My first impression, the gracious lady behind the counter in an apron, was warm, inviting, knows how to start a conversation, asked if family was safe, thanked me for wearing a mask, and was the sweetest person behind a counter, that I've encounter. I was going over to a family's house and needed a bakery to get some sweets to take over and came across this bakery via Yelp search. It's a stand alone little family owned bakery. Walked in and was greeted by this super friendly Armenian owner and she helped me right away to get a box of pre-packed birds milk pastry. They were soooo delicious! The inside is chill and nothing fancy. They also have Barbari and other things you can order and buy. I just loved the lady/owner. Wish I got her name. Friendliest person I've met in a long time. My mom went to this bakery yesterday to purchase some bread and pastries. There was a discrepancy between a price of a same pastry. My mom asked why the other one is more expensive and the worker said because it is just came after the oven and it is hot!?!?!?! So my question is if I come back in an hour can I get that cold and cheaper? Please stop give people some BS like that and work more instead of doing a highway rubbery. This is not acceptable at all. It's been several times that I have popped by to grab a sandwich meal or a baked bread, when I encounter an (unfortunately) unfriendly man or woman. It's many a time that I've had trouble just getting service, and when I have, I've been met with unpleasant or rude attitudes. While the food and baked goods are of decent quality, they are soured by the lack of customer service. I will be visiting another bakery for my afternoon lunch instead. Decided to check out the pastries. Got several types which we ate up in one sitting. Bought what taste like rose flavor candy. Pinkish in color. Delicate, and light fresh baked goods! I was greeted by a very kind gentle guy at the front counter who I believe is part owner. He kindly pointed out the baked goods to the left and to the right of him; some I was already familiar with but the taste was nothing like I've tasted in other bakeries. The walnut and cinnamon baked bread is spectabulous! A lady walked in after me and I started to market some of his baked goods myself! Anywho, the place is clean, and simple. Such a nice little spot. I would make sure to come early since they do run out of desserts (a good problem for them i'm sure). I tried their Macarons ($1 each - I think they were on promotion) - and they were really very good ... especially the chocolate!! I also took a baguette home. I have to say it was super fresh and lasted easily until the next day (whereupon I devoured it with salami and cheese). There's some street parking, but I don't think they have a lot. Also, they do have seating inside (limited) but I'm always on the run so they boxed up my order. I only wish I lived a little closer so I could try different things more often. Wow, just wow! We found this hidden gem trying to get a cup of coffee and boy are we glad that we did. From the minute you walk in you are greeted by the most lovely woman and you can smell the deliciousness she is working on. The pastries are beautiful and delicious. Even the coffee that is in the pot is great. We weren't planning on buying much, but we walked out with delicious Armenian pastries and coffee. I did't know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised at how good the pastries and coffee were among the humble interior/decor. A middle aged man helped us with our coffee and picking out pastries. He wasn't really sure what was in all of them, but we had two berry filled cookies dipped in chocolate and one cherry tart/danish. They were delicious and the drip coffee was excellent! Buyer beware! Went to this neighborhood bakery because I had a sweet tooth. I got one of their pastries called a Napoleon and hurried back home to try it. I had tried napoleons before from other bakeries and enjoy them quite a bit. One bite and I realized how old the cream was because it was hard and overly sweet as if it had been sitting in that case for a week. I threw out the two pastries that I bought and will never go to this bakery again. I was fooled by the positive yelp reviews. Maybe it is good for bread but definitely not good for pastries!I should have save my calories! read more

As i was driving to work i was hungry and looking for something local and fast to grab since i had 20 minutes before i get to work i found Unique Bakery i walked and was welcomed by this lovely lady name Lilit i asked her what she has for breakfast and she made me this super yummy croissant breakfast sandwich that gave me a homemade taste to it because it was my first time trying their stuff she gave me one free baguette that I couldn't stop eating while i was waiting for my sandwich. This was the second time here for me. The first time was interesting in that the owner was in the phone yelling at someone for so long she didn't realize I was there. She finally acknowledges me and sent a young woman to help me. I had a spinach and feta stuffed turnover, bottled water and a delightful cookie all for about 6.00. The cookie is why I came back the second time. This would be a 5 star rating if not for the 3.00 cookie! I was stunned when the gentleman charged me 3.00 for ONE cookie. I guess I'll have to go back to Barolina's in Montrose if I get a craving for another cookie, at least the prices are reasonable. So have walked by this place daily as I drop off my son nearby for school and finally decided to go in. I went in with my son and I have to say what a friendly environment and great people. I decided to grab so different types of pastries as my son was essentially picking anything he could see and as we were boxing up and I was paying he asked if he could get one more. Well they were nice enough to have him pick the cookie he wanted and gave it to him to try.
