My mom and I dined here on a friday night. we made a reservation & were seated upon our arrival. the restaurant is very quaint and small. it's tucked in the corner of the shops around lenox. the atmosphere is really nice & it seems like it would be a good spot for a nice date. you can see into the kitchen which was cool. i ordered a glass of wine that was very nice. it came very cold which i didn't really like so i let sit for a second so it wasn't super cold. i ordered the chicken entree and it was very good. lots of flavor and a great portion size. our waiter was very attentive. the menu is a bit different but everything we had was great. i would recommend. read more

Went there last week with a group of six. Seems the place is old and worn out. Very noisy, open kitchen. Our service was spotty at best. Food is very average and small portions. Cocktails were too watery and expensive for what is served. Ended up with a $550 bill for very average over priced food, weak cocktails and marginal service with an automatic 20% tip! This place seems to be the new norm for trendy casual joints in Buckhead. Too much business, not enough help, higher food costs and customers hungry for eating out. I not only give this joint a one star, but all the joints in Buckhead. Popular joints OSP are doing a much better job providing a better experience for their customers. Last week was my last visit to ANY Buckhead joint. I believe those that live ISP don't realize just how poorly they are being abused by the popular Buckhead joints. We visited for the first time. Sat on the patio. Our server was attentive. He was really knowledgeable and provided great menu recommendations. One of my friends suggested we should grab lunch on a Saturday at Sage Tavern. I walked over there and was the first to arrive. No, I did not post this review at the wrong business location. Just bear with me. I tried to open the door, it was locked. I tried to open again, nope I was not imagining things. It was locked! I looked at the business hours posted next to the door. It clearly said it opens at 11am and I was standing there in front of the restaurant at 12.15pm!! Omgoodness!! I could not believe it. I walked into the building and checked with the security and she told me Sage never open for lunch, in fact they probably only open at 5pm. Seriously?? I texted the girls and told them the restaurant was not opened for lunch. I suggested Seven Lamps. Good thing I suggested Seven Lamps. Again, I was the first to arrive. I told the staff it would be a party of 3. She showed me to a table and served me some water while I waited for the girls. One of them came at almost 1pm. I was starving by then. No wonder the 2nd to arrive not long after I sat there said E makes a bad date. Haha!! I hope she will never get to read my review here. As my friend wanted to charge her phone, the staff Sophie helped to move us to another table next to an outlet. I took a picture of the menu and sent to the late comer and even ordered what she wanted. In fact each of us girls ordered the same Bramlett Farms Trout which was amazing!! FOOD 5/5 This was probably the first time I saw trout on the menu here. I was deciding between lobster bun and trout. The trout won this time. The Bramlett Farms Trout was cooked perfectly and fresh. The corns which accompanied the fish was delicious. It was an unusual combination, but it worked! AMBIENCE 5/5 I like the ambience here. Casual yet trendy with some rustic feel. The place was not too noisy. I always like the outdoor seatings but it was too hot for me to sit outside today. SERVICE 5/5 A big shout out to our server Sophie. She was very attentive, kind and accommodating. The service we received from her was definitely a 5 star! I am glad Sage Tavern failed us today and we girls got to enjoy lunch at Seven Lamps. The place was nice. I sat outside to soak in some sun on a beautiful Saturday. The octopus and the burger were awesome. The mussels were not as good as other reviews i read online. I would definitely go back. There are many shops surrounding the restaurant . The waiter was very nice and helpful in making my selections. Majority of all the items are around $16-$20 bucks. If you park in the parking lot please do not go to Lenox mall as they will tow you. The inside is nice and spacious. When i go back i want to try some more dishes. 4 out of 5 is because of the mussels . I thought they could have been better. read more

Why haven't I tried this place sooner?? Definitely a 5 stars from me! From the food to the service to the ambiance, everything was excellent. Parking: There's a lot with plenty of free parking, no need to go into the garage. They are located at the corner next to Kendra Scott once you turn into the lot, pretty easy to spot. Appetizer: 1. muscles, I would say mostly fresh and pretty good. Also came with a loaf of french bread 2. brussel sprouts - literally the best and my favorite things here hands down! so flavorful and sooo soo good! 3. they also gave us some complimentary pickles with cream. Dinner: 1. Scallops - yummy. Everything pair very well together. 2. Pork Shank - it was not bad but I probably wouldn't order it again. They have a decent wine/cocktail selection. Seven Lamps is conveniently located right next to Lenox Mall. We stopped by for dinner after shopping on the weekend, and it wasn't too packed which was great. There's beautiful seating areas outside, but we chose to sit inside. I started off with East Coast oysters, and the kitchen accidentally sent some West Coast ones as well, but they graciously took it off our bill. The oysters come with lemon, mignonette, and hot sauce. They aren't bad but not as plump as I prefer. Also, the shell wasn't thoroughly washed so there were little pieces of shell in the meat. We ordered a cheese board as well and got the Beemster cheese which was well paired with their homemade brittle, preserve, and baguette. As an appetizer, we wanted the brussel sprouts but unfortunately they ran out so we got Roasted Sunchokes instead. It tasted good but I wish they didn't run out of their brussel sprouts so soon especially since we came for an early dinner. Entrees for us were the Potato Gnocchi and Tortellini. My half plate of tortellini came with about 10 pieces, and I enjoyed the filling. The gnocchi was soft and tender, but a little on the oily side. Still delicious nonetheless. I like that Seven Lamps' menu changes daily, and I may come back again to get their brussel sprouts and see what they have on their menu that day. Would skip the oysters here though. We left not feeling filled even after ordering all these things which totaled out to be an expensive bill, but that's expected in Buckhead. Seven Lamps for lunch was a good experience. I started off with the fried okra which had a delicious batter, but I wish it wasn't entire okra pods. Several pieces of my okra were extremely stringy. Is it possible to do 6 stars?! This place is top 5 of mid range joints I have eaten at all time. The atmosphere is awesome... sat inside but the fire pit setting outside is a "next timer"... The burger was out of this world. It was the "secret menu" burger. Don't ask for details... just order it. I have enjoyed this place since it opened, never experienced anything other than excellent food and service. Everything on the menu is unique and remarkable. Tonight was no exception. My server/bartender J recommended the wings, which are smoked in a Big Green Egg, then fried and coated their perfectly balanced Buffalo sauce and covered with their house made pickles on top of their blue cheese dressing. Third time lucky! After a promising happy hour and a disappointing dinner, it was a Saturday lunch visit which redeemed the Seven Lamps experience for me. Their mall-side location certainly brings in an odd collection of diners, with everyone from shopped-out families to romantic lunch dates, and weary moms feeling their kids after sports activities. The lunch menu has some great options, but the best dish was the Turkey Panini. We enjoyed some of the house cocktails, including the "secret sangria" of the day. Service was better at lunchtime than on either of my past visits. The only drawback was the less-than-lovely bathroom, and the cold draft of air through the always-open front door. Finally got a chance to check out Seven Lamps. The restaurant is nestled between retail space at the plaza just outside of Lenox. Parking is available outside of the restaurant without too much of a challenge. If you're coming after 5, you'll definitely want to make a reservation as it really picks up and the restaurant itself isn't that large. My group split the grilled octopus which is served with roasted carrots and potatoes and the French fried which are large flattened wedges. The octopus wasn't note worthy but the wedges were delicious. We didn't stay for dinner but everyone who ordered pasta with pesto looked extremely pleased. Most of the cocktails run $12-14 and glasses of wine or bubbles are $8-14. I enjoyed a Sauvignon Blanc and French 75(one of the best I've had in Atlanta). read more

This place keeps me coming back. This is more of an experience that changes every time I visit & it never disappoints. Came here with a colleague & we each had a couple of drinks, appetizers, & an entree. Let me start by saying that whoever comes up with their cocktail concoctions is a genius & they never skimp on the alcohol. We had the 'slushies', Medicine man, & a Tiki Tuesday. For appetizers, we sampled the heirloom tomato salad, Tater Tot Confit (my fave of the three), and the mussels. Wow, on the 'tater tots'! I would hardly call them that because it's practically an insult to the dish. It came with a cheese fondue that was to die for. We liked it so much, we dipped the bread that came with the mussels in what was left. We probably should've stopped there, but that's not easy to do at this establishment. For our entrees, I had the Lamb Shank pasta & my colleague had the Spaghetti (includes shrimp). We definitely left happy & full. This spot is my favorite Atlanta spot & I can't wait to see what they continue to do with their menu. read more

When in Buckhead, with your significant other, there is no other place to be other than Seven Lamps. Why? Well, let me explain. It's a classy, upscale, yet casual type of restaurant. You'll find corporate folks, as well as people from all ages, coming to have a drink, catch up and enjoy the environment. They have a really cool patio, with a couple tables, and also a small fire pit. So, we loved the environment for sure. Got in, and we were probably in and out of the restaurant in about an hour. After yelp showed me so many pictures of this elusive 50/50 Burger, had to order it. But, wasn't on the menu so I was like damn, must be a seasonal thing? Come to find out, its on the secret menu, you'll have to ask your waiter about that, thank me later. So we got the delicious burger, and was done within minutes. Juicy, cheesy and all around great. We love Seven Lamps! We always have amazing food and great service. On our most recent trip we had the following things, all of which were delicious! Upscale comfort food at its best. **Hot Oysters appetizer- our server described these as "Nashville Hot" and she wasn't exaggerating. Fried oysters covered in hot sauce, served on a slice of brioche with pickles. Outstanding way to start our meal. Very hot- would not recommend if you feel at all hesitant about heat. **Beef cheek- my husband had this as his entree. It was served pulled in a bowl with mashed potatoes, mushrooms, and vegetables. He said it was really unique and he enjoyed every bite. **Trout- this was served grilled with a side of shredded Brussels sprouts salad (with pecans and Granny Smith apples). The trout was very good but the Brussels sprouts were my favorite thing! We also tried the Scarlet Ginger (very spicy from the ginger- we enjoyed it) and the Special Sangria. We loved both drinks and look forward to trying other cocktails on our next visit. The menu changes a little bit every day so if you peruse the menu online before you go, don't get your heart too set on any one thing! Decided to try without a reservation on a Friday night. Even though the restaurant seemed full, the hostess was super nice and sat us immediately. We ordered cocktails that were great. There were many dinner options on the menu that looked great but I asked the server for his recommendation. I ended up taking the recommendation and ordered the Lamb Sirloin. IT WAS FANTASTIC!! Our cocktails were tasty and really complimented our entrees. I ordered the cat fish tacos and my partner the bbq salmon, both kept this tasty momentum going. We got the charcuterie board which had this pimento cheese with some corn chips and prosciutto and some veggies which was really good. I really enjoyed that. I ended up getting a salad which was basic. I did read the ingredients but I thought they would be better flavors in there- it was just a regular salad with lettuce, tomatoes and radishes and a Sherry vinaigrette but I would think that it would have more flavor. I also got the side of plantains which were amazing! overall I do think their salad was so underwhelming that they lost a star and it needs work. I didn't finish it. so I don't recommend you get the salad but they have other food there so just burgers, salmon, sandwiches, other appetizers along with other salads you can try. I also tried to order some coffee but they didn't have any so they had to water down some espresso which is OK but not ideal. I'll definitely be back. I love the ambience. I love the decor. The service was great. We did not get any drinks. prices are decent. There is a private parking area in a large shopping center near Lenox Mall. Small, hip restaurant tapas style. The space is really tight so it may not be fit for a large group (over 4). Reservation is highly recommend even for party of 2. Even with reservation on a weekday night we still have to wait ~30mins. Food and drinks are good, but not that innovative/extraordinary (as advertised by the serving staff) - still well executed, just no special wows. Starters and small plates are shareable to try different things, large plates are still more like regular entrees instead of shared plates.
