Inside was full, so my friend and I opted to sit outside. The weather was nice, so the seating was fitting. At first we were disappointed, because the smoke was slapping us in the face. We complained, were quickly moved. They then made sure the smoke was facing a different direction. I can't remember the name of the cocktail we ordered, but I believe it had the word smoke in it. It gave the perfect amount of punch! I'm usually a straight up drinker, and not a fan of mixed drinks. I was impressed. We each ordered the lobster roll. It was satisfying, but not the best lobster roll we've had. It came off more as a crab salad in a bun. Note that it's served cold. Together we enjoyed a smoked dip, wings, and oysters. All fantastic. I really wanted to love this place and give it 4 stars but when you add up all the things it's was not a 4 star rounded experience. There were 9 of us for dinner. 2 vegetarians and 3 non drinkers the bill was just under $900. Food: very mixed reviews Portion sizes varied significantly depending on the dish you ordered. Appetizers Fried okra: 2* it was a bit slimy inside Fries: 5*had a great crisp to them. If you enjoy dipping sauces they came with 3 that the group enjoyed. We actually ordered another round Octopus: 2* it was too chewy on one end and the other was a bit over cooked Meals Special order lamb with succotash. 3* The Lamb was over cooked at medium but so glad I got the succotash as it was a highlight of the dish. My colleague had the lamb as it was supposed to be prepared and she wad def underwhelmed; hers was also over cooked. Smoked pork chop: 4* was excellent but no one liked the sides with it. We had it with Over all the food was inconsistent in the cook and flavors. Both of our vegetarian dishes which has the be special orders did not come out as requested. Atmosphere 4 -nice place for a dateif they could figure out food and service. Service Mixed - drink service was very slow even - almost every dish that had a change was inaccurate. Stumbled upon this place while shopping and, oh boy, am I glad we did! The food? Amazing. Taste, portion size, plating--10/10. This restaurant has the distinct pleasure of entering into my Clean Plate Club. I think I even tried to eat the bone... Similarly, the cocktails were fabulous and well executed. Prices for both food and beverages were absolutely appropriate. Service was stellar, and while some might think the food and drink a tad slow to come out, I think it was absolutely appropriate for what we ordered. Good things take time! My partner came here with her coworkers and said we should check it out, and I'm glad I listened to her because I had an amazing time. Let's get into it. Location and Parking They are located in the Shops Around Lenox, which is right next to Lenox mall. There's an open lot so you don't have to pay for parking but it can be pretty packed. My partner and I lucked out and got a spot directly in the front. It's kind of in a corner and could be easy to miss if you're not paying attention but it's not super hard to find. Venue and Atmosphere My partner made a reservation for us, and reservations are recommended, but for a Friday it actually wasn't too crowded and some people were able to walk right in. They have indoor and outdoor seating, my partner and I would have opted for outdoor but it had just rained so things were still pretty wet. Inside it's a little small, but not cramped. They use the space well enough where you're able to see your neighbor but not be in their lap, or their conversation. The lighting is was dim, giving cute date night vibes. The kitchen is kind of open, but not distracting. Food and Drinks At my partners suggestion we got the pimento cheese board and the grilled octopus. The pimento board came with pimento cheese spread, butter, jalapeños, pickled onions, okra, prosciutto, and okra. The grilled octopus was one tentacle served with a sauce. The board was amazing, and everything paired very well together. The grilled octopus wasn't bad it's just not my thing. The sauce was a good accompaniment, my partner really enjoyed it. For drinks I had the old fashioned, which was strong and smooth, and my partner got the "Pushin P" and the "Gimme Passion" both of which she really enjoyed. For mains we both were in the mood for steak and got the NY strip steak, medium. It was cooked perfectly, and definitely entered into the clean plate club. For dessert we ordered the chocolate brownie, which could have been a little bit softer and could have used more of the peanut mouse, but otherwise was very good. Service Our server was attentive and very nice. We never had to wait long for refills on our drinks and he was very knowledgeable about the menu. What Atlanta restaurant does not have iced tea? That's a hard one to recover from. Ordered their lemonade instead, and it was undrinkable-horribly sour and no sweetness at all. Diluting it helped, but without sweetener on the table it was a futile task. Pimento cheese was excellent as were the smoked and fried wings. Pastry basket was a disappointment and misnomer. I was thinking of cinnamon rolls, tarts, danishes, etc. instead got some hard scones, small overdone (but not burned) muffin - nothing that would make a kid happy. Beignets were decent Salmon was very good. Chicken and waffles had no redeeming qualities. Note to chef: there should be enough syrup to taste, and some people like to butter their waffles. Server brought some on request, but the portions were minuscule and had to ask for more. Chicken was too crunchy for me. Some might say over-fried. I'd think long and hard about doing brunch here again. read more

Food, service and ambience were all present during a brunch at Seven Lamps on Sunday, February 18, 2024. What a wonderful, cozy little restaurant tucked in the Around Lenox shopping mall. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. You will see from the photos how lovely the table was and how color coordinated everything was with the flowers and drinks. We had mimosas, one with grapefruit and one with orange juice. The food was delicious and beautifully prepared and presented. I had fish tacos. They were really good. I could have eaten more, and the accompanying salad was perfect and so pretty, I didn't want to eat it, but I did! My lunch date had the oysters. She said they were excellent. The restaurant is small and the menu is somewhat limited, but they take reservations and you will enjoy the food. Parking is free at Around Lenox. Highly recommended. You will love it. read more

Nice relaxing atmosphere. We went at 8:30 pm so there was low lighting candle lit at table. I originally ordered the salmon patty but boy it was charred so bad. It was burnt, so I sent it back and got the salmon and grits instead. The salmon in the grits was a little less charred. It tasted better. The relish jam was made of jalapeños, red green yellow peppers and red onion; it was a yummy touch. I ordered a mock passion fruit Moscow mule to drink. Has gone downhill, don't go and expect the seven lamps you've had before. Sent steak back twice, chewy and inedible. Murdered the fish on the fish tacos, so dry. Grilled oysters were smothered with un-charred cheese, gooey and way too much. My son's burger was gray it was so overcooked. It all looked pretty and tasted terrible. Management was non-existent, some meek lady who had nothing to say, and never came back to the table to check on us. Overpriced, terrible quality. Just go anywhere else instead. The oysters were good, I realize that Atlanta is landlocked so......although they were fresh, I know they still had a ways to travel to get to us. The service was great! Seven lamps is tucked away in the corner (no visible sign) of the shopping plaza right behind the West Elm, across from Lenox. The best part about this restaurant location is obviously the free parking and there's lots of it. As we walked up we noticed a very cute outside patio area. It looked perfect during nice weather to have a glass of wine on. Unfortunately it was raining this night lol. We met up with a friend and I'm glad I was brought here because at first looking at the menu online I was not all that excited. Our waiter was alright but he brought us our drinks pretty quickly and for appetizers we got the brussels sprouts to share. They were delicious! For my entrées I decided to get the kale salad and the mussels (not knowing both were huge). The salad came out first it was enough to share for the table. Kale, cucumbers, grana cheese, and green goddess dressing it was perfect. The mussels were some of the best I've tasted. They come with so many in the bowl and that loaf of bread that comes with the dish is amazing! Everything complements each other perfectly. One of my dinner companions got the steamed lobster bun. I got to taste the lobster inside and it was fresh and there were big chunks of meat he said it was worth the price ($21). The other person I'm with is got the 50-50 burger and the side salad she said the burger was one of the best she tasted very fresh ingredients. To finish off our meal she insisted we had to try the chocolate truffle cake. It came with marshmallow sorbet and peppermint snow. One of my favorite places for dinner and/or drinks in Atlanta. Anytime someone is in town to visit, I bring them to Seven Lamps. It's in such a convenient location, the menu (both food and drink) is great and always delivers, the ambiance is perfect-- even if you want to sit outside by the heat lamps when it gets chilly out -- and the service is quality. Again, nothing on the menu has disappointed me to this point (and I've been probably close to a dozen times now) but the salmon, chicken, burger, brussels sprouts, fries and clams are all highlights. read more

This is easily one of my most favorite restaurants in the city! It's so understated. It's kind of hard to find. It's actually in the Lennox Plaza next to West Elm. On the outside, it looks like a little bistro, but the interior still has a restaurant feel. I've enjoyed the patio and indoor seating. Both offer a good vibe. I love that. And employees are wearing masks!! It's the COVID precautions for me! Note, they shut down for about an hour in between brunch and dinner, only serving a bar snack menu. The brussel sprouts, salmon, mussels, tagliatelle, and fries are all phenomenal! The brussels are fried, tossed in coarse sea salt and a mint crema, and garnished with peanuts! Baby!! Top 2 brussel sprouts I've ever had. I get them every time I go. Today, I tried the tagliatelle! The portion size is small for $25 (I had to order some of their delicious fries bc I was still hungry), but man this dish is tasty. So much flavor! Fresh tomatoes, cremini mushrooms, carrots, garlic, tossed in a lemony pesto! I mean the flavor profile blew me away. So simple, yet so elegant. Our service is always great! We stopped in for lunch a little before 3pm on Saturday. We were seated pretty quickly after the hostess wiped down the table. Can't say the same for the chairs which seemed to have some type of glitter on them. And this was probably the highlight of the service for the afternoon. We were seated for about 15 minutes before someone came to our table to take our drink order only to find out it was the waitress that was next to us chatting up the couple at that table. By that time we had already looked at the menu and knew what we wanted so we ordered everything at once. We ordered fried plantains for an appetizer ($10); the burger and fries ($18); and Springer Mountain farms chicken breast w/ fingerling potatoes ($24). And then more waiting. We watched while our waitress floated around like a social butterfly mostly talking to her coworkers and seemingly flirting with one of the cooks. That was when we could see her in the main dining area. Apparently she was also at the bar at some point helping to make drinks per one of the other servers we finally asked after waiting more than 15 minutes to get the check. When she eventually came to the table we asked her for the check directly and she still didn't immediately go over to the register to print it. More social time. We got it about 10 minutes later and it included two items we didn't ordered that were added and then credited back at the bottom of the ticket. This bad service really overshadowed the food. The plantains were a bit greasy. The chicken's presentation looked good but the flavors were not very good or complimentary of the chicken. Per my husband the burger was a standout and was seasoned to perfection, although it was well done and not cooked medium as he requested. Not worth a return visit. read more

Well, where can I start? This is now our go to spot for my wife and me when we need some "Passion"! The "Gimme" Passion drink is my favorite craft cocktail that they offer and no one makes it better than my favorite barkeep, Jenna. She was so personable, and attended to our every need. Even one of the chefs, Chef Wes, gave me the low down on an amazing dish (the Georgia Royal Red Shrimp - yum!). Wish I could give this restaurant seven stars! We live in the area and frequent the Shops Around Lenox, but had somehow never stopped into this adorable little spot. It can be easy to miss, as it sits on one side of the plaza and is slightly tucked away. We were at the shops earlier this week and decided to stop in for a spur-of-the-moment dinner on Wednesday night. I was pleasantly surprised that even though they seemed busy, we were seated immediately with no wait. To start, we ordered an old fashioned and sangria (white wine) - the drinks came out quickly and were exquisite. My husband even mentioned that he had never had an old fashioned that tasted that great, yet still did not have a strong bourbon aftertaste. Next up we got the fried okra appetizer - all I can say is, I have had a LOT of fried okra in my life, but this might be my favorite. It was perfectly crispy and the aioli sauce it came with was to die for. My husband, who was wary of ordering okra, could not stop eating it! For entrees, we got the pork tenderloin and salmon - both dishes highly exceeded our expectations. The food was piping hot when it came out, portion sizes were big but not overdone and overall we were very happy with the entire dining experience. Our server was friendly and personable, checked in on us frequently but not too much. Seven lamps is one of our favorite restaurants in the area. From the cocktails to the food there is no lack of flavor and finesse. We almost always get the pimento cheese plate to start. The burger there is absolutely amazing. This time we tried the chicken salad sandwich and the Buffalo chicken. I read tons of reviews and noticed the high ranking of stars so I just knew this was the restaurant to visit. When I arrived, my party was seated outdoors on a beautiful day to accommodate our size. So far everything was going great. We ordered drinks and appetizers. Our waitress brought out a round of drinks and water, but before she left, she dumped the access liquid from her tray on to the ground in between our table and another parties table. I looked up in disbelief. Who would dump anything out on the ground near dining patrons? Next we requested straws to drink from our glasses and were brought out several straws in her barehand. When this happened I immediately asked that she bring us covered straws as we were not going to use straws and place them in our beverages after being directly in her hands. The third strike was I ordered a burger and it was paired with hand cut fries, but the fries were burnt and the burger wasn't seasoned or flavorful nor does the restaurant provide regular ketchup. The ketchup paired with this dish is a house ketchup which if I'm being 100% honest, is not tasty at all. Two of us ordered burgers and we both sent back the fries for the same issue. Now I rated my experience a two because even though several things happened that made me write this restaurant off, there were some positives. The waitress brought out new fries that were freshly made and were not burnt. The lamb, shrimp, and okra were delicious dishes and the kids loved the chicken tenders. There were just so many things I didn't enjoy that I probably won't be back, but if you go get those three things I mentioned, you won't be disappointed, but can't promise the service will be any better. read more

This place is amazing! My husband and I stumbled upon it one day and we're so glad we did. The food is amazing. We've enjoyed what we thought would be basic dishes burgers and fries, which turned out to be are anything but ordinary, The smoky wings are also delicious. In a nutshell, we haven't had anything that wasn't delicious, thanks to Chef Wes (who also stopped by our table our table last time to check on us). I can't say enough about the cocktails! The last time we went, Jenna made us both a drink called Gimme Passion, and it is by far the best drink I've ever had. There's a difference between someone who waits tables and a professional server. Danesha is a professional server. She radiated goodness as she approached our table and took the time to provide recommendations on the menu. She came back to check on us but wasn't over bearing.
