We visited this restaurant yesterday for the first time since 2020. Back then, the food was delicious, yesterday, not so much. Very nice presentation and customer service but the food on the Brunch menu was lacking. I didn't get waffles or an omelet so I can't speak for those items. But the grits had an unusual taste, breakfast sausage lacked flavor, brisket was too dry and it goes on. The eggs were good along with jambalaya, broccoli, and potatoes. That's it. Brunch service was great. We went early January as I wanted to see how good the prime rib was. We were sat outside by the water feature, so that was a nice ambiance. The carving station (prime rib and ham), meat was a bit tough but I still ate it. I did eat of the breakfast bar and will tell you, that is where the tasty food is served! My husband and I LOVE Copeland's! I was first introduced through a friend for Mardi Gras a few years back and I thought what a great place. Last year we started to make it the spot to celebrate. I did all my wedding planning here, we even had our rehearsal dinner here. Birthday dinners with friends and family, anniversaries, even just a nice spot to meet up, this has been the place to go to. The service has always been amazing as well. Every server I've had no matter what time of day has always made me feel welcomed, and made sure I was never without. As far as food goes, my husband is an extremely picky eater.....that being said there isn't one thing on the menu that he's not loved! Copeland's is an insult! I'm not even going to go over how bad the meal was. But I will say they can't make a bananas foster to save their life! Very frustrating. We have been eating here since we moved to Florida over 20 years ago. We were there the first day they started doing the brunch, and now it is our favorite option when we visit. Their catfish is one of my go to meals, and they serve it on the brunch buffet. Also from the brunch we love the creamy grits, the omelette station, and the waffle station. My kids love that they can get seconds. If you love southern food and Cajun seasonings, you will love this place. I did not plan to eat lunch here yesterday but I'm so glad that I did. I've eaten at Copeland's before, probably a few times for dinner and once for a Saturday brunch so I had a good idea of what the food tasted like. I stopped by for lunch after another restaurant that I wanted to try was closed. I was seated at a booth near the bar and quickly waited on by the bartender. I knew exactly what I wanted so she took my order right away and within just a few minutes all of my food came out: Jazzy Wings, Mac n cheese, and Charbroiled oysters. Everything was fresh and delicious. I would probably go for fries over the mac n cheese next time but it wasn't bad. My server was very attentive, it was quiet enough for me to read my book and be entertained by the conversation of the patrons dining in front of me. All in all, it was a great lunch, my only gripe would be the cost. I just feel like all items should be priced separately for lunch, $50 for lunch (tip included) is a bit much. I had leftovers though so it's the only meal that I paid for that day. read more

Delayed review: Last weekend, I ordered the crawfish etouffée and a couple of extra biscuits (the meal came with one). The etouffée was delicious! The rich, dark roux was just spicy enough without overpowering the dish. It came with plentiful chunks of crawfish throughout, served over a bed of rice. I ordered extra biscuits because Copeland's self-touts them as "famous". I took off one star because they were just okay. They were pretty dry. I might have misread the menu because I thought they were supposed to have honey butter on them. Luckily, I keep a bottle of honey at home and it helped a lot. I liked Copeland's and look forward to trying more of the menu! read more
