I'm always surprised when the food at a restaurant we've dined at in the past, is quite different when we return. The Croquettas Jamon Cubanas were as tasty as we're used to, and the mayonnaise-based sauce was nice and smooth. Unfortunately, the Empanadas De Picadillo have changed, and not for the better. Our Cubano Sandwich wasn't quite as good as in the past - - the pork was a bit overcooked and dry. Everything else was perfect. Our Margaritas were nice and refreshing, as always. Our server, Bryan, was terrific. His suggestions were helpful and his service attentive. Copacabana is light and airy - very comfortable. We sat outside on their large patio. Having been here several times it makes me very sad to write this review. The four stars are mostly because of the service. Our server Bryan was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They recently tweaked menu but not for the better. The empanada filling has a different seasoning and texture than it did before but was accompanied by a delicious chimichurri sauce. The pork in the Cuban sandwich was dry and lacked flavor. I'm happy to report that the croquetas served with a mayo sauce were delicious as always. My margarita was weak but had good flavor. The Copacabana Cuban Cuisine wishes nestled on Main Street in Abacoa, smack dab between two other restaurants, because obviously, it's the best one, and the universe knows it. The staff immediately seated us , and was absolutely wonderful throughout the dining experience. This place has domino tables out on the patio every Sunday, because nothing says "authentic Cuban experience" like knocking over a tile or two while savoring your mofongo. Now, onto the good stuff: my favorite Cuban delights. Think crispy, freshly made Mariquita's (plantain chips that are dangerously addictive), corn husk-steamed Cuban tamal packed with pork, tender fried pork chunks that make you forget your diet, and thin, pan-fried chicken strips that are basically chicken magic. And let's not forget, they serve all-day happy hour with two-for-one beer, wine, and house cocktails. Because who doesn't want to start happy and stay that way? Weekend nights bring live music and dancing a lively spectacle that's fun to watch but might make your inside voice want to go outside. Came here this past Friday with my wife and sat at the bar. They had entertainment which consisted of a vocalist playing percussion to piped in music . He was very good and had the whole place dancing. We had a couple of drinks and then ordered dinner. The house drinks are huge. I had a mojito and it was great. We ordered a garlic shrimp appetizer to share. It was plentiful, but not very garlicky. Served with bread for dipping. For mains my wife ordered the bistec de pollo plancha and enjoyed it. I had the pork Osso Bucco which was a huge portion and very tasty. Served with yellow rice and plantains. My only complaint is that the rice was overcooked and dry. 1st time there big clean nice restaurant Cuban music was nice. Lovely server struggling with English but I guess added to the charm! My hubby and I both had pork with onions black bern I had plantains.. only 3 small ones a bit greasy but still good. Plenty of food! Decided to try Copacabana last night. We didn't even know it was there. We sat at the bar and Bryan was our bartender. Super nice guy and made us awesome mojitos. It's decorated really cute with license plates from all over the world on the walls. My husband ordered the lechon asado and I had pico de gallo. We also shared boiled yucca. We have been to Cuba and I have to say everything was just like there. Quality and quantity of our dishes were spot on. Everything was so flavorful and absolutely delicious. There was also live music and a lot of dancing. This is a family owned business and I highly suggest to give it a try. We will definitely be back again. read more

So sad this is not the place it used to be. Once a local favorite, has now truly degraded in all areas. We had a party of 10 and were the only other table in the restaurant. An hour for our food and it came out cold - how is that possible? Six employees milling around for 2 tables and still could never get drink refills or timely service - which is pret-ty hard to do in my mind when the place is empty! Pretty uneven, over a couple visits. This time it was Sunday afternoon, so definitely not the A Team. Two of the four tostones rellenos came out with cold shrimp, and all had a layer of cheese I'm not used to from other Cuban restaurants. Turned the dish very bland. Also the Cuban tamale was still from-the-refrigerator cool, and had to be sent back for a re-heat. Tasty upon its reappearance, but more a tamale in a pork sauce than a tamale with any measurable amount of pork. If I'd not been here before and has better, this would be a "don't bother with this place" sort of review. But, on my previous visit I got the mofungo with pork and it was outstanding. Truly the best since I had visited Puerto Rico where the dish originated. So, mixed bag. Hoping a third visit breaks the tie in a good direction. The servers were super friendly. The food came out quickly and everyone enjoyed their meals. The restaurant is casual with plenty of outdoor seating. Their Mojitos are really good and don't taste like spearmint toothpaste like most restaurants. I loved the fried pork chunks and my husband and our guest had Ossobuc. We got an order of croquettas for our family of 8 people, everyone tried one thinking they would be Cuban style at this CUBAN restaurant. Enjoyed it so much one day we went for lunch and another night we came back for cocktails and live music. Service was spot on, we felt welcomed both days. If I lived in Jupiter, I feel like I would definitely be a regular night after night. Our lunch was filling, we had leftovers to enjoy for later which after reheating were still good. I love the ambiance all the pictures on the wall give Copacabana a special feel. We were able to walk easily here from Roger Dean Stadium for cocktails, we sat outside on the patio. We were looking for somewhere to eat and we ran to this restaurant .The food was good here . I got calamari for appetizers and mariquitas con guacamole. We had to wait for service because they didn't know who was going to take care of us but it was fix . I thought it was interesting that they had tables to play domino's . It almost felt like you were in Cuba. The only thing that was a little annoying was every time we tried to talk we would hear the noise of the dominos. Other than that food was good. read more

I loved my recent lunch at Copacabana. My Chicharrón de Pollo was perfect, as were the black beans and plantains I chose as side dishes. The serving size was pretty big, so I ate the leftovers for dinner. My three dining companions were also pleased with their meals. One raved about being able to get a chicken dish with just dark meat. Even the Arnold Palmer was great. We happened upon this when a neighboring restaurant was closed, and we are so glad we did. Las masitas de puerco frito was the only really good food but you can't really mess that up. I believe if you want good Cuban food just take the drive on down to Miami for it will be worth it. On Sundays they do their famous paella and it's an event! Go early! Copacabana is family owned restaurant and understands the real meaning of hospitality. We were in Jupiter for an event and were looking to try a restaurant we had not visited prior. While walking around Abacoa, we stumbled upon Copacabana, and what a great find it was! The drink menu is quite extensive, so try something unusual while listening to the happy Cuban music going on. Our server was very attentive and brought our drinks right out. For dinner I ordered Ropa Vieja, which consists of shredded stewed beef with peppers, onions and tomatoes. My wife had Churrasco, which is a skirt steak with Cuban spices and Chimichurri sauce. Both of these dishes were incredible, so don't hesitate to check out Copacabana! A couple of Cuban Coffees on the way out topped off a great meal. What a great place! Can't wait to return! read more

First thing they did was changed the mofongo it used to be the closest to a great dominican mofongo and now they made it into a mangú not even, then on top of that triple the price. Copacabana is consistently the best cuban cuisine that I have tried. Over the past year, my family and I have dined there, or ordered take out, likely more than two dozen times. The Churarasco is an absolutely delicious lunch and dinner entrée, with very clean flavors and tender beef. The art comes from the time taken marinating the beef. A touch of onion is placed on the dish to complement the beef, at your discretion. It is, admittedly pungent for my taste, yet still enjoyable. The white rice is truly fantastic. The Churarasco entrée comes with two sides; I routinely get double white rice with mine. It has a delicate touch of - what I believe to be olive oil and salt - that creates a warm, welcoming taste. The portion of beef is very generous. It is by far my favorite entrée here. The classic mojito is also a fantastic choice to complement one's dine-in experience! read more
