Beautiful modern restaurant with friendly and accommodating staff. The food was delicious, and the cocktails ALMOST too pretty to drink! There's street parking but also a parking lot in the back. There's also an outdoor patio for warmer months, and I am told this place gets busy for brunch. There's also a DJ booth.

We got here at 6pm. We were promptly seated and our drink and dinner orders taken. Our drinks came out 45 minutes later. We then waited another 35 for our dinner. The place wasn't crowded so it didnt make sense to me. The food was good. The ambiance was just OK. No music just the TV on. I enjoyed the food and had an OK time. To be honest I'm a bit disappointed. I expected better serviice.

A fantastic new spot with a warm and welcoming team--the hostess, manager, and waitstaff were all on point, making sure we had everything we needed. We tried every appetizer on the menu and enjoyed plenty of drinks, all of which were excellent. The atmosphere was lively and had a club-like energy, especially with live music on Fridays. The place was packed! The open, spacious dining area is perfect for large parties, and the long, well-designed bar offers plenty of seating. Definitely a great place to check out!

Food menu is Caribbean Puerto Ricans and Dominican's love it. The brunch are good but lacked have to make reservations and don't make it late because you will wait.

This is a modern, fresh take on Latin cuisine in Whitestone, Queens. It has an attractive bar with seating, well stocked and with an innovative mixologist (see some of the photos!) The margaritas and mojitos were very good, and the specialty cocktails (Santeria and Purple Rain) were as refreshing as they were beautiful. Our server Alma was an absolute delight and helped us get a good cross-section of their offerings. We started with bacalaitos en el aire (codfish fritters - awesome!) and, interestingly, Asian chicken dumplings (delicious but very small portion). Our mains consisted of Habana chicken (marinated half chicken with rice, beans and maduros) and Peruvian Lomo Saltado (steak sauteed with onions, peppers and Latin spices served with rice and fries). Both dishes were tender, juicy with loads of exotic flavor. We finished with the passion fruit cheese cake, which is a nice change from the standard dessert offerings around town. We had a great time there, and are looking forward to going back again soon.

Went on a Saturday night and the house was packed. Great vibes with live music. A bit loud, so don't expect to have a conversation, but definitely enjoyed ourselves. The food is delicious and really big portions. None of us were able to finish the food on our plates. The drinks are just as equally delicious. Come prepared to spend. - but overall great place and great service.

A four star that's inches from a five. The location is good, parking is easy, the place looks beautiful. The service was great, we had Anthony and he had a great vibe with attention to his job! We went around 4 where we got to enjoy the restaurant without the place being full. We had great music and quick service as a result. The drinks. Yes. Just yes. They are perfection. Coquito blu is top notch but the my didn't miss with the Blu Paloma or the Tu Sueños cocktail. The good food is great food. Not everything was to my taste so we venture a bit into the negatives. Highly recommend the Pioninos Rellenos, the Grilled salmon is good but the coconut rice is the star of the show. If you came hungry, DEFINITELY get the Lechoncito Boricua and thank me later. I'll wait... The Nutella Tres Leche dessert will have you floating in the air on cloud 9. Other than the added gratuity for drinks above $50 (kind of hidden but understandable) and the few items I wasn't a huge fan of (skip the salads), there's no way you DONT come back. This is a new staple for me for sure!

First time trying this place- went with a large group. The DJ & musics was great. The place was full and jumping but not overly crowded. The food was actually pretty tasty as were the cocktails. I think it's a great value for Brunch. While the service is sweet and attentive, it is SLOW. We allotted 2 hours for our Brunch and entrees weren't out in that time. We did have apps and drinks. We had a group of 17. Those that were able to stay enjoyed a good meal. The apps and drink were more liked than the entrees however.

Beautiful restaurant BUT slow service. I was here on a Sunday for brunch. The place is gorgeous with a great DJ and music. Food took a long time. But was delicious. There were a lot of birthday parties, and probably not enough staff. Sometimes one or two people did not get food with the rest of the group. Management-improve your service, and you will have a great restaurant.

First of all the place is beautiful. A recent remodel was done tastefully and still warm and cozy. Our server was a sweetheart and attentive. The background music of classic salsa was enjoyable and at the right volume where you could still talk to your dinner companions without having to raise your voice. The drinks were great. Espresso martini, coquito blu and jardín de rosa were excellent. The food came out hot and delicious. We had piononos and bacalaitos as appetizers. Our main dishes were Peruvian style Lomo Saltado, churrasco al carbón and bistec encebollado. Everything was well seasoned and plentiful that we had to pack to take home. For dessert we had coffee and coconut flan. This was an enjoyable meal all around.

The inside is absolutely beautiful and while they have tables, they also have more traditional floor seating. We got a couple bites of food to eat, some of their tea, and some cocktails. Their food was very mediocre, at best. While the persimmon cake SEEMED to be made in house, it was very clear that everything off their food menu required minimal preparation (ie. for the dumplings, it was just har cow). I also thought their cocktails were okay, and out of the three we got, none stood out to me. I did enjoy their tea, however. But, it was also fairly expensive for what it was (~$50). Overall, I thought this spot was okay for the price and I'm not sure I would return.

We came with a fairly large group and ordered several teas and snacks to share amongst us. There were several options for the flavors of tea and each one had different benefits as well. I loved all of them, particularly the fruitier ones. As for snacks, we had this fried taro snack that had a crispy biscuit outer layer that was delicious. It was a bit of a sweet & savory mix, but not strong in either sweet or salty flavors. There was also this persimmon snack that was filled with nuts and other things. It was slightly sweet, very unique, and both paired well as a tea time snack. They're also open until 11:30pm! So if you want to skip the bar, I'd recommend checking out this tea spot for a nice hang out.

It was three oysters, similar to Crown Shy except I wasn't a huge fan of the flavoring here. The nigiri sauce didn't really elevate the flavor of the oysters much as they're already a slightly salty food and a soy sauce sort of just added more salt to it. I think a bit more kick was needed to enhance the flavor profile. The handroll set was pretty good, I liked the spicy tuna the best, then the salmon and then the yellowtail the least. In order, I'd probably give the spicy tuna a 9/10, salmon 8/10 and yellowtail 7/10. However, the tiramisu was fantastic, one of the best tiramisus I have had, creamy, good notes of coffee flavor and wasn't overly sweet. Our server was also very friendly, she showed us how to properly eat the handrolls which was nice. The place also has a nice vibe to it, very relaxing and not too loud or overly grand.

The real star of the night was Joyce behind the bar. She's the kind of bartender who instantly makes you feel welcome, like you've been a regular for years even if it's your first visit. She knows her drinks, makes amazing recommendations, and somehow keeps the energy fun and relaxed even when the bar gets busy. You can tell she genuinely cares about people having a good experience, and that kind of service is rare. Her gin and tonic was perfectly balanced -- crisp, refreshing, and honestly one of the best I've had. And the green tea shots? Dangerous in the best way possible. Smooth, flavorful, and way too easy to keep ordering because they go down so well. Joyce makes them with consistency and a little extra flair that makes the whole experience feel special. Food-wise, I highly recommend the pork dumplings -- flavorful, perfectly cooked, and the ideal pairing with drinks. Everything just worked together: great food, great drinks, and even better hospitality. Joyce truly elevates the entire atmosphere at Firefly, turning a normal night out into something memorable.
