This place has been a gift to my work neighborhood. I've sent jobs via the online portal, and have been impressed with the turnaround and quality of the work. The other Copymat in the Financial District was really disappointing for lack of better words but we still needed our project to be complete last week as we were in a time crunch but boy did this location pull through! Arthur and Veronica took the directions we gave them and went above and beyond. They were even able to deliver the documents down to our co worker in Oakland! We trusted them to deliver without us being able to see any of it and they were excellent. Our co worker had nothing but amazing things to say about the end result. TL;DR: Overpriced, bad at communication, good quality work. My team needed something printed on the inside of our company cards in black ink, and they charged $2/card for that ink! I asked verbally and twice via email how much it would cost and when my request would be ready by, and never got a reply. When I went in-person to check in on them, the items were ready for pickup, but they hadn't told me that. When I asked again how much it'd cost, the response was "here they are...didn't I send you the invoice?" Nope. I was given a small receipt with no information other than the final price, so I can't gauge if they charged me for a rushed service fee or why on earth it was so expensive. They were busy both times I went in person, but that's no excuse for skipping the basics with customer service. Will only use their services again in an emergency. I freakin love Copymat. They've always come through for me, even when I had my crazy order of 3,000+ letters involving mail merge, tri-folds and stickers. Yeah, it was a messy job, but they completed it flawlessly! And the staff is amazing. Darius always keeps his promises and bends over backward for me. It's too bad Kinko's has so much notoriety that people forget Copymat exists, and that in fact, they have MUCH better prices and fantastic service. I've worked with this particular Copymat a few times and they've impressed me each time. I'm in Marketing, so using a commercial printing service is not typical because their pricing and quality does nto compare. But sometimes (too often, actually), I'm in a huge time crunch and need my marketing pieces produced more quickly than our contract print vendors can deliver. So then there's Copymat :) Recent examples: - Kinkos quoted me $1.33/each for 500 two-sided color flyers. Copymat quoted $0.77/each - AND they delivered it to my office SAME DAY. - Kinkos quoted me $2.75/each for 300 4-page color brochures. Copymat quoted $1.88 Looking back at previous quotes, Copymat always comes in at about 25-50% lower. They have excellent customer service (thanks Don and Darius!) and they respond to my emails within hours, sometimes minutes. They offer complimentary proofs which is helpful when I'm unsure about which paper stock to use. AND, it's extremely helpful that they deliver the proofs, and the final print order, directly to my office - sometimes the same day as I put in the order. It saves me the trip and the time. Kinko's doesn't offer that. Their print quality is comparable to Kinko's, and I'm happy with the selection of paper and cover stock they offer. Thanks Copymat! Needed 65 pages of regulations laminated, and these folks did it in less than 24 hours and offered to deliver and bill us for it. I've been using their services for 5 years now, and every time I have requested a quote, they always quote me less with a faster turn around time than the competition. My most recent order was a rush job, and then the client added a second document they wanted printed...at 7pm. For a delivery that was being picked up by a courier the next morning at 9am. I used to do bicycle messenging and many times had to pick up/drop off print pieces to and from places like Copymat and Stinko's. The folks at Copymat have always been pretty cool and professional whereas the employees at Kinko's have been extremely rude and very difficult to work with. I'd be the only person standing at the counter for 10 minutes waiting for nimrod at Kinko's to even give me the time of day and then he/she never had the care to search for a package that my client had phoned in and confirmed was ready. What would normally take 5 minutes to take care of suddenly turned into a 30 minute hassle getting on the phone with my client and having them talk to the idiots at Kinko's, all the while I'm losing money cause I'm not able to do other deliveries. Never had any issues at Copymat. They always came through. Let Us Copy is also great. They're down at 255 California. I wish Copymat had a store closer to the mission. I do print work myself and sometimes need a quick inexpensive run of copies. It's just not convenient for me to get down to the financial since I don't work down there anymore. read more

The doorway was a little strange (blocked with boxes and not clearly marked), but oh my gosh this place did a darn fast digitization job exactly how I asked for it. They're like the opposite of Kinkos. Copymat is fast, affordable and "yes we can" attitude. They easily could have ignored me because I'm just a consumer with a small job, not a huge printing job, but nope -they gave me full attention. Super responsive, followed-up, made everything easy. These guys are Amazing! I use their services on a weekly bases for work. Several times I have called them up with a last minute rush order and they have never let me down. So reliable and consistent. I've mostly worked with Don and Darius who are both so awesome. Just yesterday I called them up with a rush order for a 5ft x 7ft board that I needed a day later for an event. They took the time to listen to me as I described what the board is being used for. I had the pleasure of meeting Zach who came by my office with material samples so that I could decide what to use. He came back later on to see where the board was being installed so they could choose the best way to hang it. Then they delivered it to me today on time as promised AND they even set it up so I didn't have to worry about it. It looks great and I could not be happier. Top notch customer service.
