IF I COULD LEAVE A ZERO OR NEGATIVE RATING I WOULD. Have lived here for just under a year, the amount of disregard for clean living is staggering. Within the complex there are assigned parking spots; A PAID/ASSIGNED PARKING SPOT mind you, that you consistently have to fight to be able to park in. Majorly of the time facilities on property are not operable, homeless people are constantly on the property as well that sleep on the couches by the pool rendering them useless as they smell terribly and have stains all over. In addition the apartments are labeled as move in ready. To say the least that is not the case. Only live here if you want to fight for your paid parking everyday, like the smell of dog piss/poop, and don't like to sleep at night because the padding between floors is slim (you can hear everything above you). read more

Good Lordy! I originally chose the Core because of the stated "Resort Style living" Well let's just say this is no resort. Let's start with the unit, in the first 6 months I had 7 maintenance issues. The AC was dripping (like buckets of water) took maintenance 4 visit to fix leaving a mess. They must have skimped on building because you can hear everything from the people above and below! They force all sorts of random fees - like trash pickup from your door (another company the core hired) half the time trash is not picked up and I have to take it down myself! Yet you get charged for the service Now the property, dog crap every where, the dog park is a 12 x 15 area with fake grass that smells horrible my dog kept getting an infection on his paws from going in there. The "green area" is really drainage for the flood zone so the bugs are gross The pool and spa are constantly not working. Parking - what a joke! You pay to park - okay but this doesn't guarantee you a place to park. The homeless people love to come stay The pool has cabanas and they make them gross. Now mind you this is a gated "patrolled" community. So definitely not resort living Oh and almost forgot! You pay to park and they will still tow you. When you call to Fight it they say you need a permit the complex does not do permits! You register a license plate. Seems to be money grab between the complex, patrol one and the tow company. Front office is useless and after hours number away guy answers but he is only a handyman so glad I pay a ridiculous amount to live her cannot wait to move Now I know why we keep seeing people move out that were here before us. No one stays past a year. Oh they also increase the rent if you chose to stay what happened to people extending and getting a discount ! Toured these apartments and would not ultimately recommend living there. They're on a busy road and near the highway, so higher noise pollution. They require a dog DNA test for your pet, which is asinine and outdated. Markets itself as luxury but the amenities and apartments are cheap. Everything feels like it's a bandaid fix. I found the communication to be poor before even considering a lease, so I will not choose to move here. read more

Today is my last day at the core it's bittersweet. I called this place home for the last 2 1/2 years, but time to move in to a new house. the staff here I actually care about the people. If you have any issues with your apartment. They get right to it Ruben. The main guy is awesome and let me tell you. If you're starting a family. This is the apartment to be in Riverside. I don't understand the super poor communication & I don't understand why it is taking so long to get my deposit back. I moved out July 12 and it is now Aug 12. I expected a check. I try calling and leaving messages and don't receive a response. Make sure you get in writing who the security deposit should go to if you have multiple renters. Because even when the co-renter acknowledged that they don't get anything you will still be out of luck. Arbitration may be needed. The maintenance staff is excellent. read more

I recently visited this property because of a job relocation and was greeted by Samantha. She had extensive knowledge on the property and was so kind to make suggestions on schools as well as the actual neighborhood. She also mentioned moving companies and utility service etc. She put me at ease also because I have friends who visit and she showed me the nice pool & bbq area. The tenants there seemed nice too. I was pleased with the care and condition of the property, it takes an exceptional manager to handle such a large property (my dad was a property manager when I was younger). I've been living at The Core for the last 3 years and I love it. I'm a transplant from San Diego and I did not find a more beautiful place to live when o decided to relocate. The office staff is always pleasant and extremely helpful. Whenever I have come into the office with an issue they take care of it immediately. Please listen to me and DO NOT live here. Don't be fooled by the fancy amenities and new build. The parking situation here is horrible, I used to spend 30-60 +minutes simply looking for a parking spot after a long day of work. They were slow to fix the parking issue but quick to tow or ticket any car that was out of place. Extremely frustrating. And now, over a YEAR since I move out they are charging me with pretty substantial fees for "routine" cleaning... Roommate and I had a pre-move out inspection and were given guidelines on how clean the apartment needed to be, which we followed closely. Now I am being told all of their apartments require PROFESSIONAL cleaning to be adequate... if that's the case why did you give us instructions/guidelines on how to clean it ourselves and let us clean it for hours when you were just going to do us dirty and hit us with a couple hundred dollars in cleaning fees anyways? And now, even when working to get this charge sorted - zero empathy or attempt at compromise, they just want the bill. Please do yourself a favor and go live somewhere else read more

The core has really beautiful amenities including a pool and fitness center, EV charging port in garage and very clean property which were things on the top of my priority list when looking for a new place. Absolute horror show to live here.. Think of the worst possible parking setup, and then imagine it 10x worse. That's this place. My roommate had his tag stolen ON THEIR PROPERTY. And then they towed him because of not having a tag. That's just an insane concept to think about.. Make sure you tour your unit, because we live right next to a dump site. At 6am there's loud banging, and mechanical work being done, you don't need to set an alarm! Doors have no locks it's all technology based. So if you accidentally leave your place without your phone, you only have to pay $150 to get back in! Trust me I've been in plenty of apartments, there's a lot of better options, save yourself. read more

This office is actually one of the most professionally ran leasing areas I've seen, I've been going on multiple tours as my daughter is looking for a place to live and I want a company that is going to take it as serious as I am as that will be where she will be calling home for the next couple years. I don't know if they have always been this professional but Brittany actually made this place feel like home, she answered all my questions even the silly ones lol and made me feel safe and secure with my daughters decision to live here, also the application is so easy all my daughter had to do was go online and apply after Brittany took me around the property and showed me all the amazing luxuries they have here. A lot of people nowadays do not want to work and do the bare minimum to get by it's so hard to find hard workers out there but Brittany is a rare find that is a girl who loves her job and wants to make sure you get what you want! My first time checking out these new apartments and this place is beautiful! The leasing office staff was super friendly, informative and you can truly tell that they care about your experience. I appreciate the fact that they care about their residents and this property, makes a huge difference when you live somewhere! Just from walking right into the lobby it's so pretty & modern- you feel like you are in a fancy resort hotel. Why would you not want to live here? Omg, and I love that this is a smoke-free property! Great location, with easy freeway access and amazing view of the hills. Not to mention the beautiful sunsets! Close shopping center, mall and food places too! The amenities are so amazing! Conference room, card table, business center, lounge areas, tv, resort style pool area with fancy chairs and more! There aren't any apartments in the area that can beat the resort style feel of this place. Rents at this place are very similar to other older apartments in the area too, but here you get a brand new apartment with so much more that comes with it. I won't be moving here due to moving closer to work but I will say the apartments are super nice and the girls in the office were welcoming and all 3 greeted me as soon as I walked in. I lived here for 1 year and it was okay. The apartments are nice but have nothing else to offer. Management is average as is maintenance. I had my water heater break 3 times in a row until they finally got a tech out. In the last couple months before moving out there were always homeless people trash digging. It made it feel unsafe. Now for the worst part of living here. Do not get the lease lock it's a scam they tell it substitutes the deposit. It does not. You will not see that money again and it will not be used for move out charges which are ridiculous by the way. They are charging out over 600 dollars. Never have I experienced something like this. Our apartment was in good shape. 2 working people who were rarely home and they are saying the paint was damaged. RENTERS BEWARE read more

The Core was my home for almost three years. I moved there in February of 2020 and moved out November of 2022. The original property was beautifully maintained, well ran, safe, and a clean environment to live in. Michelle was a strict property manager but she was fair and held people accountable. Michelle left the property about a year ago and since they have had a slew of horrible managers and staff run the facility. Gelisa Williams is the new community manager and she's the worst person I've ever had to deal with. My largest gripe is that she basically never responds timely to emails. I can NEVER get a 72 hour or less response from these new members of staff. They were stealing my money from me, by charging a monthly insurance fee for NOT having renters insurance, even though I purchased insurance through them and did all the virtual nonsense that they requested. Once I noticed they had been charging me monthly for the insurance fee, I emailed them and it took weeks to get a refund. I basically had to call everyday and bother them about it, send countless follow up emails, and hold everyone in the property management company accountable by CC every email I could find on file. They did eventually refund my money but it was one serious battle to get refunded. When I moved in, I was paying around $1,700 for a one bedroom unit with a detached garage. By the time I left, I was paying close to $3,000 for the same unit but with garbage and embarrassing services. They make you pay to DNA swab your dog so that they can send it in for testing if people fail to clean up after their animals. When Michelle was there, I never saw any poop on the grass and everyone was respectful. Now the new property managers could care less, there's poop on the sidewalks, grass, walkways near the entryway of the units, and in the dumpster areas quite often. The community is supposed to be a non smoking place which used to be true and it was wonderful. Now folks smoke on their balcony's and writhing the community and nothing ever happens. There's peoples cars getting broken into often, no more security patrols, front gates and other items often go weeks or months out of order and Gelisa Williams basically does nothing about it. I used to highly recommend this place and I have had friends move there but now you couldn't pay me to recommend or say anything nice about this place. It used to stand out as Riversides best kept secret but now it's garbage just like the surrounding complexes. The only positive thing I can say about it is that the build quality of the units was nice, with the exception of flat paint... which when you clean it basically gets ruined. The appliances were great, color choices were spot on, kitchen cabinets and counters were lovely, and the flooring was cute. None of that is worth having to deal with the manager or her employees. read more

When I moved in I saw that the shard community areas are supper clean and kept, my apartment was clean upon move in, and if I ever had questions the core team would help me right away. I've been living here At The CORE for about five months now and it's definitely one of the nicest places in the area... and I looked at a lot of different places. There are several things I appreciate about the place other than it being super new (built last year I think - 2018). The units are very large in all rooms (kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room), the bathtub is huge with arm rests, the kitchen sink is wider and deeper than most, tons of storage places around the apartment, there's outlets in the middle of the wall for mounting a tv in both living and bedroom spaces, there's a Nest thermostat (which has saved me a number of times when I've left already and needed to change the temperature), there's many windows and all with great views (at least for my unit). Every day I've watched the sunrise on one side from behind the Box Springs and set on the other. I have a great view overlooking the pool and I can see Mt. San Antonio in the background where I watch sunsets from the patio. The only downside is that it is close to the freeway and train tracks, but I am literally the closet apartment to both and it's honestly not as bad as you would think. That is to say, I don't require earplugs, but I'm also not a light sleeper. Overall, a great community with the space, nice amenities, and safety feeling from a gated place with good security patrol making it worth the price. Want to live in an apartment that has no parking available after 6pm? Want to live in an apartment where the management does not care about your concerns? Want to live in an apartment where you have NO access to the pool, no access to the outdoor bbq's because they have removed all the fuel for a year, cannot be outside at the fire pit with even 1 person outside your household due to the militant apartment rules where the management is unable to enact common sense safety guidelines for the community? Then this is the place for you! Earlier this year the City of Riverside made street parking illegal outside the complex. The Core sent out 1 email on 12/29/2020 prior to ANY tickets being given out by the city, which didn't start until late January/February. I received a parking ticket overnight and kindly asked the management to update the tenants of the complex know the city was now officially giving out tickets to warn them. The management did NOTHING to alert the other tenants who did not know the city was now ticketing resulting in thousands of dollars that people had to pay because they were unaware. Thanks Core! The management will also ask you to show proof of 50k+ in your bank account to prove you have enough $ to afford to live here which is insane. When the pool was open in the summer the management team regulated it like a fascist state - even if no one was using the pool area but you had already used up your 1 hour time slot for the day you would be kicked out. If you have 1 family member over and wanted to use the pool area when no one else was in it? Kicked out. Want to have some healthcare co workers who have worked in the ICU and ED over the past year over for a safe and distanced outdoor hangout by the fire pits? Kicked out. Can't wait to leave this place. I'm sure they'll be charging ridiculous move out fees as well. I had my car broken into twice while living here as well. One time my car window was completely broken into and another my catalytic converter was stolen overnight. $2000 in repairs. Actual Shout out to Ricky and Ruben on the team - they have been great and helpful. It's not their fault the management doesn't care about us. read more
