Corbos excels in fast, friendly, accurate service & offers a wide array of traditional deli goods. These type of joints are few and far between these days & that's too bad. I cut my teeth in Italian delis in the 1970's slinging sandwiches, making sausage & mozzarella so these joints hold a warm spot in my heart. And Corbos does it well. The flavors are generally good yet they cut corners with some of the cold cuts and use the cheap stuff. Some may not notice but I do. I understand the economics of food business, I owned two Manhattan restaurants for 20 years. What I learned there as owner & chef is people notice when you "cheap out". It's never worth it to offer lesser quality goods people do notice. So charge what you need to & get the better brands. You never loose in business when you give the customer your best. read more

Never coming here (Corbo's Deli) again. They are so ridiculously rude and have major attitude issues. I asked for an Italian combo on a roll like I've been ordering for over a decade, and they made it on a wedge. I told them I asked for a roll and the man at the counter asked if I wanted the wedge, I said no. He said he would charge me for a roll, I said no the bread is different and I wanted it on a roll, it's not about the price. He then proceeded to tell me it's the same kind of bread and get very angry clearly at the fact that his staff messed up and he lost profits on one sandwich. Greed and Wrath are deadly sins. Truly, one of the great delis in Fairfield County. The chicken chicken sandwich or meatball parma are amazing.

Only one person is working the register/preparing the food even though there were five people inside. Seriously? If I place an order over the phone, I expect to be in and out of the place in under a minute. I had to wait 10 minutes as someone prepared the lady's sandwiches in front of me just to pay for my now cold roll. I miss OG Corbo's, won't be coming back to this one any time soon. We order lunches for approx. 12 people for our office . They are located behind us on West Putnam Avenue , Greenwich CT. I called in an order today for sandwiches . I specifically told the woman who took my order that it had to be delivered to us no later than 12 noon !! She said fine no problem ! Well here we sit 12:30 and no lunch !! I tried calling her at 12:15 and she said," the lunch is still sitting there & no delivery guy to deliver" !! Well that happened twice allready !!! I tried calling and guess what .... they took the phone off the hook !!! surprise surprise !!1 wth !!! We will not be ordering lunch from there going forward. So sorry guys ! You know what? I saw the review another customer posted about it being 'unprofessional' or relaxed in here...almost like a tailgate party. It's not offensive at all- its so funny and laid back...they joke around with you and make lunch FUN. That cook(Ricky?)in the bandana especially...he should be a stand up comedian! I'm a fan of the OG Corbo's so tried this location as I was on the other side of town. The place was over crowded including people sitting behind the register. Because it was busy and only one person taking orders and cooking, I decided on an easy order, turkey & American cheese. I was asked twice to repeat my order and then when I got to my destination I was disappointed that there was no cheese on my sandwich. I'm not going back. read more

I've had sandwiches here before and they're good, not great. Had my first breakfast sandwich from them this morning I got a ham, egg and cheese on a roll. It was $4.50 for one fried egg, one slice of ham and one slice of cheese with on a roll. Overpriced. I'd expect two eggs and several slices of ham. read more

The food is very good, I mean its hard to make a bad breakfast sandwhich...but I dont think being rude to the customer is supposed to come as a side. I come in, make a simple order, and I was met with some sort of confusion and attitude on top of it. They werent sure what I meant with my order, which I may not have been clear about, but instead of politely asking me to explain more clearly they started getting irritated and made fun of me behind the counter...and in front of another customer as well. Talking to and about me like I'm twelve years old... Long story short, their regulars are greeted with smiles and friendly jabber but anyone who they just dont like at first glance is disrespected. The food is good, standard deli fare, but great ingredients and overall quality. Never had an issue there. My problem is with the atmosphere. If you aren't a regular, you won't feel comfortable here--the employees are focused on joking around with the people they know and each other (often using profanity/vulgarities). If you're not a regular, you're treated like you're intruding uninvited on someone's tailgate. (How they intend to attract new regulars is unclear.) Expect to overhear intimate details of the dating lives of the people handling your food. While they're close to my office and the food is good, I rarely go here anymore for this specific reason. I'd rather pay a bit more and get a similar-quality lunch in a professional environment where the employees don't act like they're at a family barbecue. read more

Clean Deli with wide variety of sandwiches and hot meals made daily. My sandwich was good on my first visit, hot pastrami on toasted rye with coleslaw and Russian dressing and Swiss. My second visit I had the same but was not prepared quite as well. Both sandwiches have less meat than I would prefer and given that the prices are out of balance with the product put forth. Employees have an unwelcoming edge sometimes seen where establishments have an excellent product and feel as though they are doing you a favor. read more

I can't believe some of these reviews. It is refreshing to have a nice down to earth deli in Greenwich where they treat everyone like a friend and joke around with each other. We have way too many stuffy overpriced deli's in town and I would suggest to the people who complain about Richie tossing out sandwiches to take their suits to another deli that will charge you twice as much for less quality food. Apparently they can't even get the coffee right We came by today for the first time after driving by this place often. Cramped, tiny, awkward, nowhere to sit inside or out is an immediate turn off. I got a bacon egg and cheese and she got a sausage egg and cheese. The breakfast sandwiches were good, especially for the price. Perhaps if that's all I wanted this place would get 4 stars although I found the menu to be less than Ideal. I guess if you know the people who run the place then whatever. Can I get the breakfast on a wrap? An english muffin? A bagel? I just thought this was odd that breakfast sandwich was not even listed on the menu. Perhaps the menu could specify how you'd like the sandwich? I got a coffee. I did not specify anything extra since I am so used to just adding milk since I always go to the olive branch so the lady at the counter asked if I just meant I wanted it black. I specified that I would like whole milk only. Apparently I either got a ton of sugar + milk or I got condensed milk. Honestly it tasted like condensed milk. WTF? Either the joke on me was not funny or maybe she needs to go back to school for English. I don't know which nor do I care. Perhaps I will come here again some time and give it another chance but I gotta say there is nothing more infuriating in terms of breakfast than driving down the road in the morning and sipping a coffee that is loaded full of more sugar than a coke when you expect it to be a coffee+ milk. I guess if you don't drink coffee you wouldn't understand. I am often very gentle on my yelp reviews but messing up coffee this bad... you might as well have thrown a brillo pad into the sandwich. Customer service was also at least somewhat unprofessional. "What do you want" could be "how can I help you?" or "what can I get for you?" This this is customer service 101. read more

I ordered a chicken caesar wrap from here on 1/4/16 and I couldn't be less impressed. They used shredded lettuce instead of romaine, the chicken was mediocre, and it was the sloppiest wrap I've ever seen. I couldn't pick it up and I had to eat it with a fork. My colleagues have ordered from them in the past and I will encourage them to order for a better local deli in the area. Disappointed for trying to support a local restaurant. read more
