If I could give them no stars, I would. They kept telling us how good of tenants we were the whole 4.5yrs. Even during covid & without jobs we were never late on our rent. We gave them over 60 days notice of our move. Never once did they offer us an exit inspection or let us know we were entitled to one & when we asked for it, there reply was,"Just take a video" (which we did along with pictures). They are not only trying to keep our deposit but are also trying to charge us for over $2500 worth of paint among other insane things. We are well aware of reasonable wear & tear after 4.5yrs & will take this to court. After responding with emails & phone calls refuting all of this with dates, Jon, the manager, tells my husband that the owner knows it isn't right & has decided to give our deposit back. 2 days later, Jon says that the owner has changed his mind & that Core Alliance will give us a little less than 1/2 of our deposit back out of their expense. When I asked for this in writing, Jon informs me that the price has now went down to $200 & this offer was timed & ends by the end of the day. Keep in mind that it took them over 8 months to fix a closet that the former tenants, they said, used as a bathroom. Getting anything fixed was a hassle. They always had me contact their help, etc... & to top it all off they never fixed a drawer that had broken after living there for over 4yrs. They said it was our responsibility even after I told them all we did was pull it out to get our silverware & the dry-rotted plastic broke. The drawers had been rigged up so many times prior to our move in & are old. I even have pictures. I would advice anyone to avoid them like the plague. During our first few days in our new place, we found a few things here and there that needed fixing and we were able to request all the maintenance online and they sent out people to repair them within days. This is by far the best property management company in Los Angeles. Before I moved into one of their listings - I was looking for a place for almost four months, I saw many showings and even got to the part of signing the lease, each one of those other places I found were unfairly priced, money hungry companies, odd agreements or their staff just didn't actually care about you finding a place you were happy with...they just wanted quick easy money to deposit. I found a listing from Core on a Friday morning, I called and John picked up and immediately helped me schedule a time to view the house (that worked around my schedule), I saw the house the next day and fell in love with it. I put in the application the same night and John stayed in touch the whole time with updates. The next morning I got the call from John and he told me we got it! We met again at the house and signed the lease. Literally the EASIEST process I've ever experienced. Even in the two walk throughs that we did, John was constantly assuring us that if we had any problems with the house that they could get a handy man or someone else to fix it (obviously with logical reasoning). The move in dates stayed the same, the prices stayed the same, the agreement stayed the same and this was truly an ethical process. John has been wonderful and still to this day answers any questions we have and is quick to respond with solutions. We're very happy we chose them!!
