    Twisted, Sweet, & Smoky Burger

A tale of who experiences. If you're driven to seek a diverse selection of beers, this is excellent. The food though - you need to know they slashed the menu. It's down to 6 appetizers, 4 burgers, and 2 salads to choose from. Disappointed at that surprise as I was going there primarily for dinner and to have a beer. Cubano, French Dip, all gone. Many times when a restaurant cuts their menu, they can do better quality control. Not the case here - 3 stars. Twisted, Sweet & Smoky Burger was okay. Roasted red pepper had a nice sweet balance to the thick cut smoked bacon. Unfortunately, bacon very dry/overcooked so it was chewy like an oversized bacon bit. And I guess I'm generally not a fan of frozen Wagyu patties. They aren't juicy and tend to be chewy. So, too much dry and chewy in the burger. I tried a few of my friend's fries, and kind of the same thing. Very dry, chewy, and tough. Way too much garlic salt. I can't tell if they were freezer burned or they had been sitting above a fryer thawing for a while before they were dropped for the order. Glad I didn't order them. For a Friday at 6pm, seemed understaffed but the front of house employee was friendly despite running around like crazy. They do offer outside seating, bar seating, high tables, and regular tables, which is a nice blend of options. If all I wanted was a beer and a Bavarian Pretzel, this is a great place to go.

It was love at first bite! Great beer and delicious food! The pretzel was great and my husband said it's the best beer cheese he has ever had... and we've had our fair share of beer cheese. The beer to go with it was cold and refreshing as well (the Huckleberry Cream Ale was my favorite). Quick and friendly service. Typical beer bar environment with fun beer decor around. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that enjoys a good beer and pub vibes!

What an amazing selection of beer. Ciders ,IPAs and The owner buys small batches so he can rotate often. The food selection is limited but that hopefully means the quality will be great. I had a couple beers some nice conversation with the owner and other patrons. I look forward to trying it again

I've been coming every week as my "end of the week treat" and it's something I very much look forward to. I've only ever seen the owner, Kevin bartending. He is so friendly and gives great recommendations. He always ask's my style preference and it's usually an IPA of some sort. He has the largest selection of craft beer from all over that I've seen in Boise and surrounding areas. I'm sure he'll have something you'll enjoy. Food doesn't disappoint either. I've only ever seen an older gentleman in the kitchen and he surely knows what he is doing. Last week, I had the Habanero Bacon Grilled Cheese and it was AMAZING and I've thought about it all week. Sports are on the TV's, he also has games that you can play at your table. It's a super chill place. I better get ready for the gym, so I can get my "weekly treat."

On a quiet afternoon, this was a great retreat. A wide selection of ciders & Beers with knowledgeable staff to guide your taste buds to right place. I asked from a cross section of ciders from their 16+ choices and i was very pleased with what i tasted. The food is tasty as well, and reason enough to eat here.

Inside out: I think this location has been hard to notice for a long time, despite this I think it's a lovely location with plenty of parking. The inside and outside of the building seem clean and well-kept, the vibe inside is relaxed and exactly what you want for drinking a beer. Service: A friend of mine comes here all the time and is a regular, I went with them each time I've gone and the service has been great. Food/beer: I mean if you like beer come here. I think it's probably got to be one of the best selections I've ever seen and it's absolutely a blast to choose. Every drink I've picked so far has been delicious, the food isn't incredible but I can't say anything bad about it. Never had a meal I didn't like! Overall: this place is fun, I'm an introvert and I even went to a live band they had on a Friday and it was actually enjoyable. If you're looking for a place to hang out with a friend inside or outside, it's a great place for catching up over brews and bites.

CopenRoss is always our location of choice when we get together with our friends. They have a huge selection of beers and ciders on tap. The owners are so kind and personable and make it a great experience. Although they are known for their drinks, their food is what I always look forward to. The pretzel with beer cheese is hard to beat. They also have great sandwiches and wings. On Thursday nights they have song bingo, which is always an event we look forward too. This is a perfect place to meet up with friends for a drink or a bite to eat. I highly recommend it!

Love this neighborhood taproom. Extra plus that they serve food. Their pretzel and beer cheese is my favorite thing on the menu. Definitely recommend. They have SO many beers, ciders, sours, meads, wines, you name it on tap. I would suggest getting a flight and tasting several!

Two enterprising young women are owners of this gem of a popular West Bench neighborhood gathering…read morespot that they created in what was an old dump of a 1950's era strip mall space and funded in part with crowd sourcing. Being curious since they opened this in Fall'ish 2024 and finding myself in the neighborhood, this was a destination stop for my husband and me when we went in about 11:30 on a weekday for coffee and a nosh. Pride of ownership shines in the clean and funky feeling interior and it is clearly popular because it was full, almost every seat, of people that seemed from the neighborhood, including a number of parents with young children. They advertise this as coffee and market, but I honestly didn't notice the market part, in that things for sale didn't jump out at me. That may have been because I was just trying to navigate to a seat in and out in the crowded space. THE MO: Coffee and the limited menu for food is ordered at the counter, carry to your seat and bus your own when finished. Although we were the only people at the counter and there were two people in the kitchen, it took quite some time for someone to come to take the order, although once someone finally saw us, they were pleasant, if not welcoming, in taking the coffee order and then again when my hubby went back to order pastries to go with it. MENU: Coffee, other beverages and a very small option of eats is listed behind the counter and on a paper menu there. Options included soup of the day and Gaston's bakery pastries. There were some breakfast sandwiches by local provider Poppyseed Bakery in the fridge section, we weren't told about them but seeing them when passing by the fridge on a trip to the loo, asked if they could be heated and were told they could be. We chose a couple of pastries ($5.50 each) and were reminded why we seldom buy Gaston's products for being too buttery and one note. The cortado ($4) were good. I noticed a woman at the table across from us who was sipping a beverage and eating what looked like a sandwich she had carried in. I don't know if that is part of allowable stuff or not. The pottery used for all of their coffee service, ours and the mugs at other tables, is great. AMBIANCE: They did an admirable job here of making this light and bright and just funky enough with pride of ownership and loving care in maintenance sparkling through. Seating includes a few level in, not step up, booths along one wall, a sofa and chairs near the front and many standard height tables and chairs (maybe too many when all full as getting to seat is tough) and a play area for kids in the corner. It had far less comfortable 'breathing room' space than I anticipated from photos. But I didn't take interior photos to post because I think it is rude to do that when lots of people are going to be in them who maybe don't want to be. ;-) LOO: There are two and both are uni and sparkling clean with great murals on the wall and good plumbing fixtures. My husband even pointed out the "cool" sink. Both are ADA compliant so kudos to them for that. (Yes, it is law and code but you'd be astounded by how many ignore both.) ACCESSIBILITY: One ADA parking spot right outside the door. (There are too few spots for the parking lot but that is not the coffee shop owners' failure. That is the lot owner's issue.) Level in the door. All on one floor. The tables would probably work for a wheelchair user to roll under. But it would be near impossible, based on my experience yesterday (I have had multiple sclerosis since age 20 and sometimes use a wheelchair) for a wheelchair user to get between tables and chairs for a clear path of travel to get to seating or the loo.

So it was delightful when The Sturiale Place reopened last month (May 2018) as warm and wonderful as ever for ambiance in the lovingly restored old house, hospitality, service and food. With a revised and bit expanded menu and a new young Chef in the kitchen, formerly Executive Chef at a Portland area McMenamins, this was a unique little gem before and the changes have polished it even brighter. Our first lunch after re-opening was as delightful as the others we enjoyed here last year (see my previous review for details). This time we enjoyed being able to try new menu items like green salad with Delicata squash and herbed goat cheese (half order $7.50), house made pappardelle with braised lamb Bolognese ($18) and mushroom Marsala on polenta ($13). As a great new surprise on the wine menu, manager Gina Sturiale (daughter of Rita) has added a really good white and red wine by the glass, like the nice Negroamaro my husband enjoyed, for as little as $5! The menu spans options from soup through appetizers and starter or main course sized salads through entrees to desserts. Prices range from $6 to $18. Total inside seating is limited to maybe 16 and maybe about that many on an outside deck. So this is not a place for big groups. It is likely not a kids' destination either. As added treat they are now open on Thursday and Friday from 11 to 2 for lunch. And now reservations can be made via Open Table.
