We had our son's rehearsal dinner here last week. 50 people from all over the country. We reserved the Beach Bar and it was, in a word, AMAZING. I was in contact with Amy for a few months leading up to the date, and she was so easy and pleasant to work with. Hardest working woman in the business! Noah and Carolina were our bartenders and they were fantastic! They helped keep our party private and were super fun to work with. Carrie was on food duty and she was so thoughtful to box up the leftovers for guests to take home easily. Michigan summer weather can be tricky but we absolutely lucked out. The venue right next to the boats and docks was so lovely; we could not have asked for a better summer evening. Overall, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Coral Gables for your next party! Had such a fun experience eating and getting drinks at Coral Gables! It was busy on a Saturday but luckily they had seating available still outside since they have a huge outdoor space. There was live music playing which made the vibe lively and fun. They accommodated for a lot of large groups there, saw quite a few bachelorette groups. Our server was really sweet and our food was really good as well. The crab ragoon was so creamy on the inside and perfectly fried on the outside. The fish and chips was served super hot and the fries are pub style. The hot chicken sandwich was also so fresh and crispy with the perfect amount of heat. Definitely worth stopping by, they are open late and also have The Annex- another late open bar. Atopt of it which was one of the most fun piano bars. read more

Food is always great! Service is always 2nd to none! Ambiance is nostalgic, right on the river at the marina it doesn't get any better than that! We tell all of our friends that go to Saugatuck to make sure they don't get sucked into the hype of all of the trendy places in town, they will not regret it if they go to Coral Gables, and we have steered at least 30 people that way and they have all agreed everything was great! Even the couple we dined with yesterday the 20th of July, wanted to go to the "Butler", been there done that and it is overpriced and not consistent, always new staff new cooks etc. Brought them to Coral Gables and they are now hooked as well! The inside is old and dark....you can see the water through very dirty windows. We wandered over because the Butler had an hour wait and we got right in here....which should've been a red flag. The portions are small but have a large price tag. We ordered the calamari, which was cold and tiny portion. The wedge salad was just some lettuce, not a wedge, with a few tomatoes, onions and blue cheese for $14. Not worth it. Next time we wait the hour for Butler. The server brought the check and asked about dessert while we were all still eating which was annoying. We heard another table comment on that as well. read more

This place is as subpar as they come. The only cool aspect is the location. I got the Burger & it was so disappointingly bland, I ended up dunking it in ketchup to save it. My two friends both ordered Chicken Caesar Wraps & it turns out they were out of Caesar dressing (nbd). BUT instead of informing us the waitress served them up dry anyway. My 3rd friend got carded for a beer & they accused him of having a fake ID. He was so embarrassed about them being loudly unprofessional, he decided not to eat or drink anything & he still got charged for the beer lol He did himself a favor in this case b/c the food wasn't worth half of what we paid for it any way. Coral Gables is a fun spot to enjoy a meal or some entertainment. There are actually multiple restaurants and bars housed in the Coral Gables complex. A group of six of us stopped in for lunch recently and sat on the upstairs deck which was lovely. We were seated at two round tables pushed together which didn't make for the best conversation flow, but we enjoyed the nice weather and atmosphere. Our server was awesome - super kind and helpful with suggestions and on top of service. I ordered the BLT & T wrap with fries, which was pretty tasty. The lettuce was fresh and crisp, and I liked the accompanying cup of ranch. It was also a large portion- I ended up eating the whole thing since were were walking around afterwards and I didn't want to have to carry my leftovers. I was super full! The menu is pretty basic but it did the trick. It was fun hearing some of the bands at night playing here while we were walking around the area. We had a weekend getaway that made us feel free and safe! We went to Sagautuck, MI and had the best time. We still wore our masks to and from the table (ofc)- but we then were in the sand and breathing the beautiful fresh air of Lake Michigan! The waitress was awesome! We each got a very delicious burger (see photo) and fries! The burger was meaty, moist and so juicy and tasty! We took some photos and put our feet in the sand! I'd like to add that we felt entirely safe here because the staff was wearing masks and gloves and they had a little table set up out on the side near the entrance. A person at this table was checking who went in and who came out! They did everything great and the food tasted awesome on top of all that! We have visited Saugatuck for the past four years, but usually avoided this place due to the negative reviews about the food, service, and dated/dirty decor. We've been coming here for years and it's always a good time. They have a section inside that has dancing at night and comedy. There is a large outdoor deck that is right on the channel with and outdoor tiki bar and outdoor music. They also have an inside restaurant. We have come here before just for drinks and hanging outside with the live music. Most recently we went for a friends birthday on a Saturday. We had 12 people and they accommodated us witching about 40 minutes. We had the best waitress, Amy, who was fun and knowledgeable and knew how to tangle our large group. For apps we got the pepperchini dip, pretzels, coconut shrimp, and crab cakes. Everything was amazing. For dinner I got the carbonara and my husband got the meat hook pizza. Everything was pretty delish and came out rather quick even though they were serving a large party along with a packed house. Came here around 1:00pm on Labor Day, and it was super nice vibes honestly. Sitting by the water at the outside bar with live music... who could complain? It was super chill vibes. I definitely would recommend the coconut shrimp - SO good. I looooved the sauce as well. My friends had the shrimp wrap and said that was really good and would get that again. Needed a table for 11 and was told it was a 30 minute wait. We ended up waiting over an hour for a table. I could understand if it took a while to clear a table or make room, but when we walked in there were over 20 empty tables in this restaurant. This restaurant was like a ghost town at 1:30pm on a Monday. The silverware took a long time to get to our table because they had to still be cleaned. Waited about 10 minutes to get a cup of water as well. I could see multiple staff on their phones during service time and multiple cleaning products where left out and about. We were seated next to the kitchen where we could hear staff cursing and arguing in the back easily. The food was a 6/10. But the menu was outdated. The physical menu would say salmon seasoned. Yet it doesn't tell you it comes with Brussels sprouts and potato's. It does on the virtual menu. The salmon was also very small, which for $21 was not worth it. The location was nice but the restaurant is old and dirty. We ordered drinks and they were out of milk for my kid. No big deal. We ordered our meals and our salads took forever- they came out about 3 minutes before our meals. My husband had perch basket- it was small and had more than an ok number of bones. MIL had a burger she only took a couple bites and said it was dry. My FIL had a fish sandwich and said it tasted off. I ordered the chicken Marsala and had food poisoning the next day. The Demi glace tasted lukewarm so I suspect that's what made me so sick. It was horrible being sick a whole day while on vacation. The location is great but deserves a new restaurant. read more

Location, location, location! Coral Gables has a great outdoor patio right on the water and you can watch the boats go by along with all the other action in the channel. My family and I came here for lunch one day and drinks another night while on vacation in Saugatuck for the week. They offer a nice sized food and drink menu and seem to have fun stuff going on every weekend - things like a Kid Rock impersonator, karaoke, and comedy. Service was friendly, but a tad slow. However, I kind of chalked that up to the fact that we had a group of 14. Like I mentioned, the upstairs and downstairs patios are great. The inside of each level is pretty average and it can be a bit confusing because there are like three different restaurants in one. I enjoyed a Bloody Mary with my lunch and the mix was really good. They even let my husband try it ahead of time before ordering. I had some wine the other night we stopped in and let me say, the options are slim. They also don't have champagne, so no prosecco parties for me. The food was average but not bad! My husband and I split their BLT wrap and chips (which they are able to make into abnormal BLT sandwich), and the onion ring tower as well. It had been a while since I indulged in onion rings, but I have to say these hit the spot! The chipotle avocado ranch was a nice touch.
