My family does not recommend Blades HVAC. We have a geothermal system that had a slow leak at the…read morecirculation pump. On the pump housing, Blades put a service sticker with their phone number, approximately three inches from where the leak was happening. I thought great, I will call them and they will take care of it. When the service technician came out, he took a look at where the leak was and said that they do not service geothermal loop pumps, and charged me $125 to come say that; he was not even here ten minutes. I told him that I felt that I was being ripped off because I had described where the leak was, and they still sent someone to tell me they don't work on that part. The tech said I could take that up with the office. I called the office to describe that I would leave a critical review because of my experiences with them, and give them a chance to make it right. The guy in the office literally laughed at me and said something to the effect that just because a sticker was on the part doesn't mean they service that exact part. Their four-hour service windows without updates make it difficult to plan when they may be able to come out. Had to reschedule a prior service call because the technician did not come out until about 12:15 when they had given me a window from 8-12. I do not recommend using Blades HVAC. Always professional, always on time, always quality work…read more After we signed on with them for an annual service contract, they finally fixed a mini-split that was improperly installed by the builder and never functioned correctly. A few other contractors looked at it before we hired Alltemp, but it was never fixed properly and had to be recharged every few years. I explained the problem to the Alltemp Tech who spent the time to go into the attic with his equipment, located and sealed a few tiny refrigerant leaks, and the unit has been operating perfectly ever since. Alltemp also recently replaced a dehumidifier in our crawlspace and a capacitor on the main HVAC unit. Price was good, they were in and out, clean and professional. They even went beyond what was required by making sure the sump pump was operating properly in the crawlspace. I just had some other service done. Unfortunately the tech damaged some HVAC grates and sheetrock inside the house during the process. When I informed the company, they showed up the very next day to inspect the damage. Without me even asking they offered to order and install replacement grates and repair the damaged sheetrock. Alltemp is a professional and honest company in our experience.
