I was told I was on the delivery list, but since there were a number of emergencies, my propane delivery was delayed. Everyone I spoke with at the Middletown office was so nice and reassuring that I wouldn't run out of propane, and told me how many days of propane I had left in our 500 gallon tank. Many of the "regulars" that I have seen before popped up in my feed including a few that I had called before, but they had failed to show for appointment or simply never bothered to return my original phone inquiries in the past. Then I came across a name that I didn't recognize through only ONE recommendation. I didn't trust the Good Ole Boys club (through recommendations) that I had previously tried to work with, unsuccessfully, in the past, so someone "new" was exactly who I was interested in. I called Zach Ernst, of ERNST MECHANICAL SERVICES, LLC (licensed in MD & DE) immediately...AND I reached him! Our communication was thorough and quick! I explained my concerns, budget and availability. Zach came out the NEXT day (Tuesday 05/02) and identified the burned up wires within my unit and another switch (Relay?) that needed replacement. He presented his suggested proposal of repairs along with a reasonable cost for the work and we agreed to proceed. The very next day (Wednesday 05/03) Zach texted me that the parts had arrived and he could install them on...wait for it...Thursday 05/04! BOOM ! So, moral of the story is: I reached out on a MONDAY...Zach arrived on TUESDAY...Parts were ordered that night and arrived on WEDNESDAY...Repairs were done on THURSDAY. Badda-Boom-Badda-Bing! No reason to NOT call this wonderful professional.

They came out to do a routine service call on a system that they installed 5 years ago. They told me that I needed parts and that my system was no longer under warranty. I was concerned that the system did not send me a notification of the needed repair and I thought my system had a 10 year warranty! It was a very expensive system. Aaron asked me to pay upfront for the part and for two service calls. I did because I trusted them. They didn't come back as promised to make the repair. I called Carrier and was told that I should not have had to pay for the part because it was under warranty and they also noted that they did not get a notification of the failure either as they and I should have. When Aaron finally returned to install the part, he apologized up and down for letting me down. He said that as soon as Carrier reimbursed him for the part he would return my money. He told me a week later that the check had come and he would return the money as soon as it cleared. Well now he doesn't return my texts and his voicemail is always full! It has been several months and I haven't seen my money. I was the first person to review this company when they opened. I believed in them. Now I tell people to find someone else. These guys don't seem to be the honest people that they once were!

Expecting either a long wait for service or the bad news of having to replace our air conditioner, we were delighted to have Brandon stop over within 30 minutes of our call, diagnose and replace a failed capacitor, and head on his way within 15 minutes. There was no sticker shock-- his price and honesty will have us returning to him for regular service and telling our friends about him. In fact, he will be heading over later to give a "second opinion" to a friend who has just bought her first home and who has been told she needs a new air conditioner for $8,000. Even paying for a Choptank service call should be money well spent.
