Absolutely adore this place for the happy hour. 3-5:30 happy hour offering a good selection of wines, mostly red. Appetizers and other items available for a reduced priced too. I believe appetizers were 10 per item and wines were 8 per glass. Considering how much I enjoy every one of their reds (full price can by around 50% more, so ~13/glass) is reasonable. I've a big fan of the shiraz and being able to get it with a reduced price is a big plus. Spacious back room if you're interested in hosting events and they are easy to get a hold of. Family bathroom has a baby changing table, but it is broken so it drops down a bit too far (please fix this) Overall prices are okay if you plan on coming for special occasions, but happy hour will keep you back more consistently. I'm not a wine drinker but I still love Cooper's Hawk. I usually stop by for lunch and the food is delicious. The service is excellent and restaurant itself is beautiful and comfortable. Today Aldo was the server for lunch with my sister. He couldn't have been nicer. I had Dana's Parmesan-Crusted Chicken and my sister Elly had Ellie's Chicken Piccata. Food was outstanding and I really appreciate when everything is delicious. For mine it was garlic green beans & Betty's potatoes (which were different and tasty). Coopers continues to be a treat. Reservations are helpful but we can always snag a last minute one for two on a Saturday night. They've made some positive changes to the menu recently. The life balance salmon has been upgraded. It used to be a sad sized portion with boring potatoes. But now it's a full sized piece of salmon with new potatoes, and a small dollop of yogurt. It was the perfect sized meal for me and well balanced with veggies, fat, protein, carbs. Their wines are such fun to try. I was a member for a couple years and loved the wines. But when I tried to cancel, it appeared impossible. So I finally had to just tell my credit card company to reject the charges. If you want to stay a member forever, it's a good deal. But beware of the difficulty of canceling. That hasn't put me off the restaurant though. We still love the ambience and food. Service can be a little slow but this past time the server explained the food is always made from scratch which is why it takes a little longer. Definitely worth the wait! read more

My surefire picks are: *Surf and Turf (Prime Churrasco Grilled Steak and Grouper) *Brussel Sprout appetizer *Vin Veloute The servers I've run into are generally kind, attentive and provide good suggestions if you're on the fence with what to order. This location is on a busy stretch of strip mall however parking is relatively easy to find. Weekends tend to get busy and with that expect noise. I was excited to spend Galentines with the girls and they decided on this place. I didnt have a good experience food wise the first time but i was willing to give it a chance. Rhey had a brunch menu and of course i ordered steak and eggs and the steak was NASTY!!!! IT HAD AN AFTER TASTE that i cant even describe and ive never had that with any kind of steak before. Im not the only one 3 of us had the same experience so i know it wasnt me. The place is nice and the service was great! Jacob was our server and he was amazing to our group. The service was exceptional--we practically had our server all to ourselves, and every detail was accommodated perfectly. I ordered the gnocchi alla vodka and requested it spicy with jalapeños, and they nailed it. The kids' meals came out first, exactly on time, and every dish throughout the night was paced perfectly. We started with the egg rolls "over the border", and they were incredibly flavorful--crispy, rich, and a perfect warm-up on a snowy night. The ambience was everything you'd expect from a wine-forward Italian-inspired restaurant: cozy, elegant, and filled with the aroma of great food and great wine. Ehhh not as great as expected. Upon being seated I noticed crumbs all over the chair and had to brush it off before sitting. Then my order was wrong. Got the light chicken ranch salad and it came out with bacon. No where on it did it say bacon. I get it they have the same salad not on the light menu section with bacon. But I did mention on the light menu. If the employees were knowledgeable about their menu, maybe ask the customers which one did you want instead of getting it wrong the first time. Tried the brunch for the first time with a friend. We were both celebrating our birthdays and this was perfect. They offer $5 mimosas or a variety of other cocktails. We had the raspberry belinis. They have a nice brunch menu with several options and I love that you can order off of their regular menu as well. We had the drunken shrimp for an appetizer which was excellent. My friend had the brisket hash dish which she wasn't crazy about and I had the Cooper's Hawk steak & eggs. It's the priciest thing on the brunch menu at $30 but it was perfect. You get a filet, a couple of shrimp, cheesy scrambled eggs and crispy breakfast potatoes all in a delicious hollandaise sauce. My filet was tender and cooked perfectly and everything on the plate complimented each other. We mentioned we were celebrating our birthdays but they didn't acknowledge or do anything. That was a little disappointing since it was my friends actual day and my idea to come here based on other reviews. So we ordered a slice of Chocolate cake to share. I met a friend after work for some light bites and apps. We shared delicious bread/butter, tempura shrimp, four cheese truffle arancini, crispy Brussels sprouts and crispy tuna rice. The restaurant is large and spacious, with a beautiful tasting area. We opted to sit on the covered patio (facing Dempster), and although it was cool and breezy, it felt quite comfortable. However, the noise from Dempster (sirens, cars revving their engines, etc) was quite distracting. Why didn't CH locate the pair facing towards the mall instead of the street? The wait staff was friendly and very chill. We took forever to decide what we wanted, so props to our server who took it all in stride. Our food came out promptly, and our server let us gab long after our food was gone. Yeah that food was gone - so fast, because it tasted really good. Cooper's hawk where do I start, first off the good, we went for brunch today to pick up some wine since we are members and also got a bite to eat. We both got the steak and eggs which are excellent along with a glass of the brunch sangria for a very reasonable $5 price tag, our server was also great. The bad, the host staff leaves something to be desired. They don't really seem like they want to be there and are kinda...I don't want to say rude but just not all that warm. When we were directed to our table she didn't even look at us so we had no idea we were supposed to be following. We ordered the BANOFFEE PIE to go, a personal favorite of my me and my husband but sadly when we got home it was an key lime pie which is probably my least favorite desert so that was a bummer. As a wine club member for a few years now, this is one of my favorite locations. It can get pretty crowded on the weekends, but we have always been able to get to the tasting bar within a few minutes. Coming on weekdays, however, it the move. I love how there is always a new wine of the month because we love trying new things. But overall the Camilles are always good, and I can't leave without getting a couple glasses of bubbles. As far as food, it's delicious. The Southwest Egg Rolls and The Prime are by far the tastiest things on the menu. Lately I have been trying more vegetarian-focused foods, and even those are good here. I will definitely keep coming here for the foreseeable future. I'm reviewing only the dishes I ate, however there were people in my party who did not enjoy their food. The pot stickers and lettuce wraps were delicious. I was quite full from just that so I barely ate my soy ginger salmon with wasabi mash. However the few bites I ate were delicious, the flavor wasn't overpowering. The S'more for dessert was average, not sure I'd order it again. The dishes that bombed with others was the hamburger, the spaghetti with meatball and the jambalaya (specifically some of the shrimps in the jambalaya was not fully cooked). My mom chose to stay silent even though I urged her to have them cook it more. She packed it to go so she could cook it at home. Been a member for 6 years and this was by far the best experience I've had at a Cooper's hawk. Sal did our wine tasting and he was so fun and knowledgeable and we had the best time with him. We then moved to the bar for some apps and Jacob really was the cherry on top of the whole experience. I don't know what happened to Cooper's Hawk here but it has gone totally downhill. When it opened, it was great and we visited frequently. Our last visit, we had questionable service so we decided to give it another try today. The hostess stand was a mess, no one seemed to know what was going on and it took forever to get seated in a mostly empty restaurant. Our service was extremely slow, several different people delivered our drinks, appetizers and food and there were multiple dirty tables around us. I don't think I saw a manager once. My husband's steak was overcooked and the pretzel bread was stale. I truly hope they get it together because we used to love this place. The food is normally really good and I enjoyed my meal but I expect more from this restaurant especially for the price. read more

A group of 8 of us came for a birthday dinner. Service was on the slow side, but we didn't mind that much, as it was a leisurely meal. My husband did mind that his burger was burnt and dried out when he ordered it medium. He eats everything, and it was shocking to see him send the food back to the kitchen, but legit. I minded a bit when half the ahi tuna in my meal was overcooked. It was clearly not the A team in the kitchen. What I did mind the most was the waitress fraudulently added in more tip than I wrote on the check. Infuriating! I noticed when my bank account hit 2 days later, spoke to a manager who didn't even apologize, and then didn't hear back for 2 days. When I called the same manager back, he clearly hadn't looked into resolution prior to the follow up because he didn't have an update and only processed the refund when I followed up. Again, no apology. Poor customer service, and not an establishment I want to support in the future. read more

The Chicken Francese - carmelized roasted chicken, w/yukon gold potatoes, garlic spinach, Cambrian white wine sauce & lemon brown butter. Four of us had dinner on Tuesday evening. We have had the same server before. He's very nice however he got a couple of things wrong - he brought an entire glass of wine instead of the taste that was requested and then he completely forgot about the flatbread appetizer that we had ordered, and the entrées came out first. They tried to have us still take the flatbread, and we said no. It was strange because they asked several times. My better half had the pretzel crusted pork chop, which was delicious with the creamy mashed potatoes and broccolini. My dish was the Dana's Parmesan crusted chicken breast and I substituted garlic spinach instead of the potatoes. The chicken was perfectly cooked, moist and flavorful. Another person had the soy and wasabi salmon which they thoroughly enjoyed and the fourth dish was a prime rib sandwich I believe with the mashed potatoes. All were delicious. We had the special dessert of the day, which was like a cream puff, with various sauces, and some crunchy granola like sprinkles. It tasted good, but the texture was way too soft. We love Coopers Hawk and have dined there many times. We are also wine club members. The food is always delicious and usually the service is great. But, tonight we were disappointed. When we arrived for our 5:30 reservation, the restaurant was surprisingly not very busy. We were seated almost immediately. When our waiter, Roberto, came to the table we ordered a bottle of wine and an appetizer, which came out almost immediately. Sounds great so far, right? We finished our appetizer and had to wait a bit with empty plates in front of us before Roberto came back to take our dinner order. Our dinner ended up taking a long time getting out to us. And as the time went on, people around us, who ordered after us, were getting their food. Finally we got our dinner, which was delicious and was hot, so that was good, but once we finished, we again sat with our empty plates in front of us, for at least 10 minutes. We started feeling a bit ignored. We felt like Roberto was definitely paying more attention to his other tables, as the restaurant got busier, and that maybe he was just inexperienced. So, that being said, we felt like the other servers, even the manager, who was walking around, could have helped out, when they saw us just sitting there. Finally I got to order dessert, which again seemed like it took some time to come out. All together, we were in the restaurant for almost 2 hours, which is crazy. By the way, Roberto was more than pleasant, and we don't want to get him in trouble. We feel he just needs to figure out how to balance his time between all the tables better. Despite its mediocre food, delicious wine, acceptable ambiance, Lori's superb treatment of my two fellow Board members and I, made the evening spectacular. I ordered the burger and spicy calamari app. I don't recall what my guests ordered. Both were meh. The house wine was delicious, I'll give 'ole belzebub their due. But the attentive professional service by a delightful extravert made my lackluster meal digestible. So take note CHW management, treat Lori right or better restaurant will swoop her up. I haven't been to Cooper's Hawk in a long time and I have never been to this location. I recommend making reservations if you can as they always seem to be busy! It is a huge space-with the wine tasting and gift shop right when you walk in. We were celebrating a birthday for dinner and it was written on the reservation, but it wasn't mentioned or celebrated. The food also took awhile to come out. Aside from those issues- that was really my biggest compliant. The food across the board was really good. They start the table with pretzel bread and butter. The bread is crispy on the outside, but soft warm inside. We got a Caesar Salad and Over the Border Eggrolls for apps. The salad was unique with a pesto creamy caesar dressing, which was refreshing. The eggrolls were also a hit. They were very flavorful and crispy- all 3 dipping sauces went well with them. I was surprised how much I liked these. The asian coleslaw/salad in the middle also was great! For entrees I got the chef recommedation special of the Chicken Francese. We also got the Danas parmesan crusted chicken. Both were very good.
