Took my mom here for Mother's Day and it did not disappoint. It has a lovely, bright interior with white table cloths. One important thing to note about seating is that some of the tables are high-top bar tables. I happen to have a disability, so had they assigned our reservation with one of those tables it would have been a problem because it's hard for me to get up and down in those seats. The service was A-1! From the hostesses to the wait staff and management. They were extremely attentive throughout our meal. Instead of just putting the appetizers on the table, our waiter plated them for us. This is probably the only misstep during our meal. He assumed that all of us wanted a piece of each app instead of asking each of us which app we wanted. We ordered stuffed mushrooms and bruschetta. A couple people didn't like mushrooms. Also, we had more people joining us so by plating all the apps upfront there wasn't enough for the rest of our party. Even still he was a great waiter. The food was phenomenal! I got the steak and eggs from the brunch menu. The cut of steak was like a hanger steak. When I say cooked and seasoned to perfection!?! It was one of the best restaurant steaks I've had. We had reservations for a Saturday night and were seated pretty quickly. Our server was attentive at first but the ADHD must have kicked in. Regardless, since it was our first visit we wanted to try cheaper items before trying a steak to see if it's worth coming back. For appetizer we ordered the lamb chops. I had high hopes but they were all fat..worst I've ever had and I have a lot of lamb! We both had pasta dishes. Mine was the orecchiette pasta but it was under done and it was extremely spicey considering the menu did not say that. Had three bites and threw it out. We also had the shrimp Alfredo and the shrimp was way over cooked. Had a fairly disappointing experience here. We had a party of 6 for a birthday and were very excited to try this place out as we've heard great things. After sitting down we felt very pressured to order appetizers right away, with our waiter telling us we could order our appetizers and entrees at the same time and he would pace them out. He came back every two minutes asking us for our order after we had only been there for about 10 minutes and had just gotten our drinks and eventually we just ordered everything. After that he was extremely inattentive, and one of the hostesses actually ended up bringing us more water and bread. He never asked if we wanted more drinks or checked in on how the appetizers were. For the price, the food was very mediocre. We got two steaks and the pictured steak was ordered medium rare and came out very rare. The manager offered a glass of wine to compensate for that but we did not want another glass of wine. For 57 dollars that steak should've been cooked to perfection and another persons steak in our party was also undercooked. The lamb was good as was the filet medallions and chicken Parmesan. The Cobb salad was good but was a little thin on the amount of chicken for the price. They did bring out a birthday dessert, but afterwards came with the check right away, not asking us for drinks or desserts and we had to ask if we could add them to our bill. It was not packed and we were only there for 90 minutes at the time so I'm not sure why we were so rushed. I know that good service is possible here as the waiter at the other tables around us seemed so joyful and interactive and attentive and it truly felt like our waiter was just angry to be at work that day. For a bill around 500 dollars the service and food should be incredible, and because it was so mid to subpar, I don't think there's anything making us want to return. read more

Meal was great, quality of food was great, first time at the restaurant and it definitely was a little tight in the dining area but being valentines day I'm sure they wanted to fit in as many tables as they could... we just happened to be a corner table at the end of the row so the staff would randomly bump into my chair, it happened about 8 times during the course of the dinner so that was annoying, if they tried they could squeeze through without bumping the chair but you could tell when someone tried to not hit the chair and when someone was too much in a rush to slow down and bumped it. Our server was Josh and he was excellent, super friendly and attentive, didn't ever let the drinks or water go empty, asked how the appetizer and meal was and also took the time to talk and explain everything and didn't make it seemed like you were just another table that he was trying to get in and get out. Only thing I found weird about the whole experience is that the waiters had to be the ones who put the food on the table, the bussers could carry the trays and put them down on a tray holder but then couldn't be the ones to put the food on the table, there was some that would just stand around and look lost while looking for any server while the guests stare at their food just a foot away, it was never a long wait but i just found that weird. I had the chillean sea bass that came with a tomatillo salsa on it and also with roasted tomatoes, arugula and an avocado. The wife had orecchiette con broccolini e salsiccia. Both were delicious, I've never had a tomatillo salsa before so that was different but still good. I ended up getting a carrot cake to go and eating the Gelato at the restaurant. The carrot cake was moist and the cream cheese frosting was really good, came with some random berries and the carrot cake also had candied nuts on top. We live closer to Rosebud but were in the area for a reason so we decided to try this sister restaurant. The decor is very nice. Bar and tables in one room and tables in another. Very nice atmosphere. We sat at the bar. There is one large tv in there so he was able to watch the game. Whatever! The bartender was very friendly and she entertained my antics :) The food was very good; I had the delmonico steak with horseradish on the side, he had the cowboy ribeye. Both were cooked to our liking. We shared a side of mac and cheese, it was loaded with cheese but needed salt and pepper-a little garlic would've helped as well. I went here Friday for happy hour and I glad I did. I went for the $1.00 ea oysters as I just became a fan of them. I also had the meatball which came with a red sauce and shaved parmesan then I tried sausage and peppers ( which they cut for you in front of you) such a nice touch A + for that. I also tried the stuff mushrooms, wasn't really a fan because they weren't stuffed with anything just bread crumbs. Everyone was very friendly and inviting. Although I can't remember the bar staff names they were great, so friendly and and engaging. They also stuff their own olives with homemade blue cheese. Food was just not good. Awkward service and not friendly.. not a fan of them plating the appetizers for you, just put the appetizer on the table and bring two plates. Hubby took me here for my birthday. It was our first time year but definitely not our last. The Brick Chicken Vesuvio was enough for 3-4 people. After the bread served with oil and parmesan cheese, bruscetta appetizer and house salad, I barely made a dent in my entree. They offered me a free dessert for my birthday. I chose the carrot cake. Noisy atmosphere with an older crowd, at least it was this evening but staff were all so pleasant and worked so well together. They had a smooth rhythm. Love the ambiance here, such a warm, welcoming spot and this was our second visit. The service has been great both times, attentive and friendly without being overbearing. This time I tried the Orecchiette pasta. It's one of my favorite dishes, but I wasn't impressed with how it was prepared here. The menu listed broccolini, but it seemed to have regular (and possibly frozen) broccoli instead, and the spice level was much higher than expected. Everything else was delicious, the salad was fresh and the caramel apple cheesecake was absolutely to die for. We'll definitely be back, just might try a different entrée next time! read more

We went there for the first time tonight and I was very good. Josh was our waiter and he was excellent. On top of Josh the entire wait staff was superb. Everyone was very attentive and we had several managers stop and ask how things were. The food was excellent. I had the chicken Parmesan and my wife had the eggplant parmesan and we both enjoyed them. The food portions are huge. The place was a little loud but not terrible. Very pleasant surprise. Great service and staff for date night at Coppoillos! Reservations are preferred, yet seating is available at the bar while you wait. The bar area is on the small side and very busy. Perhaps one of the bartenders called off that evening. The restaurant is beautiful. There is ample seating for dining. Even though they were super busy, the attentiveness of the waiter was appreciated. The entire staff is pleasant and welcoming. The food was good. Next time I visit, I want to try more entrees. First time eating here and everything was fantastic! Starting with the house salad, the Italian dressing was out of this world! Had the 10oz filet, Mac & cheese, cheese bread and butter cake. Each dish was amazing, the filet was phenomenal! Our waitress was very attentive and on the ball, anticipated our every need. A fantastic find in NWI and great addition to Crown Point. I had an awesome dining experience trying out the newest restaurant and steakhouse in Crown Point. Typical of any new restaurant opening there were a few hiccups in service with communication between servers and wait time with reservation but that's to be expected. The food was fantastic and I had a great time enjoying the company of my party of 2 while waiting on the food to come out. I saw a comment about the volume of the dining area and can confirm it is indeed LOUD but nothing that's unexpected for a packed restaurant and it did get more on par with a typical restaurant the later it got (9pm-ish). I can see myself going back, love the drinks but wished they had a custom drink menu with crafted beverages - maybe that's to come. I'm looking forward to seeing how it will improve in the months to come. read more

Visited for a pre-holiday dinner after our candlelight service at church. Packed house and seemed like lots of different groups - couples, groups of guys, girls night out, families, everyone really. Food was mostly good with a few misses, I think they're working out kinks still from being brand brand new. Our server Carrie was on it and kept smiling the whole way. We dined here on Tuesday evening. It was not at all busy. The service was excellent. Sarah was our server and she was very attentive. Our martinis were excellent with a slight bit of ice floating in the top. Perfect! I had a veal dish that was outstanding. The best quality veal I have ever had in NW Indiana. I was told they purchase their meats from Linz in Hammond. Outstanding. I highly recommend and plan on visiting again on a Friday or Saturday evening to check out the atmosphere on a busy night. read more

I'd prefer a little darker lighting but that's solely my personal preference, the restaurant was very clean and welcoming. Food quality, excellent! Both the ribeye & salmon were spot on. Prompt, courteous, and numerous, the service was very good. Expensive but I'm also willing to pay for high quality food & service. Our experience warranted it. Been a few times and both were exceptional. The meatball app was delicious. Calamari was subpar - not the worst around. Linguini and Clams was to die for. Pork Chop Marsala is the best entree on the menu. Drinks were great. Server was attentive. Only reason it's 4-stars is because of the calamari and the steak. The food was delicious. My son lived in Italy for a year and he thought it was really good, so the recipes are likely based on Italian tradition. Our server, Josh, was exceptional and the other staff was very helpful. I thought the house salad was tasty. We also had the stuffed mushrooms (yummy). Only downside was that it's very loud inside and it was difficult to hold a conversation, especially with the members of our party that is hard of hearing.
