Pretty great homey breakfast location. We came by after leaving our camping spot in Weaverville and we're glad we did. The hostesses were extremely nice and the food was decent. I feel like you definitely get what you pay for in service more-so than anything else. I'm pretty sure I was topped off on coffee more here than in any other diner in my time. The food was good, and for the price, you can't get better. The only gripe was that the hashbrown were not cripsy (personal preference), and the gravy was mostly peppery tasting. Next time I'm in Redding and need a quick fix to eat for breakfast I'm heading right here. read more

My girlfriend and I have been frequently visiting this restaurant lately for many reasons. Each time we go we find ourselves getting something new, their menu has a nice variety of very well put together and prepared food items. We always see something else that catches our eye. Other than the amazing food it's the super friendly and caring staff. Everyone seems so genuine and always checks up on us while we enjoy our meals. Each waitress we've had always has a smile on their face and something nice to say or talk about. Not only are the staff enjoyable but even the patrons themselves are very pleasant. Everyone seems to be talking, eating and enjoying their time together, we couldn't have asked for a better environment to eat in. I will always recommend Corbett's to all my friends and family and will continue to enjoy what they have to offer! read more

I've heard for a while now that Corbett's is a good place to eat, but haven't had a chance to try them until this morning. I must agree. I'm not a breakfast-type, but my wife is - and this is now our new 1st choice for breakfast (despite that we actually had lunch today.) Nice atmosphere and pleasing aesthetics (seems impossible to find for a breakfast place) makes a safe bet for a new breakfast favorite based on the positive experience with lunch today. As for the food we did actually have today for lunch - it was delicious. I had a BLTCA (The 'c' appearantly goes with the 'a' and the combined 'ca' stands for 'california'... which essentially just means it has avocado) and I kind of wish I'd been more adventurous after I tried my wife's hot turkey sandwich. Both were good though, and I'm finishing off the bltca at work right now. Ingredients seemed fresh, and the cooking wasn't drenched in oil - it contained enough not to sacrifice taste though. Service was above average and everyone was friendly. I never needed a refill, so I'm not sure how fast response would have been on that. Food and drinks were all out quickly as was the bill. We're looking forward to going back some time. read more

We have enjoyed the food here for years. Unfortunately, two days ago I ordered their traditional roast turkey for lunch. The turkey was in pieces, dryer than normal, (usually they give nice size moist slices) the mashed potatoes were reheated and lumpy, truly inedible. Not enough gravy at all. The vegetables were flavorless. The worst part was that this meal was served barely warm. I should've sent it back but I wanted to eat with my friends. My lunch buddies thought their French Dip was so so...skimpy on meat when comparing from precious years. Guessing they have a different cook? We will give Corbetts another chance but I recommend staying with breakfast food only! The waitresses are lovely, always a pleasure to see them. read more

I haven't been here in a while but thought it important to support a local business. We were the only ones there at first. My wife ordered a glass of milk and they brought out clearly rancid milk. The restaurant replaced it with orange juice and a scant apology, while still charging us for the juice. The pancakes were rubbery and the portions were scarce. We left hungry, disappointed, and feeling like we overpaid for less than mediocre food. read more

Wow! My wife and I are traveling from cold, cold Corvallis at Christmas time to cold Modesto. So we stopped in Redding for the night and woke up famished. We Yelped and found this place. We were greeted warmly (how rare that is and always a good sign), seated quickly and coffeed up on a COLD morning. What could be better? I ordered the Vegetable Scramble with potatoes and a biscuit plus unending coffee. See my photo. Outstanding!!! Great veggies, a little ham, a little cheese, a very little oil in the cooking. Flavorishus. The potatoes were cut broader than usual and were thus were not fried hard. There were soft and flavorful. And the biscuit was very good, too. So, what is my take? I ordered a "chorizo" scramble and if that really was chorizo it's not anything I've ever had before. Basically no taste. Uninspiring hash browns. Biscuit was ok. Absolutely a phenominal place. Veggie scramble was delicious. Full of flavor. And the toasted croissant with strawberries, i am coming back from Sacramento for. This is my favorite breakfast spot in town. The country breakfast is very hearty and the ladies there are very friendly.

I've called at the number listed with no luck in getting hold of someone. Would be very appreciate if their prices were listed and with the understanding that changes are subject without notice is fine. I'd like to plan for budgeting reason. We have a lager family with kids. I also don't agree about the added fee for splits checks. Seems odd to run into those statement in our day and age. read more

Came for brunch with 4 others. My sandwich had to be returned because they made it wrong. One of the diners wasn't very hungry so she just ordered coffee and a side of toast. Oh my God. $4.29 for a couple of pieces of toast. Her bill came to $7.49 with the coffee. Outrageous and unacceptable. Asked the owner who was walking by out table why so much for toast and she acted like she was just a waitress and tried to explain that "they" charge for dishwashing and other items when charging for the toast. Best breakfast for many miles in any direction. Dynamite burgers if you want lunch. BLTA crossant is a real treat as well. If you like soup, ask about soup of the day. The Navy Bean and Split Pea soups are very good. If you go there on Friday, you will find the best clam chowder around. Corbetts has a great wine selection that is much, much more reasonably priced than that sold in other restaurants. Most restaurants charge 150% 10 200% of retail. Corbetts charges something like 10%-20% over wholesale. Their license allows them to sell it by the glass for consumption there or by the bottle to take with you. read more

I was taken to Corbett's by being highly rated on Redding Restaurant Reviews so I took my significant other to have breakfast there. & my oh my we were both really impressed. When we first walked in it was like meh. But when we received our food it was the best breakfast we have had in a long time. My fiancé isn't much of a foodie as I am and he couldn't stop chatting about their food the rest of the day. We had omelets I can't remember the name but it had an enchilada sauce. Looking for a breakfast joint in Redding close to the elks where my wife and I stayed in the motor home. Saw Corbett's on yelp and it had mostly good reviews but one person really blasted the service and food. Well I'm here to tell you the lobster Benedict was outstanding fresh ingredients eggs cooked perfectly and there is no question the hollandaise was fresh and scratch made. This place was mediocre. I thought just maybe Redding at a decent place to eat breakfast. But it took the server at 20 minutes to take our order and at that point I was wondering if I should pay my coffee and go. I saw the female owner was going around pouring coffee, and figured I would tell her my order before the server came back. But the server came back just before the owner did. This is a quaint place. Good oh American diner with a twist. I had the chicken fried steak. Steak was tender but the gravy tastes like it came from a can. My husband and I went to Corbett's this morning for breakfast. Neither of us ordered anything complicated or different than advertised on their menu. In my husband's case his eggs were over-cooked. In my case my "scramble" was anything but. It was a dark brown over-cooked hockey puck and my hash browns were completely raw. When the waitress asked if our meals were alright I said I would be sending mine back and showed her the problem. She took the plate and never once offered to fix it or bring me something else. I was nibbling on the only thing left which was the biscuit from my order and she took that away! And she never did ask if I wanted something else. My husband had finished his meal. She did remove my order from the check which of course she would do, but I never got any breakfast. The last few times we have been here the service and food has not been as good as it used to be. It seems that the only time food and service can be relied upon at Corbett's is when the owner is there. She was not there today nor was she the last few times we have been in. I suppose it is time to find another spot for a good breakfast. UPDATE! as of three minutes ago. No wonder Corbett's isn't what it used to be...the original owners have sold the restaurant and there are new owners. The new owners own the gas station next door. I think they should stick with their day job and get out of the restaurant business. read more

If you like food that's not spicy or flavorful, this restaurant is for you. Got the chorizo scramble that was more of a sausage scramble as their was no taste of chorizo. The food was spectacular! But I went during the afternoon on a Sunday and service was very slow. We had 3 different servers during our time who rarely checked on us. The tables are extremely close together and the old people sitting next to us were loudly complaining which made it hard to enjoy good food and conversation.
