I had 7 very old screens that needed to be replaced. Brian came to have a look. He was very honest, professional and price efficient! I replaced all the screens and frames and they did a fantastic job! If you're looking for a reliable, price efficient and honest screen company, call them!

After several appointments with other companies, Window Factory sales guy James stood out as the most genuine and straightforward, without aggressively pushing unnecessary services. I really appreciated his honest recommendations and transparent communication. Since we had quite a few windows and a door to install, we asked for a discount and they were reasonable and accommodating. Overall, it was a very good experience working with this team.

I very much regret choosing The Window Factory for my relatively-simple window changeout…read more The Window Factory (TWF) finally completed work for a 12-week contract signed Jan 17 on Oct 29 -- 40+ weeks, 34 of which were due to TWF's mistakes that they "take full responsibility for". Eyal's false claim in his response to this review that "we fixed it" is based on TWF's claim that the discount provided at the time of contract signing to induce me to sign means they can take any amount of time to complete the job. Therefore, completing the 12-week job after 40 weeks while providing zero compensation for the delay is "fixing it". Presumably TWF believes they are entitled to take any amount of time to complete your work if they give you a discount as well, even if they "take full responsibility" for the delay. Communication with TWF was abysmal, including (but very much not limited to) 4 ignored emails and 2 ignored phone calls leading up to my original review. Eyal finally responded only after I posted my review and offered me $250 if I would remove that review, though TWF offered nothing in compensation for being 34 weeks late if I would not remove the review. I suspect that may be a good indication of TWF's priorities. James (sales person) was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful, and that demeanor in the sales meeting was a substantial deciding factor in choosing TWF over a competitor with an offer very similar to the discounted offer I was provided by TWF. He continued being helpful up until recently, addressing communications and operations roadblocks surely outside the main responsibilities of a sales role. Unfortunately, James does not manufacture nor install the windows (of course), and I found those aspects of TWF to be unacceptable. Remember that your full experience with TWF will not be solely with James.

I was initially hesitant to hire Community Glass for the installation of three sliding glass doors,…read moreand unfortunately, I wish I had trusted my instincts. One reason we chose Community Glass was because they had done a significant amount of work for other members of our family over the years and had always been highly recommended. However, to my knowledge, none of those projects involved sliding glass doors. From the beginning, there was confusion about the installation method. Dan, the owner, strongly recommended a block-frame installation while every other company we consulted recommended retrofit. My concern was appearance. Dan assured us there would be an interior gap that we would need to cover afterward, but that the exterior would be flush and look clean. Unfortunately, we received conflicting information from the office, which repeatedly told us there would be no interior or exterior gap. After several conversations, it was finally clarified that there would indeed be an interior gap, which would be our responsibility and expense to cover. I was ready to cancel at that point, but Dan personally called and assured us this was the best installation method and that we would be extremely happy with the final result. To be fair, Community Glass did help us by getting us onto their installation schedule quickly while we were working through a tight construction timeline. Unfortunately, the installation experience and final product were the opposite of what had been promised. On installation day, the installer, Curtis, arrived and immediately came across as rude and dismissive. After one door had been removed and the new one set in place, I noticed a large exterior gap, which was the exact issue I had repeatedly expressed concern about before signing the contract. When I asked about it, Curtis told me to "calm down" and suggested he could leave, despite already having one of the three doors removed. The finished work was shocking. There were gaps approaching an inch in some areas that were simply filled with caulk. In other places we could see straight through to the outside. The siding work looked rushed, caulk was smeared throughout, and no insulation had been installed around the doors. We ultimately had to spend our own time and money addressing issues that should have been handled during installation. To make matters worse, Curtis finished the job and left without saying a word. There was no walkthrough, no explanation of the work performed, and no opportunity to discuss concerns. When we complained, another technician was sent out. Rather than resolving everything, additional issues were created. Screw cover plugs were damaged, the white door handles became scratched and marred, the siding still does not stay in place properly, and one of the sliding glass doors still sags and does not close correctly. The attitude we encountered when raising concerns was equally disappointing. Curtis told us that because we had chosen "cheaper doors," the problems were essentially our fault, despite never being offered multiple door options. He also commented that he was not "trying to make a mortgage payment off of us," which was highly unprofessional. When Dan later inspected the work, he told me I needed to "take a breath before I have a heart attack" rather than acknowledging the seriousness of our concerns. Given the condition of the installation, this felt dismissive and disrespectful. The most frustrating part is that many of these issues stemmed from the exact concerns I raised before signing the contract. I was repeatedly assured the finished product would look great. Instead, we ended up with visible gaps, excessive caulking, poor finish work, scratched hardware, a malfunctioning sliding glass door, additional repair expenses, and a result that looks like a DIY project gone wrong. I rarely leave negative reviews and genuinely wanted this project to be a success. While I appreciate that Community Glass accommodated our schedule, that positive aspect was ultimately overshadowed by poor communication, unprofessional behavior, substandard workmanship, and a final result that fell far short of what was promised. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Community Glass for sliding glass door installation.

He said he would be available almost immediately to do the job. He indicated the job could be completed in one day with him and his son working together. He seemed quite competent and personable and knowledgeable. However, he never sent the bid and when I called him he promised to be sending that info the next day because he had already written it. It never came. Then his phone message box was full and I left four messages and he never returned the call. I texted him three times. No response. I checked the Internet and found the very negative review being the only review of his company. I do not recommend that you use this man. Apparently other people have gotten back to the initial business which referred him to me with complaints similar to mine. I guess I was lucky to have not had the work (which theoretically included two additional houses I was referring to him) done by him. I am out three or four weeks of wait time but no money.

One window was not properly fitted or sealed so that during the recent rain storm, it was raining inside the house through the cracks around our brand new sashes. Bobby told us the frames were salvageable so he repaired and told us they were paint ready. When the painter started, the frame caved in from rot. But he has younger less experienced workers who operate mostly unsupervised. Matt is knowledgeable and a hard worker but tends to cut corners a little. He left several windows dirty on installation with hand prints all over and put screens on the windows without wiping dirt off the window that got on it from laying it down in the dirt prior to installation. I also noticed when the foam sealant was getting low that he kept trying to use every last bit which in turn led to some poor foam coverage compared to what was given to other windows. I can feel for him because he seems to do the bulk of the work by himself. But if I'm paying over $17,000 for some windows to be installed, I expect a certain level of care and respect for the job. The other guy was ok, but not the best attitude. They left my gate open on day 1 and the dog got out and had to be found a few blocks away. It was a 100 degrees out so that was not fun. They then left the gate open several more times. On day 2 and around the 5th of 6th time of me having to say please keep the gate closed, I let him know hey this is getting frustrating. And his reply with attitude was "I coming right back " It would've been nice for Ruben to show face on day 2. There was one window he had to remove molding to install. He said he would nail it back in. I said no problem. Just do your best. He left that. I don't believe the others carry the same license or experience he does. And he isn't there to oversee their work so it's not much different than hiring 2 randos. Home Depot offers a pretty strong warranty. So I've taken my notes and tried to provide them the opportunity to address my concerns, but I'll run it up the flagpole with Home Depot and see how they respond. Home Depot has been slow to respond. The company sends out youngsters to complete the job. These guys are rude and unprofessional and get agitated when you have issues with their installs.
