After enjoying a delicious lunch here today, my friend and I were ready to depart feeling quite full. Our waitress (also one of the owners here) suggested we try the corn bread ice cream sundae after our meal. We had no intention of having dessert and of course there is the whole idea of cornbread and ice cream in the same bowl. After a nano moment of hesitation we went for it and I am so glad we did. It is most likely the BEST dessert I have ever had. I am definitely a dessert person. Please try it and share it because it is quite large. The cornbread is homemade and, well it's hard to describe other then saying it is perfection. It is topped with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream and sitting in a bowl of caramel sauce that tasted like nothing I have ever had out of a jar. My friend is not big on sweets but we managed to finish the entire dessert sharing equally.This special treat will make everything right again, it is that scrumptious. I have never had a meal here that I did not love and now, I don't think I can ever leave there without indulging in the cornbread ice cream sundae. read more

During the coronavirus pandemic, we've been trying to patronize local businesses. My husband had a craving for ribs and when I searched, this was the first place that came up. As a foodie, I took a glance at the pics and reviews and I liked what I saw. We decided to give them a try. We called to place our order and was told the wait would be about 45 mins. Not bad in my opinion for 5 o'clock on a Friday. I was even offered a text if my food was ready sooner. Our ordering included ribs, chicken fettuccine Alfredo, & chicken nachos. All deemed good choices based on reviews and my order taker. Upon arrival I was notified that my food was ready and it was promptly brought outside. My ride home was about ten minutes and most of the food was still hot. I captured pictures of what I could but my daughter got to her entree before I could take a pic. The hubby had the ribs. They were tender and saucy! To be honest they reminded us of Chili's. No offense please because we do like their ribs as well. Anyway, I'd eat the ribs again. Not sure how I get about the fry order. One came with the ribs and we ordered an extra. The same amount of fries was NOT in each back. At $4.50 for a side of fries...I'd expect more. Unfortunately the nachos is where my food took a turn for the worst. I was beyond disappointed. My mouth just hung open as I looked into the container. There were huge chunks of still pink rotisserie chicken in my container. The lettuce was a bag salad mix and they were cold! I tried tasting a few but my assumptions were correct. The nachos had no flavor. I've read other restaurants in the area are serving nachos deconstructed. This restaurant should take a page out of their book. Would I eat here again? Likely, but not sure about taking it to-go. read more

The service was much improved from the last visit and our parties food was enjoyed by all. Pros: nice interior, new delightful patio, friendly staff. Cons: still a bit pricy for what you get. A side note. The on line dine in menu has no pricing. Usually when there are no prices listed it means that "if you have to ask you can't afford it." Interesting choice. read more

Went on a Saturday at about 4:30. Easy seating, well spaced tables and excellent service. Dinner came with a nice salad. Both ribs & brisket were excellent, tender, fall off the bone goodness. We thought the corn bread dessert was weird but turned out to be quite yummy. Definitely worth the trip and visit! read more

I recommend calling ahead to make a reservation especially, on the weekend. The place was jammed for Friday dinner. Not a single open chair in the place. Tables are not socially distanced. Waiters and staff wore masks. We were at a small table for 6 people that, towards the end of the meal, made for an uncomfortable dining experience. Service could have been better but; in their defense, it was very busy with a lot of big parties seated. Some fun, craft cocktail options each running about $9 a drink. The food was ok. Nice vegetarian options for appetizers. The batter on the asparagus was delish! I ordered the lettuce wraps and asked to have it wrapped. They served it unwrapped but, quickly brought it back wrapped nicely and included a free order of fries which was a nice touch. Hands down the best item on the menu is the cornbread. They serve them piping hot and as mini loafs. To die for. Whatever you do, if dining here, make sure you order a side of cornbread! read more

Food was great, but it was incredibly loud in there. It was so loud I could not hear the people at my table. I got an alert on my phone that the ambient noise was over 95 decibels. They could really improve the experience with some noise absorbing ceiling material and curtains. read more

We finally came dined here this past Saturday. We started with the fried deviled eggs & the bacorn. The deviled eggs were very good, but you get 2 whole eggs only (4 halves) for $7. A little pricey. I think 6 halves would be a perfect size. The bacorn is amazing. Incredibly delicious & I thought the price/food ratio was good. For our entrees, we ordered off the smokehouse menu. I tried the smoked turkey & my husband had the brisket. We enjoyed both. The turkey was a little dry, but I still enjoyed it. Super cute, cozy ambiance. The drinks are amazing (I especially enjoy a Meomi or mule), the food is delicious, and the service is exceptional. I always get the fish tacos, but I think the favorite is the ribs!!! Everyone loves them and my 9 year old now orders them off the adult menu because she is obsessed! As a Catholic, my family started going every Friday during Lent for fish fry. It was SO GOOD that we have continued the tradition. Another family favorite is the hummus plate - if you like black beans, this is something you MUST try. I craved it while pregnant. In addition, my 7 year is a Mac and Cheese connoisseur and thinks their Mac and Cheese with Bacon has the perfect amount of cheese to noodle ratio. If you have never been, you must check it out. Fantastic restaurant. Been here several times since moving into Huntley 3 years ago and now with the pandemic we've been ordering carry out. Great bbq and sides. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Overall a much better bbq restaurant than ANY of their competition that I've been to so far. Their smoked chicken is always a winner. I normally am not a fan of chicken anything because I usually find it boring, but they do it right. Ribs always fall off the bone tender. Brisket always juicy. Sides are great. We tried the Copper Barrel on Saturday, 2-25-2023, the place looked very nice, and the bar had the most people. Service was good and the food was just ok. We had the BBQ combo and there was nothing that really stood out. The turkey was not smoked and tasted rather old. It turned me off a bit. I don't understand why a restaurant puts so much money and effort in a nice-looking place and the food quality falls short. We just moved in the area, and we dine out a great deal. I would give the Copper Barrel another chance, but they need to work on the quality of the food. read more

Stopped in for lunch after visiting Pioneer Farm. Happy to see they had a kid's menu and one that had both pizza and mac n cheese! We went with some poutine to start - delicious! Lots of meat and good gravy to cheese ratio. For the meals the husband had a filet and I had shrimp tacos. The shrimp initially looked undercooked, but tasted fine. The baked potato was undercooked, but it was early in the day, so you can understand that. Kids liked their meals as well. I'd definitely come back when/if we were out this way again! read more

Pretty excellent out here. The BBQ doesn't hold up against a proper BBQ place but the sandwiches are great, the sides are all solid, and the portions for the price are decent. The hidden gem I've found is the poutine. The gravy is a little bland but it's definitely a solid choice of you're not feeling a sandwich that day. read more

We've been here several times & it seems like if u get one of the younger waitresses, the service is lack luster. We sat for a while before she came over & it took forever to be able to order. She just seemed overall disinterested. Our apps were really good tho!! Most of our entrees were pretty good. My son said his pulled pork sandwich was just ok. He said it wasn't very flavorful & the bun was soaked thru, so he couldn't pick it up. It's annoying to get really good service one time & then mediocre the next. read more
