Their chiffon cake is amazing! Must try if you like light, fluffy and not too sweet! I believe small is $32, large $39.

Just a cute little place with delicious cakes, baked goods, porcelain decor and a very sweet owner to greet you. If you like fresh pastries that aren't overly sweet then this is a great spot to grab a few things. Definitely going back for the creamy butter bread. Yum!

This is a super adorable mom and pop Korean bakery. When we came here to visit my boyfriend's relatives, we bought a few buns and a green tea chiffon cake. My boyfriend's mom built up a nice rapport with the lady who rang us up, and she gave us an extra bun, which was very sweet of her. I admittedly ate SO MUCH of the green tea chiffon cake even after everyone was satisfied after one slice, probably like close to half of it. It was SO GOOD. It was fluffy, soft, not-too-sweet, and had that distinct green tea flavor to it. Like chiffon fabric, it's light, airy, and lovely. Boyfriend's Korean relatives teased me about it, but his grandparents were happy to see I had a healthy appetite LOL. Hey, at least after the visit, my boyfriend and his parents said I left a good impression on the grandparents, so I guess that's a good thing.

BEST PLACE FOR BINGSU (KOREAN SHAVED ICE 5/5) Their bingu is the BEST! Better than all those mainstream bingu places that pour those trendy condensed milk on top in my opinion. They know how to make it so good here. IT's so big the lid can't completely close cause they fill it to the TOP! You get shaved ice, a bunch of beans, ricecake, fruits (kiwi, banana, strawberry, anr vanilla icecream on top. I drive just to get the bingsu. I have fond memories for their bingsu. I grew up coming to this Bakery House and they don't disappoint! The owner is really nice and would make conversation with my mom. She's very friendly when I come and tries to help me pick out bread. We have picked out the Korean cake for birthday celebration many times. We usually come for the bread. Corn bread is my favorite.

Walked by and was excited to see they were open! Hello Bakery House! The smell of fresh baked bread danced in the air. The various selection of sweet baked goods was amazing! The Owner was lovely and helpful. I opted for a few pieces but am promising to come back soon for more! The owner was kind and patient, informing me of the options for the shaved ice. It's a hot day, I ordered one to go. I couldn't resist, I cracked into it when we got to the car. The flavors complimenting each and every aspect of my dessert. From the tasty red bean paste to the vanilla ice cream. The small touches were appreciated form the sliced bananas, condensed milk, and grapes! Crunchy soft ice, ooooooohhh heavenly billows of cold crunchy ice. You know what won me over? As if I hadn't already hit the Jack pot! The rice drink, Sikhye!!! Yes you read that correctly, they make Sikhye in house!!! Ahhhh, well for now this will do. I shall come again soon, and buy some of that cloud soft looking Milk Bread. Don't walk, run down to Bakery House!

One of my favorite korean bakery shop in our neighborhood. Just for your information, every summer, they have korean style red bean shaved ice which is sooooo cool and tasty. Me and my kids eat this every summer in a hot day, must try it! Big portion only $13, enough for three people to share.

We were gifted a dozen specialty pastries, tried the cream filled croissant, very delicious.

This is my go to place for a nice Korean pastry and ice coffee, while I wait for my car to be washed. The owner is super sweet, and the bread/pasties here are fresh. The ice coffee esp is bomb! Perfect blend of sweetness and brew. A+

Chocolate chiffon cake $32
Jennifer H.

I just picked up a cake from here earlier this morning for a coworker's bday. Paid $32 for an 8" chocolate chiffon cake. Which isn't bad. I was in a hurry so I didn't pay too much attention to what the cake looked like (decor)...... opened it during lunch to find that there was a cherry tomato????? on top of the cake LOL not sure if it was some kinda joke or if they normally decorate their cakes with tomatoes..... other than that, it was a good cake.

Yo lemme get a muffin... a chocolate brick aaaaannndd, this piece of pan bimbo right here with butter.

Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café…read more Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & CafĆ© reminded me that we live for the wonderful experiences that remain to be discovered. After a wonderful lunch date with my wife at Raffi's Place (please read my review and thank me later) in Glendale, I decided to look for the perfect dessert. After scouting several nearby locations, I decided I was in the mood for a great cinnamon roll. Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & CafĆ© looked like the place that would deliver the experience I was seeking. SDLBC is listed as being in Glendale, but it's located in the historic Old Town of Montrose. That's beside the point; I only mention it because there are additional places to explore just up the street. We arrived around 3:00 p.m. on a Saturday, and there wasn't much of a selection left, including the highly sought-after cinnamon roll. The gentleman behind the counter greeted us warmly, and I immediately asked if that was all the pastries they had. He said yes. I contemplated leaving because of the nonexistent cinnamon roll, but I didn't want to be rude, so I decided to give the bakery a try since we were already there. So, we basically took half of what remained behind the glass display case: a Peach Almond Croissant, a Raspberry Pistachio Croissant, an Almond Croissant, and then my curiosity focused on a few lonely-looking pastries that were unfamiliar to my discerning eyes. I asked the gentleman what they were, and he replied with something that sounded completely foreign to me: Kouign-Amann. Kouign-Amann (pronounced queen ah-MAHN) is a traditional pastry from the region of Brittany, France. It is often considered one of the richest pastries in the world because it is made with just a few simple ingredients in generous proportions: bread dough, butter, and sugar. Figuring we needed a few more sweets for the road, we took all the remaining Kouign-Amanns. Two were the traditional version, and the other two were filled with crĆØme and blueberry jam. We also ordered a CafĆ© Americano and a CafĆ© Mocha. While we waited for our drinks, I simply couldn't wait any longer. Like a kid on Christmas morning, I eagerly opened my gift and dug right into the Kouign-Amann. Hesitantly, I tore off a tiny piece with my fingers, expecting nothing extraordinary, and instantly gave birth to a brand-new experience that exploded in my mouth. The crisp exterior gave way to the soft, flaky center, followed by waves of what tasted like delicate honey. I tore off another piece and shared it with my wife. One look at her eyes told me she wanted more. By the time our drinks were ready, we had devoured one of the Kouign-Amanns and confessed to the gentleman behind the counter that we had just experienced pure ecstasy in the form of a pastry. Kouign-Amann is, in fact, one of the richest pastries in the world, so don't let the unfamiliar name keep you from trying one. The CafĆ© Americano and the CafĆ© Mocha were also exceptionally well prepared. With everything that's happening in the world these days, a simple yet profound experience like this reminded me how wonderful life can still be. Like Arnold said... "I'll be back." Enjoy!

I love the indoor seating, but they also have outdoor seating. I washed it down with a short Americano, two shots and I threw in some extra cream. It's delicious. The coffee has a nice mild flavor, but nothing beats the sweets. I have to tell you this chocolate mousse cake is the right portion otherwise I would eat the whole thing in this case the powers that be more wise and gave me a slice and Man was it delicious.

Thank you for your response. I appreciate that you took the time to reply, but I believe your…read moreresponse misses the main issue. Good business etiquette is simple: when a business makes a mistake, it should acknowledge it, correct it immediately, sincerely apologize to the customer, and ensure the customer leaves satisfied. That builds trust and demonstrates accountability. Instead, much of your response focuses on explaining that the price tag may have been moved accidentally by staff or customers. Those are explanations, not accountability. This was one of the last two pieces left in the display, and the incorrect price tag should have been noticed well before my purchase. As I also stated in my response to the Agricultural Commissioner of Weights & Measures Inspector, I am almost certain that after I shared my experience and reviews on social media, the pricing discrepancies would have been already corrected. If that is the case, I genuinely hope those changes help make sure future customers are charged accurately and fairly. Regarding the Kyiv cake, my concern is relatively minimal compared to the pricing issue. It simply did not taste as good as it used to. It lacked the freshness and flavor we had previously enjoyed, and it tasted somewhat stale. This is the least of my concern. What concerns me most is the lack of accountability. Businesses earn customer loyalty by owning their mistakes, not by offering explanations for why they may have happened. A sincere apology, immediate correction and a commitment to making things right would have been a much more appropriate response.

Always a pleasant experience at these bakeries. This Glendale bakery cafƩ was clean, bright, and beautifully organized with a large variety of pastries, cakes, and drinks on display. I tried the Strawberry Soft Cream Cake, Berries cake, Curry Croquette, and their signature iced Korean lattes. The pastries were soft and flavorful without being overly sweet, and the cakes looked just as good as they tasted. The curry croquette wasn't a favorite of mine. It was my first time trying and the spices didn't amaze my palette. I will have to try their garlic bread next time if I feel like getting something savory. Their sweets are always a hit for me! Overall, the staff was friendly and greeted customers warmly as they come in. Small parking lot at this location but still worth the wait. Good visit!

I returned to the store to request an exchange, but I was told that it is the customer's responsibility to check the expiration date. The staff pointed to a "Beyond Use Date" on the bottom of the packaging labeled July 20th. It is also the store's responsibility to not sell expired item. I went through the bread that were on the shelf with the worker and most of them had expiration date for the same day. If the bread is freshly baked each morning as they claim, it is unclear how it could expire on the same day it was made. I bought bread from Paris Baguette for many years, I have never experienced bread molding within one to two days. While the issue with the product itself is frustrating, I am most disappointed by how the situation was handled by the team. Also, I suggest putting the expiration date where it's visible so that customers can responsibly purchase bread.

I ended up grabbing some nazook, medium lahmajun, and also decided to give the beef khachapuri kabob a try as I haven't seen that offered at other spots I've tried. Service was quick and on point and the lahmajun did take about 10-15 minutes as they make them fresh. They have a pretty expansive patio where you can enjoy your goodies and hang out. Parking can be a bit of a challenge as it is mostly street parking, but I managed to snag a spot a few blocks away. As for the food, the nazook is amazing and better than a few other bakeries I've tried in Glendale. The lahmajun was also amazing and very flavorful with a good amount of meat. And lastly, the beef khachapuri kabob was amazing! It had that nice smoky charcoal flavor in the meat and worked well with the surrounding pastry. Definitely will be back again and bringing friends to this Glendale gem!

I'm always on the hunt for a Piroshki, one of my favorite delights that I think originated in…read moreRussia and is East European by origin. I think Papillon is Armenian which I believe has European cuisine, as Armenia is considered geographically to be within Western Asia (the Middle East) and the South Caucasus region. Sitting within the mountainous Armenian Highland, it acts as a transcontinental bridge between Eastern Europe and Asia. Their Piroshki is long and thin, whereas I'm accustomed to them being robust short stocky and round almost resembling a giant baked potato in size and shape. So these look like a "Chinese Donut" a.k.a. Youtiao (ę²¹ę”) in size and shape, same girth but length maybe 6"-8" long. What I liked is the filling of the Beef was minced ground beef with sauteed onion bits mixed into a blend and seasoned with a bit of spice but overall was very moist and juicy and the fried dough was very good. So, I'd recommend that. Oddly, I tried the Beef and Potato reluctantly thinking the pure beef option was going to be better... and the Potato was soft and perfect so I'm thinking they're equally good depending on your mood. I tried the beef empanada, and it was very good, similar flavor of the beef empanada to the piroshki but not exactly the same, otherwise I might say the empanada is bigger and gives more protein of the ground beef. The desert shaped like a peach fruit was very good. It reminded me of Asian style deserts where they're not overly sweet and has a healthy refreshing taste more so than being too overwhelming with thick sugary creams. I found out they have multiple locations. It feels maybe the Armenian and Russian community in So Cal are more toward this area and The Valley, so I do have to take what could be a 60-90 minute journey to come here, and even longer of a commute to their other locations. I think they'd do well in the SBBC (South Bay Beach Cities) down South past Santa Monica but before Long Beach and Orange County. I'd recommend this place for the food and service.
