First time here. Food: It was a Friday evening, around 8:00, and we decided to try some of the fish specials. I ordered the Pan-Seared Walleye, and she chose the Lake Perch Fry. Since our entrées included access to the salad bar, we started there. The appearance of the salad bar was disappointing. I realize it was later in the evening, but there were literally salad bar fixings all over the place. Some items were mixed together, some had spilled onto the enclosure, and there was food on the floor as well. Much of what was offered looked like it had come straight out of a can. The walleye wasn't bad. However, the mixed vegetables were a pile of mush, and although I had requested the potato pancake be extra crispy, it was still undercooked in the middle. The perch fry was okay, but nothing special. For dessert, she ordered the Brandy Alexander, and I had the LemonBerry Cake. The Brandy Alexander was very good, while the LemonBerry Cake was mediocre. Service: Our server did a nice job getting us settled in. Water and drinks arrived promptly, and they were friendly and pleasant throughout the evening. However, they became involved in a lengthy conversation at another table, so getting our check took quite a while. Atmosphere: To be honest, the place looks a bit run-down and could probably benefit from some TLC. Since it was later in the evening, there weren't many other diners, and the restaurant was relatively quiet. The view of the lake through the windows is spectacular and makes it a great place to watch the sunset. I wish the food had been better. Stopped in with a group of 5 for a fish fry at 4:30 and were seated right away. A beautiful view of the lake and nice interior. A pleasant server took our drink orders. I had a brandy old fashioned that was good, but had no muddling or garnish. I ordered the perch with a potato pancake, which came with the salad bar. The salad bar had a nice variety of salad fixings and side salads and soups. I had the German potato salad which was excellent; just like Grandma used to make, and very good couscous tomato and blue cheese salad. I also had a cup of clam chowder that was ok; not a lot of clam. I received a large Serving of perch which was good, though the batter was a little tough; Couldn't cut it with a fork. Had to take a couple of pieces home so I had room for dessert. The potato pancake was good, as was the marble rye bread. My wife's baked cod had a creamy white sauce and was delicious. We were 15 minutes early for our reservation and were left waiting for 40 minutes with 3 empty tables in one of the dining rooms. While we waited, I ordered a jalapeno pineapple margarita - I have had these many times, so I know what it SHOULD taste like. It was awful - tasted like watered down lemon juice. No pineapple, no jalapeno and no tequila! Then a waitress with some kind of attitude, who instead of asking what we would like or how she could help us, continued to ask "what do you need from me". I had never been here before but members of our group of seven have been here for dinners and other occasions. This was not the typical dining experience since it was Easter brunch. The place was packed but the friendly staff did a great job keeping things moving . The buffet was kept well stocked. The Bloody Mary was very good and came with a deviled egg. The selection of food was very good and the quality was also good. The German potato salad was excellent, as was the smoked salmon. The glazed waffles were incredible. The price for the buffet was reasonable $37. A bonus was the great view from the dining room. It would nice to return in summer for a dinner and to dine outside. read more

Appetizers plenty of delicious options to choose from. We went with the Portabella mushroom. OMGGGG the cheese blend the breadcrumb crunch the freshness of the Portabella all blending in perfect harmony. Delicious! It is served on a platter of fresh spinach leaves. A perfect complement to all the flavors on the dish. I thought it was an old fashioned supper club but I guess I was wrong no relish tray. Warm rolls good with a very tasty pretzel after taste. Pizza soup extremely interesting never heard of it before but it takes soup to a whole new level try it youuuu will like it ! The Portabella mushroom appetizer is the perfect platter to blend with the pizza soup! So now for our main course. Saturday night prime rib for my wife very delicious not stringy fork tender better than most Saturday night specials but the twice baked potatoes over cooked dried out and my selection osso buco bone in so tender it falls off the bone before your fork even touches it and so delicious too with mashed potatoes and asparagus definitely the better of the two meals this evening A special thank you to our waitress Lauren this evening for her Exemplary, efficient high quality of service! We had brunch there today and we were disappointed by the food that was offered. The food selection was mediocre and the food wasn't hot....and in some cases cold. They had nothing special like a carving station or made to order omelets like they had before. Desserts looked store bought instead of freshly made by the restaurant. The service was meh. Waitress was not friendly and seemed like we were keeping her from going home. We had a birthday at our table which was mentioned when we made the reservation and when we arrived at the restaurant. I would say the best thing about Copper Dock is the view of the lake from their large windows. With that being said, I will say that the food is not bad. Nothing I ate was bad. It was just alright. For an appetizer we had their escargot. Their escargot is different from any I've ever had before as the snails were completely covered with a thick layer of cheese. Cheese? On escargot? I don't know about that. It tasted ok because I mean who doesn't like cheese. But it was weird and the appetizer would be better as a more classic escargot in my opinion. I had the house salad which was actually very pleasant except for the fact it was TINY. Like it was funny when it came to the table. Like 3 bites tiny. I ordered the prime rib as an entree. On their website they say they have all you can eat prime rib on Saturday's. I went on a Saturday. That was not the case. No all you can eat prime rib, just one slab of (fatty) prime rib for the same price as the all you can eat would've been (according to their online menu). The prime rib was pretty fatty and I left quite a few ounces of fat/surrounding meat on my plate after doing my best to dissect and separate the fat from the meat. The prime rib came with little mushrooms and au jus which was tasty. The meat itself seemed like a decent quality. It wasn't chewy or tough. The twice baked potato was good but salty. We finished our meal with tiramisu which was good but nothing special. Overall it was not amazing, not bad. I don't think I'd make the trip from Brookfield again anytime soon for the food. The worst thing about the experience as a whole is the complete disregard (from every single person in Copper Dock) concerning the COVID-19 pandemic that we are still in (despite the beliefs of some). The staff were all unmasked (did not even bother to grab a mask when my party and I walked in wearing masks). "Staff" includes waitresses, hosts, bartenders, etc. Other customers walking around or standing in some areas of the restaurant also were unmasked without any care. I love to support restaurants in this pandemic who are being responsible and showing care for the health of their patrons and their community. Love the inside of the copper dock. It's been updated and really has a nice rustic feel with a great bar and multiple fireplaces. We started with the onion haystack. Was not impressed, it was more batter than any onions. It looked impressive but didn't taste that great. We ate half. Waitress also commented that it was a lot of nothing but batter. Also ordered the cheese curds. Nothing special and have found other places much better. Our meals were the prime rib, scallops and beef stroganoff. Everyone enjoyed their food. We got the asparagus soup which was delicious and others got a salad. The prime rib, was huge and could have definitely been split with the other person with me. Took home over half of it. Prime rib was good but lacked a little flavor. She never asked how I like my prime rib so it came out very rare. Luckily I'm ok with that but probably would have liked it a little more med rare vs rare. Went early 4 pm for fish fry tonight we had are usuals the breaded cod, perch dinner and one old fashioned. Are bill before tip was $54.76. The salad bar was excellent as always and my old fashion was good. The breaded cod was slight dry. My perch dinner was so dried out that I ate only 1/2 a piece and couldn't eat it. I was going to tell our waitress to have them make me another order, but she came by so fast to check on us that I couldn't get the words out before she was off to another table. When we were finished the waitress asked if we wanted a to go container and I said yes and told her that I was really disappointed with the perch because it was so dry. She asked if I ever had it before and I told her many times. She said she would let the kitchen know. We paid the bill and we left. This is the second time in the last few months that we have been disappointed. Makes me sad because we live down the road and this is are favorite place. My martini and the atmosphere at the bar was dark cozy lakeside luxury with a twist of up north cabin feeling with the dark wood. I loved it. Our beef carpaccio and scallop appetizers were delicious. I would maybe give 4 stars for food only because the steak wasn't the best I've had although good and the mashed potatoes had a strange taste - not hard to make delicious mashed potatoes (I do it all the time), but overall a great experience with overall yummy food and excellent atmosphere. This place was so great! We're from out of state and wanted to try these "Supper Clubs" all the Wisconsinites are taking about. So we headed to Copper Dock to see what all the fuss was about. Our expectations were definitely exceeded! The atmosphere was classy yet comfy. The location is GORGEOUS and there is plenty of seating to enjoy the lake view. The service was phenomenal! So friendly and attentive. And the food was so so good. We chose the traditional Friday night fish fry. The breaded fish was absolutely fantastic. I have been to the all you can eat crab legs a few times but not in a while. It was my mother's birthday and she loves crab legs so decided to take her. We arrived right when they opened at 5:00. The staff greeted us right away and were very friendly. We were seated right away. The restaurant is quaint and was decorated nicely for Christmas. There is a lot of charm. We both ordered the all you can eat crab legs. It comes with soup or salad and a choice of side. I had the warm spinach salad with egg. The spinach was fresh and the dressing was not overly sweet or thick. I ordered the mushroom risotto and the green beans. The mushroom risotto was delicious. It had so much flavor. The crab legs took a little bit to come out but when they were served they were hot and very large crab claws. The crab legs were meaty and fresh. There is also butter to dip with a side of lemon. The butter is over a warmer so it doesn't get cold. Over all it was a wonderful dinner and I highly recommend it. read more

Have been here several times. We are Senior Citizens and notice the clientele is often..but not always also Seniors.. a quiet and calm respectful ambience. We were treating Friends and with tip dropped almost $400.00. Having dined there prior several times I didnt know I had to examine every charge more carefully. The next day upon reviewing the bill I found extra charges for the ginger ale in the Old Fashioneds! Extra charges for the olives in martinis! But no mention of it upon ordering. I called to inquire and was told "the new owner does things that way now." No apologies..no concerns..no offer to make it right. As I mentioned on my call..it wasn't the cost..as much as the deception. There are many other choices of restaurants in the area...who care. Between the service..so bad they apologized three times as I was about to serve ourselves as we saw our orders waiting and waiting... who likes a warm drink? Maybe an extra charge for more ice? Also the light glaring in the faces of diners instead of that new owner showing consideration and installing blinds.. especially as many people were uncomfortable doging sun in their faces...that would have been nice too...but so would professionalism. I was surprised to see that this restaurant was ranked as low as it was. Also to see a handful of ratings claiming the food was bland. This place exceeded my expectations. My boyfriend and I keep a running list of ratings for food at restaurants we visit and this place had some of the highest ratings in our history. Depends not COVID friendly. The place was very full. But the staff were all wearing masks. The interior is very cozy. Had ample parking. Restrooms were clean. Food was SO GOOD. Had tons of flavor. We got the stuffed portobello mushrooms and they were phenom. The relish tray was unlike any supper club I have ever been to. It came with Asian slaw, cole slaw and potato salad. All of which were really good. We also got the clam chowder and it was some of the best I have had in the Midwest. Lastly for dinner we got the chicken cordon blue and French dip and they were both really flavorful and delicious. The mushroom risotto was very good. Servings sizes were great! Between the giant soup, rolls and relish tray we were stuff and only ate half the food. Service was slow at the bar but our server was very nice and friendly and would check in to give us updates when stuff was back up.
