We had a table of 15 celebrating a 90th birthday. Staff were on top of their game. Food was great. Highly recommend.

We have lived in the area for 6 years and always heard good things but never went here until recently, and we were not disappointed! We had a reservation but it wasn't needed since it was mid week. The dining area was very nice, not fancy but nice ambiance. The waitress and another male (possibly the owner) came to our table many times to check on us and were very nice. We got two appetizers and different mains and they were delicious. The Italian nachos were okay, the chips tasted like wontons and we ate the whole plate but would try something new next time. The Stuffed artichoke was very very good. My wife got the chicken Milanese salad which had a delicious large piece of chicken cutlet on top of the salad and I had the Shrimp pasta which was very good and fresh and had a little kick. This hidden gem. This is my new Go-to spot for dinner & drinks. The bartender Brian is phenomenal - a true mixologist... I kinda feel like I shouldn't share this because the bar area is quite quaint and we love it... Now for the food... never had a bad meal. The specials are spectacular! I've had their Lamb bolognese before (OMG) and last night their seafood stew, again did not disappoint. Absolutely- Hands Down - recommend this spot! read more

Does not disappoint! The food was fresh and full of flavor. Very large amount of choices. Our server, Taylor was very attentive and sweet. I had a special called Bacelli or something like that. Pasta sausage and spinich in a tasty cream sauce. The pasta purse appetizer was so light and fresh. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. If I had to make any suggestion, it wpuld be to upgrade the bread served. It was not good at all. Last night I was invited by some friends to try a new place.... When he called to reserve a table at 6pm the owner (answers phone) said they can accommodate us but the table is reserved for 8pm as well. That in itself is way beyond rude..... I wish I would have known this prior to sitting down. We started literally at 6pm.... A waitress, who needs to retire, was assigned to our table. Short, pissy attitude. Most likely from NJ. We ordered about 6:10 with a bunch of mumbling under our servers breath and huffing. 25 minutes later the appetizers show. 7:25 the main entrees show. 7:50 coffees and espressos are ordered. 8:10 were out under watchful eyes. The food was fair at best. My burger, ordered medium, was almost rare. Only ketchup as a side with my fries. A single piece of lettuce and two ends of pickles and small tomato slices. It was all very blah. The other dishes were, upon us chatting, about the same, blah. Ok, but nothing to speak of. Our server actually asked if we needed anything as she walked by ending the sentence facing away from us past our table. It was almost comical at this point. How this place survives is a wonder. Maybe it's just convenient for middle class food. It's definitely very sub middle class food fare at extremely high NYC type pricing. My wife and I try to come here at least once a month when we can afford to. We've tried a few different types of dishes and have yet to be disappointed by any of them. One of the better restaurants in Rockland County. The Butternut Sqush Raviloi is my favorite as well as the home made potato chips with balsalmic and blue cheese crumbles. Excellent food, great staff and great ambiance. The prices are the prices because, well, everything is expensive due to inflation but they are well within reason of every where else. read more

Ok let's start with anyone rating this place less than 5 stars probably complains everywhere they go!! Then let's continue with the fact I didn't want to go here (I don't like to try new places), but the family insisted. Ok fine, I'm grumble thru it... And I'm glad I did! A spontaneous trip to Rockefeller State Park and a wonderful end to a sun filled day. This place was able to seat us 30 minutes before we arrived and made our experience with 4 kids under 5 very easy. They supplied us with ample coloring books and crayons. The food was pretty good as well. Some of us got the hamburger and steak burger and they said it was delicious. I enjoyed the tomato and mozzarella salad. I wish I was able to give this place a negative star. we walked in and they were busy, it took about 5 minute before someone could assist us and we let him know that our reservation for 4 now changed and we will be a party of 5. The gentleman told me that we would have to wait a little. Not knowing someone else spoke to us and told us we would have to wait a couple of minutes another staff member comes to let us know that it's going to be an super long wait, and the first man that I spoke to stated no our table is ready. This appeared like they did not want to serve our party of 5 black professional women. As we're getting our things together to leave one Of the waitress asks if we were there for a job. It's 2023 and the amount of looks and states that we got walking into this place was absolutely ridiculous. This place did not meet expectations. Let's start with the good at least. The atmosphere is great, with plenty of seating. The appetizer I had - a four onion soup was quite tasty. Plenty of cheese, just the way I like it, on top. The soup was tasty and not too strong in taste. The service was also quite good. There and friendly when needed, but not overbearing. For the main, however, I got the scallop risotto special and was pretty disappointed. The risotto was way too sweet. Any other flavor was completely lost. Overall, I just couldn't get through this dish let alone enjoy it. The rest of my party did not enjoy their main either. Really came to this place expecting to love it and was let down. read more

So I'm up in Congers for work and heard this place had mob ties so naturally I had to stop by. Well, I don't know so much about the mob because there were a few families with kids here and I got exactly zero Godfather vibes, but I had such a delightful experience anyway. In the unlikely event that I'm back in Congers, I'll definitely be back at the Station Kitchen. Carrie was my server and she was a total riot. Clearly everyone loves her here because it seemed like she was friends with every single person in the restaurant...then again I felt like we were bffs by the time I left too. There were several gluten free options on the menu, and I ordered the BBQ Pork Shepherds Pie and it was a game changer. It could also have easily fed 2 people or just me because I was so starving. The pork was so juicy and paired really nicely with the cheddar mashed potatoes on top. Anyway, it wasn't really authentic Shepherds Pie, but then again it never tried to be because it incorporated some different flavors, but still kept it delicious and hearty. I ordered the flourless chocolate cake for dessert and it was also really tasty. I feel like lots of restaurants kind of don't care about flourless cakes and they end up incredibly dense - not this one. So moist and flavorful. PROS: This place was a cute little place to eat at. The atmosphere looks like an old train station pub and it overlooks the train tracks. The staff was very nice to my family and I and they knew what they were doing! The menu had great food on it along with decent prices. The place was very clean and it also had a bar in it that's open late. CONS: This place is a little confusing to get to because you have to turn onto this street that's parallel to the train tracks. The parking lot is very small and the bar could get congested if there are enough people there. The menu doesn't have enough to choose from on the menu and it opens around dinner time rather than for lunchtime​ OVERALL: This place isn't a bad place to eat at. Was a great place for dinner on a cold winter night. My wife and I had dinner after seeing "Beautiful - Carole King" Musical in Morristown. I heard good things about the Station, so living in Bergen County wasn't a problem driving to Congers. Brussel Sprouts appetizers was fantastic and so were our mains - Shrimp Scampi (wife's) and Scallops with Season Hash (mine). All the staff were attentive and pleasant. Tonight's experience at Station Kitchen was fantastic. I tried two different wines from the specials menu on top of the fact that it was Wine Down Wednesday which means the wine is half price. Calamari with two dipping sauces for an app, and two specials, stuffed shrimp in a brandy cream sauce and Greek scallops. All was amazing! Really nice place in the middle of Congers. Service was very attentive, knowledgeable and professional, food came out quickly. Place was clean with kind of a rustic look. Had the tater tot appetizer which was excellent along with the PEI mussels in white wine sauce which was also great. French onion soup was super flavorful and cheese was melted just right. Our favorite go to restaurant in Rockland County. Love the eclectic menu, wine list, friendly staff and location. If they are not busy, they will take requests for items not on the menu and cook them for us. I really enjoy dinning outside and watching the freight trains roll by with their art gallery of graffiti! Upon entering, we where greeted right away by the staff and seated. The waiter was with us quickly and was energetic and friendly. We sat on the first floor and the place had a very rustic Americana look. The theme seemed to be trains, since it is across from the old closed, Congers Train stop. It is a very clean, warm, and inviting place. We ordered two separate apps and mains. The apps, salad, and main all came at perfectly timed spacing. The staff hustled! They were on the spot with everything as I observed them throughout the restaurant. Not pushy at all and we didn't feel rushed. The food was amazing and a perfect portion. The Chef certainly knows his craft! The drink list was typical with some house mixed drinks. The beers were the common domestics and a few interesting imports, namely Chimay and Innis & Gunn, both very high end imports. We did. It eat desert since we over did it with out mains and apps. It was a great experience. A high quality restaurant with a casual atmosphere. We will certainly make plans for a return visit. read more
