looks wise 100/10 stunning! Im gonna say if you love mousse then these are the desserts for you. They are primarily mousse based and I'll say the mousse texture is perfect. We got 5 different ones and heres my thoughts: La Noissette: yummy hazelnut flavor with chocolate inside 8/10 Strawberry milkshake: 5/10 the flavor was very subtle and surprisingly not that sweet. Mostly mousse with jelly inside Mango tart: 9/10 this one was my favorite. The mango had good flavor. It was sweet but not overwhelming. The tart crust gave it the additional element it needed Rasperry petit gateau: 6/10 also very mild in flavor. Almost sour. Wish it was sweeter. Again mostly mousse Pistachio: 6/10 tasted like pistachio butter. Again all mousse with some pistachios inside and pistachio butter. Good flavor. Would definitely recommend. The desserts are beautiful just wish the mousse based ones had added elements to give them more interest in texture, flavor. Also wish the flavors on the fruit ones were more prominent and a bit sweeter. read more

I'm not too familiar with French pastries but the experience I had here was good. They were subtle and not overly sweet. Expensive though, each pastry was $10. Worth trying at least once. read more

Raspberry pastry- I can't recall the actual name of this one, but it's the top left one in my picture. Absolutely delicious if you like tart things, I would highly recommend this one. It's crunchy and filled with soft raspberry cream. By far my favorite dessert 5/5 Strawberry lemonade- this one is good, but I probably wouldn't order it again. It's sweet with a strawberry interior. 3/5 The pistachio heart was my least favorite. Although I can definitely see how it would be popular. It's just a little bland and lacking in the flavor department. IMO 2/5 Gorgeous presentation of variety of desserts pricing starts around eight dollars, which is fairly standard for this kind of dessert, read more

Finally got the chance to try Cool Bites , and oh my!! Every bite was heavenly. It is dangerously delicious, can't stop eating it. We got the chocolate eclairs, pistachios tart and raspberry tarts, it was all taste amazing. Not too sweet, esthetically pleasing to look. Will definitely be back to try something new. read more

Popped in looking for a cake, left with too many pastries + cake. The store associate (I didn't get her name ) was extremely helpful. She broke down all the pastries and informed us on the top sellers. While on the slightly pricier side, the pastries were delicious. Standout in my opinion was the Pistachio Tart. Will FOR SURE return for another one or ten of them. read more

I looooooove pastries in all shapes and sizes. Especially, French style pastries. They are usually pricey but I love it when places give it justice. I saw this place right after I dined at the restaurant next door. The place is clean and inviting with a straight forward set up, their pastries beautifully displayed right when you walk in. The colors and shapes were so pretty I literally had to stop myself from buying all of them. I had their Ć©clairs and some tarts. The quality and flavor, in my opinion was 10/10. Oh gosh. This is a cute french dessert shop that makes beautiful pastries. Service and ambiance are great. There's street parking only. I tried the cherry matcha, lemon tart, earl grey eclair, and dubai chocolate eclair. I really enjoyed the lemon tart and earl grey eclair, the other two were just okay. I got there in late afternoon on a weekend and they ran out of some of their popular pastries, such as passion fruit and strawberry milkshake. The pastries itself are pretty pricey. I ordered a mirror glazed cake for a birthday and was able to customized the mirror glazed color and picked between 3 flavors (cherry matcha, passionfruit, can't remember the third flavor). I elected for passionfruit. Recommend this place if you're around the area. read more

I was hoping to give them 5 stars because the location is beautiful, service is amazing and I was excited to try them. I was extremely disappointed! I walked out paying $169 for the small pistachio cake and box of 8 pastries. The pastries are not big in size so don't expect to share. There was ZERO crunch when you bite into the pistachio pastry covered in white chocolate. The round pastry was like eating an Everything wheat Bagel with a cream. The $16 Dubai eclair was unusually bitter and extremely dense and dry. The eclair dough was super thin and ratio to filling wasn't appropriate. Aesthetically beautiful but that's literally it! Mostly hype. I'll update my review once I taste the cake too. Update on the cake. It was probably the only thing my guests and I enjoyed because they shared the same opinion as me when I served them the individual pastries in the photos. read more
Super cute desserts that actually taste as good as they look! The lemon tart was my favorite--perfect balance of sweet and sour, and the meringue cookies on top helped mellow out the tartness. The Earl Grey Ć©clair was also really good, with a strong, bold flavor. The hazelnut one (can't remember the name) was basically a fancy version of a Ferrero Rocher. The staff was nice, but definitely get there early. We went in the early afternoon, and half the selection was already gone. Worth checking out! read more

Came here in December to try some of their pastries! I saw some of the items here online and they looked cute. I used the Trader Joe's parking lot and walked over here. I saw that some of their desserts were decorated for the holidays. I got a Le Pere Noel ($8) that was dark chocolate creme, raspberry gel on a choux. This was delicious, probably because usually the middle is just whipped cream but this one was not! I also got a lemon tart which was dressed adorably with what I assume was merengue as well - just the great amount of tart on here. They had an ornament looking dessert that I got, unsure of the name as it was in the rear, but you could crack open the exterior and there was chocolate in the interior (I think this one was actually my favorite). Service was really friendly as they gave me time to pick (it was so hard looking at everything) - and that was me skipping the eclairs lol. I do want to come back to try other pastries but do expect about $8-$12 per pastry. read more

Even though some of the items were really very delicious, somehow the place has too much of a sterile hospital appearance which appears to focus more on perfection than charm. I don't know what it is but it feels very uninviting. Every item of any particular selection is a twin of each other. Which reminds me of my Latin teacher in high school who always emphasized that the true heroes of poetry had always included elements of imperfection. read more

I love coming to Cool Bites Patisserie with my 12-year-old niece! After school, we'll often stop by to enjoy their beautiful, one-of-a-kind desserts. The pastries here are true works of art--both visually stunning and absolutely delicious. They always have a wide selection to choose from, and we're delighted to see new creations each time we visit. Went in on a Sunday morning shortly after opening, there was full stock of all items. I purchased the Pistachio Tart and Saint Honoree. The pastries were good, service was good, but I just can't justify paying $22 for just two items. They were good but if I'm paying that much I expect much more than just good. The night staff is welcoming and sweet. I ordered something with mocha that was wonderful. I also loved the earl grey eclair. I bought it for my sister, who loves that flavor, and she also loved it. I came another time during the day and wasn't a fan. I was talking to my friend about how I'm not impressed with Dubai chocolate as it's just chocolate with pistachio and one of the ladies starts talking over me and correcting me. It was really off-putting, especially when we were actually being helped by another person. read more

Great desserts! The lemon tart was my favorite item that we purchased. We were intrigued to try this place out with hopes to try the strawberry lemonade dessert per my 4 year old's request but sadly at the later half of the day these desserts are the first to go. So we decided to get the matcha cherry which was just okay. The pricing is decent- this would be a special treat outing. Maybe next time we might get lucky to try the strawberry lemonade treat. Service was great, our orders were taken swiftly and impressively. The bags were so cute and professional. The place was clean and had nice elegant touches. read more

This place is the Van Cleef's of delectable and delightful patisseries. All works of art and the flavors dance harmoniously together. Definitely a new spot for me to pop in when I have a sweet tooth craving. Can't wait to try the other flavors. Not overly sweet, you taste each flavor note in every bite. This year I decided to try something different on my birthday. Usually receive a whole cake and can't finish it all because it's a lot. This year I requested for various tiny cutie pieces of cake so I can try different flavors and tastes. Should have done this for a long time ago but sorry I couldn't think through. Clockwise from the top: Eclair Dubai, Raspberry Religieuse, Saint Honore, and Pistachio tart. Everything was wonderfully scrumptious! Well balanced and flavorful but not overly sweet. My wife says they are not overly sweet. They're more like Italian or French pastry for dessert, but they are not cheap.$$$$
How do I order a cake? I don't see a way on the website.
Just call them if you want regular sized cakes. If you want individual cakes, just walk in.
Could I order bite size pastries?
Of course. Just call in advance. Make sure you ask for their menu and you know what you're ordering. It's not cheap.
Is this only a catering company or can you eat here?
Our catering company is a separate business. This is our pastry shop. However, we do have both indoor and outdoor seating if youād like to enjoy your pastries and coffee here.
