I had a tune up there cost me nearly $600 didn't change 1 coil!!! Months after I had them replace my water pump which cost me just under $500 they failed to put my timing belt on correctly and since I knew nothing about cars, they allowed me to leave their shop with a crazy ticking noise as if I had a Diesel engine and I made sure to bring it to their attention that's not a sound I ever heard prior to bring it in. They insisted that I take it to who did my oil change?!!! Days go by I'm on my way home from work and boom! Long story short I ended up having to get a new engine because they failed to pay attention to detail. Cost me $3,000.00!!!!! Joe (the mechanic) insisted he would never let me leave with an unsafe vehicle because he knew I had children. Thanks for nothing.

Earlier this week, my vehicle was struck by a delivery van and declared a total loss by the insurance company. The initial valuation was low but I put a lot of work into my car this past year. I didn't keep any of my receipts but fortunately Lou does! He was able to make copies of all receipt documentation for the work that he did on my car so that I could show the insurance company. Awesome customer service!

He replaced the tires & I left quickly because I have to go to Hospital. When I got back home & look at the tires . They were not Hancock . He used Blackhawk agility which are the less then 1/2price of the Hancock. Now I can do nothing because the quote he gave me was verbal not the writing.

I went to the place for years 'till they came up to a problem - their contract with Citgo required that they pump a lot of gas and the price Citgo charged was not competitive. They sold out to a very nice Indian fellow from Northern NJ who owned 2 other big gas stations up by the GW Bridge. He happily pumps a whole lot of gas now at very good prices. Peter, the owner of the Citgo station opened Petra's Auto Service on Oxford ave just north of 5 points where he does some repair work with his son, Serge and sells used tires for very decent prices. Walter set off on his own, and now at his second location on Torresdale. Walter provides full service for all sorts of cars from Volvo's to BMW's to Ford's, Honda's and loads in between with his son, Adam helping to run the place. I have even seen him change the engine on a Porsche 911 and do work on various S and E class Mercedes! Walter and Adam can do most anything from inspection and emissions tests, to tune ups, to fixing strange problems, to replacing engines and transmissions. They run a word of mouth operation where they know everyone new folks come in by recommendation. If you live anywhere close by and need a great place to bring your car stop on by - they are not too great on answering the phone and they call back eventually - they have not grown enough for an advisor or someone to get the phone yet. It's best to drive over and talk to Walter or Adam in person. They don't get rolling for a while in the mornings but they work late often to 8 or later. I can't say enough about Walter who seems able to fix many problems for much less then a dealer while doing great work. How some guy from Ukraine got to work on all sorts of sophisticated German and Swedish cars and perhaps the occasional ZIL to learn his trade rather then the Ladas, Moskvich's and Volgas that most guys in the USSR wrenched on is a mystery he does not speak about, but comrade Walter with his son manages to run a mechanical shop and a body shop with some skill and aplomb. I strongly recommend them! By the way V&V? Walter is pronounced Valter in Russian and Adam's Russian name begins with a V too...or so I was told :)

By the way the key fob still doesn't work the check engine light is still on as well as other indicators that they caused. I had a 2013 with 159000 miles on it I had a mechanic tell me the truck was in good condition. After taking it to Charlie's I had to pay it off and get rid of it they messed my truck up and kept acting like they were fixing it but in reality they were causing more issues this is a horrible auto shop and if you want stress and headaches along with empty promises lies and unskilled mechanics breaking things that were not broken and unable to fix the issues this is the best place for you!!! oh I almost forgot and charging fees for their disgusting horrible service!

The owner of Ridge made an immediate good impression with me when he offered to pay for my car's release from an uncooperative auto shop where the car was being held (Craig's Auto). The shop owner was extremely friendly and dealt with me personally in every step of the process. He developed an estimate for me using after market parts in order to save money. It was entirely my choice as to whether to use after market or OEM parts. The owner provided me with an extremely reasonable estimate and offered me a 10 percent senior discount. I am a 27 year old graduate student. He offered me 10 percent off because he knew I didn't have a lot of money and he wanted to help with the costs. I was even more surprised when I went to meet him and he showed me my car. As a part of their free estimate, they completely dismantled the car in order to provide me with an accurate estimate. The estimate for the repairs was itemized, detailed, and more importantly precise. He charged me exactly what he had estimated for before the repairs began. Moreover, he never once tried to get me to spend more money on parts or repairs I didn't need. The work was done quickly and skillfully and the car looks and runs the same, if not better, than before. Ridge is honestly one of the best auto services I have ever dealt with. It is a relatively small family owed business, but that doesn't take away from the quality of their service. The people are friendly, they perform quality work in a timely manner, the work is guaranteed, and more important than anything else, they are honest. They seem to do their best to keep you informed, answer your questions, and work with you when you are busy or finances are tough. Ridge comes highly recommended.

Her radiator busted and Tony replaced it with a new one. They also checked all the hoses and belts for her. Price was acceptable although I felt it was higher than it should have been considering it is only an hour of labor plus parts and a gallon of antifreeze. Guess I am just to lower prices here in the south. Still I give them 5 stars and I will send her back to them for repairs when needed. I have tried to teach her some auto maintenance repairs and I have confidence she can do small things without a problem. If you are in their area and need work done stop by and see them.
