Sunday brunch is my favorite. Also, their house wine. I went to my first Cooper in Columbus and glad they have chain in Dayton.

Went with my fiancé for a date night! We had reservations for 5 and were sat almost immediately. I got the potstickers which were fabulous. Our server was great! We tried the sweet red & chocolate almond wine which were amazing! Will definitely be coming back, 100% recommend this location. read more

I visited the restaurant on December 14. We had reservations for 5. I came a few minutes early and was told to stand in a certain place and they would come and seat me. I waited quite a bit more than a few minutes. Finally, the pleasant hostess asked if I would like to be seated. I said that I would considering I am 81 years old and was carrying two large gift packages and my purse. A man took me to a crescent shaped booth that was definitely too small for five people. I told him so, but he said it would easily sit five people. I told him this was my first visit, and I certainly was not impressed. I apologized because I thought my tone was a bit harsh even though what I said was certainly the truth. I waited for my friends and wondered why they were late. Well, they had come in after me and was told by another hostess to go stand by the wine wall. They waited and waited, and one friend came into the seating area and found me. The hostess who dealt with them was quite unfriendly and, I suppose, would have kept them waiting even longer. Later we saw her frowning at other people. Nice way to greet guests. In the meantime, my server asked me if she could get a drink for me. I ordered tea and told her I would order something else when my friends arrived, not knowing they were being detained out "by the wall". My server could not have been nicer and more friendly. She was and continued to be wonderful. When my friends cam and told me that one person was sick and could not come, we managed to squeeze in to the cramped area by putting things behind us and risking them dropping on the guests at the next table. We also filled most of the area under the table. I will say that the food we received was wonderful. I have only compliments for the food and the server. Again, the problem was the table and the attitude of the man who sat us and one of the hostesses. With just four instead of the five we thought were coming, we were very cramped and when food started coming there was barely enough room for the food, drinks and plates. It was difficult not to have your sleeve in food or to avoid knocking over drinks. Incidentally, there was many empty tables that would have accommodated us much better. I will never go back to this location. They have no regard for the comfort of the guests. The food is good, but many restaurants have good food as well as comfortable tables and friendly hosts. read more

We have been wine club members for close to 2 years, but normally visit the Liberty Center location of Cooper's Hawk. We did finally visit this location in Centerville and had good service for dinner, but really struggled to find a space for a tasting (pre-COVID). Not sure if the bar is smaller here or if it was just an odd time - we tried before dinner ~5:30PM and after dinner ~7:30PM on a Friday and waited for a while after dinner for a spot. Always a risk! Recently I have stopped in only to pick up bottles and have had no issues and been helped immediately. Hopefully they can start doing reserved tastings soon at this location! read more

Good food and good service. Although, they're starting to go cheap. They've taken away complimentary items. For a good time, my girlfriend and I have been going to Cooper's Hawk for our Anniversary and the waiter would congratulate upon greeting my girlfriend and I at the table. They stopped providing that extra customer service and they used to give two complimentary glasses of champagne if you were there to celebrate, they stopped doing that as well. Great for a special night out! Definitely recommend making a reservation, especially if you are a bigger group or going on a weekend. Pretty busy between the tasting bar and restaurant. Despite that, staff was super friendly & service was timely. Our waitress gave us great recommendations, and the manager was checking on tables as well. Cooper's use to be one of my favorite places to go for a sure good meal in Indy. While the food is still good, the service and cleanliness of the restaurant has gone down effecting the ambiance of the place. Definitely still go here for good food and wine, but not for ambiance if you're sitting inside. read more

Really good. The food here is excellent and overall it's a very fun experience considering the wine tasting and the wide variety of options. The only complaint I have is that it took a long time, expect around 2-3 hours when you come here. Having said that, it's totally worth it. The food is amazing. I recommend the lettuce wraps appetizer and the chocolate cake. An excellent restaurant. read more

Excellent all around! We are very pleased to say we had a wonderful experience dining at Coopers Hawk for our anniversary. The complimentary pretzel bread was brought to us right away, and it was perfect. We started off with the drunken shrimp, which was delicious and something I've never had before. I ordered the red wine short braised ribs which was absolutely incredible. It came with vegetables, mashed potatoes, and onion strings which were the perfect addition to this meal. My husband got the prime grilled steak with chimchurri and he finished his plate! We also had excellent service, which is hard to come across these days. We are looking forward to coming back for a wine tasting and more delicious food! read more

Made a huge mistake sitting at the bar (actual bar)... thought it would be faster waited waited waited to order a wine... bartender was condensending, ignored me, and only served one half of the bar. Amazing! My new favorite restaurant! I've been here three times & tried several appetizers, entrees & dessert. I'm not a wine drinker so my review is based on the food & service, not the wine. My favorite appetizer is the thai lettuce wraps. The lettuce leaves they provide are on the small side, however the sauces they provide and the flavors are all so good. They have the best macaroni & cheese i've ever eaten in my life!! The crispy maui shrimp is also very delicious. Comes with a citrus cilantro rice that is so fluffy and fresh tasting. I will say i've had better truffles though. The chocolate itself is good, though the center of the truffle is a bit dry for me. Overall I love this place!!! read more

First time visit with wife and another couple. The best: Bloody Marry and shrimp appetizer The average: Pricing and service. No smile or thank you from waitress. She also didn't ask us how we liked our food or offer more drink. The worst: Fillet mignon steak. It was tough and chewy so I'd avoid it. I also ordered the steak medium and it came out rare. It was bloody all over the plate. I imagine it could have been corrected if the waitress was doing her job. In the end, my wife and I Spent a $100.00 plus bucks. We won't go back. Also I should add this restaurant's clientele looked younger, 20's to 40, so I maybe I'm just more picky or else they don't want the older clients. read more

Cooper's Hawk was amazing! I booked this restaurant for my mothers birthday and she had a blast. They have wine tasting for $10 and you get six tastings. The wine varies from almond, chocolate, cherries, sweet, red, white, and more. No reservation is needed for the wine tasting. It's first come, first serve. The staff is friendly and helpful. The dining experience was good as well. The decor, lights and music was a whole vibe!! I would definitely recommend. I'm glad we have this establishment in the city. read more

This was our first time here or at any Cooper's Hawk. The service and ambience were both excellent and what would be expected of a restaurant of this nature. As for the food: The complimentary pretzel bread was delicious and had some nice things to say about us as well. 4.5/5 The brussel sprout appetizer was delicious. 5/5 The pot stickers were delicious, as was the dipping sauce. 5/5 The Italian sausage flatbread was above average, even though the crust, in my opinion, was overcooked. (Also, in my opinion, Marion's Piazza does a much better thin crust sausage pizza.) 3.5/5 The shaved spare rib grilled cheese and tomato soup meal was very good. My wife liked this more than I did. Her rating = 5/5; my overall rating = 4/5 -- the french fries were unremarkable; the sandwich was excellent; and the soup in my opinion was fairly average (3.5/5). Deviled egg appetizer. To me these were really kitchen sink deviled eggs -- deviled eggs w/ green olives, candied bacon, banana peppers, avocado, some sort of sweet roasted red peppers, and more, with a side of some sort of cheesy bread for smearing the deviled eggs on top of. Taste, as far as deviled eggs goes, was average to slightly below average as deviled eggs go. 2/5 Humus was very bland. Needed more than salt in our opinion. 1.5/5 Asparagus: four stalks of asparagus for $4 or $5. The taste was good, even very good, but nowhere near worth the price. 2.5/5 Chocolate cake. My wife's score = 3.75/5. My score =2.5/5 -- very average, and in my opinion, not sweet or decadent enough. Lastly, it was disappointing a place of this caliber did not feature an assortment of craft sodas made with real sugar and no artificial flavors. Instead, they featured Coca-Cola products, full of high fructose corn syrup and artificial junk. Again rather disappointing. Overall 3.75/5. Overall we had a good time and enjoyed sampling the different menu items. We will definitely be back to sample more of the menu items. read more

Brand new to the area. I didn't know that I liked wine until I came here. I was greeted by a sweet lady named Lis who helped me find wines that I really enjoyed. I suggest the Blueberry wine. Our appetizer was the ahi tuna sashimi which was absolutely amazing. The fish was very fresh and the horse radish was perfectly portioned per bite. I had the gnocchi bolognese with braised short rib and it was insanely delicious. The gnocchi was filled with ricotta instead of potato. My mom had the shrimp and scallop risotto. It was also delicious but I liked mine way more. For dessert we shared a banana nut bread brûlée caramel Sunday. Probably the most unique dessert I've had and it blew our minds. The vanilla ice cream alone stopped me in my tracks. You have to save room for this dish. I can't wait to try more food and wine here. read more

Friendly and detail-oriented staff. We were serviced by multiple people and they were all delightful. You can tell they work really well as a team. The food was also great. We had flatbreads, brussels as apps and both were flavorful and well cooked. Dinner plates were large portions. Everyone has leftovers. Tried the lemon tart with blueberry for dessert and the crust was a bit too hard and chewy - not the texture we were expecting but mom thought it still had good flavor. My wife and I dined here for the second time. The first time we loved it and the food was excellent. This time though our server smelled like an ashtray and we could here him hacking up a lung everytime he walked away. Unfortunately this disgusted my wife and she barely touched her food. We really wanted to make this a regular dining spot but I don't think we'll be back. I don't want to turn people off from this place because with better service it's amazing , but if you get a bald server that's maybe close to 50 , I would highly recommend requesting to move sections. read more

Food is consistently getting worse and worse. We WERE fans forever! However, in recent months, there has been a change in- service is poor, food is inconsistent, and the restaurant has lost its ambiance. Every thing seems "rushed". Presentation of food is "thrown together". Staff is so busy turning tables they forget special requests (e.g. dressing on the side, no onions, etc.), deliver food to the wrong table. Bartender is poorly trained - they mixed a bourbon old fashioned that was the color of a cosmo! Yes, a pink old fashioned! Overall, if you don't have a reservation, the hostess acts as if you won't be seated. It's a racquet. We've never liked their wine. So, when we found out that the staff is evaluated by the number of wine memberships they sell, we were disappointed - obviously their focal point isn't on the food or the experience. We will go back - but only to pick up their truffles. read more
