I have had nothing but issues with Corbin since we started the process of installing a Generac. To not filling out the proper paperwork for permits to following up on inspections, etc. We started this process in February and it is now July 1st and still do not have a functioning Generac. When the meter failed inspection the first time they just blew it off and said oh we will take care of that. Needed the Generac on Saturday when power went out and guess what it just sucked all the gas out of all the appliances in the house and cut out! Pay all this money for a generator and still does not work. Just spent my time on the phone with the gas company because Corbin says not their problem. Apparently they did not fill out all the proper paperwork to make sure the lines were proper. Now have to wait on the gas company to come back out and inspect the lines to see what is going on. Corbin was suppose to simulate a power outage when they installed it and supposedly everything worked properly, obviously that is not the case! I would not recommend this company to anyone Update: Corbin rectified the situation. Turned out to be the flow of gas from the street level which the gas company corrected and Corbin came back out and made sure everything was corrected and working properly. They were very attentive and made sure it stayed working after several minutes. read more

i called Corbin for service in August after hurricane Isaias. I couldn't get a human on the phone so I left a message . About a month later, after not getting a call back, I called again. Same exercise. Corbin finally called me in October to ask if I wished to renew my contract. I asked why they never returned my calls for service. They told me they received thousands of calls after Isaias and their policiy is to only respond to calls received from the phone number they have on file. Say what! A word to the wise, stay away from Corbin. read more

Called and specifically scheduled an 8am appointment. Waited around until 8:45am and no one showed. I called their office only to be told that I had a 9am appointment and they couldn't even guarantee anyone would be here at 9am. Zero accountability trying to blame me for their incompetence. I don't do business with a company that can't even properly schedule an estimate appointment. Save your time and money, there's plenty of other good electricians around. I had a pool installed in the summer and Corbin was the subcontractor for Anthony Sylvan pools. During the work being done in my yard my Driveway lights went out. I assumed it was a wire that got cut during construction so I called Corbin to repair my driveway pier lights. First step was to send a troubleshooter to access the situation. Cost was $155. Next I needed to make another appointment fdor repair (2 weeks out). Cost $337. One month later all of my outside lights blewout. I called a local electricial who came immediately and said that thew Pier lights were wired incorrectly and caused the fuse to blow. Cost $150. Whenever there is a problem, they are always able to come and check out any "issues" I have had. I have used them to put in my attic fan, upgrade my lighting throughout my house, and install and service my generator. Speaking of which, I was always going to use Corbin for my whole house generator, but did my 3 quotes as I always do. Run don't walk away from this horrific company. We had a whole house gas generator installed by this terrible company a few years ago. They installed the generator so that the exhaust faced an open grate leading into our basement. With the recent power outage, the generator ran for much longer than it had previously. At 3:30 AM our carbon monoxide detector went off. The levels of carbon monoxide in our home where at such a dangerously high level(according to the meter that the fire department used), that if we did not have a carbon monoxide alarm in our home my entire family would have died. When we informed Corbin about the fact that they almost killed my family, to say that they were less than concerned would be an understatement. When they did come to "correctly" re-install the generator, they left a giant hole in my lawn where the generator previously was. When I asked them when they would be back to repair the damage to my lawn, they said it's my problem to repair because they re-installed the generator for free. WOW, that was so nice of them after they almost KILLED my family. I am begging ALL Monmouth County residents to stay as far away as possible from this HORRIBLE company. read more

Be very careful doing business with this company. They are taking advantage of customers do to the recent storms in NJ. My generator was in need of repair so I contacted them and was quoted 100.00 to come out and 95.00 per hour to repair my Generac generator. When the tech arrived he tested a couple things told me it needs ignition coils. I told him to fix it and he said he had the parts but not the time to fix it today. Than I was told I owed him 195.00 plus tax for his visit . He was at my house for 15 minutes but I had to pay the full hour. Company policy.....he told me the office would call with a repair price and to inform them I already paid 209.00 and they would apply that to the repair since he was unable to repair it today. When the woman from Corbin called me I was informed that the repairs would be 700.00 and the 209.00 I already paid would not be applied. I told her to forget it. I always play dumb when I call service company's but the truth is I was a automotive parts manager for a multi line dealership for 25 years. I knew I was be ripped off. To sum it up I found the parts on line for 110.00 not the 271.00 I was quoted and it took me 1.5 hours to repair not the 3 I was quoted. So customer beware these people are crooks in every sense of the word. read more
