First time in! Very good. Service was quick. Staff was friendly. Regular size bowl was plenty for me. Hummus was good. Several different teas and lemonades to choose from. Clean restaurant. Definitely a healthier option if you are out! We will definitely be back

Usually get the same few meals whenever we go. The Korean pork and tuna poke bowls were the choices for this night.

    Burned up Korean Brussels Sprouts

I don't understand. I pay 20 dollars for a very shitty meal. If you didn't have the Brussels sprouts you could've just substituted or something instead of giving me the burned up crumps left over. Also my order was missing a whole other item. Terrible.

Reunited with my favorite fast casual spot. I wish there were corelife eatery's all over the country! Went with my go-to spicy Thai chicken and rice noodles and it hit as I remember. So many great bowl options though, you probably can't make a bad choice. They even have wraps now! Service was a bit slow because they were busy.

Love this place! So many options to choose from, I had trouble narrowing it down. But decided on the Korean BBQ pork today. Very flavorful and full of delicious ingredients-- even a freshly fried egg! Clean place, comfortable seating, very welcoming. Service was quick, but friendly. Not to mention they were jammin' to a Bieber playlist and I'm fully in support

Always fresh. Their quality of protein is good. We didn't love our salads today but we just weren't a fan of our choice with the rice noodles. Service was fast & friendly & it's always open & bright inside. The women's bathroom was clean & smelled good. Tip- Add double protein of choice.

I came here on a Friday for lunch for a solo date. This is a very popular lunch spot so be prepared to wait a little. Although the line was long, it was moving fairly fast so wasn't an issue at all. I appreciated the pictures of some of the food that was displayed and how helpful the staff was with answering questions. I went with the Korean BBQ option because I wanted something warm. It did not disappoint! I got the regular sized bowl and that was more than enough (could have definitely shared this). Here are my #WorthyNotes - Fresh food and healthy options - Make sure you know if your meal is warmed or not - If you don't see something you would like, create your own!

Alot of food at a good price! I did a pickup of a regular bowl and after taxes and tip it came out to $15, however there was easily enough food for two people so I was not upset at all! The ingredients were fresh and you could tell things are prepared daily. I really enjoyed the flavors from my bowl. It made me feel like it was a healthier version of qdoba at about the same price point! I did a Togo order so I can't attest to inside much but the workers were polite & quick when I came in. I will be back!

Build your own large bowl. This visit 7/10.

I love the food, atmosphere is ok, I mainly purchase to go buy i had a little time so i dined on. I usually visit 2-3 times a month because live in Taylorsville so only when I'm near. The food is always fresh but the rice noodles are usually frozen and that's my favored ingredient. I did ask the young man if he could warm them for me and he said NO, I looked and nothing was on the grill , he could have warmed it with my chicken? I usually do not add protein but decided to today, it's only 1 ounce spoon full anyway. There were 6 people working, no line and it would take literally seconds. But that's what you get hiring teens. Would have liked a drink but the machines were empty like the last 2 visits. I think I may find another restaurant that has similar Ai i can have something more accommodating and my just water to drink. I mean $14.26 for a "meh" lunch? The ingredients were great and fresh. The rest needs work.

09/02/2026 We had 25 Residents from Swan Pointe join us…read moretonight at Lou Lou in Middletown. We were greeted at the door and shown where our group was sitting. We were all really looking forward to this night. Our server was Deanna B. and she was a very hard worker! When we got to the table she was already pouring ice waters and taking beverage orders. The tables were filling up. We had so many people that that they had to seat 4 of us in the section right below the upper level. It worked out perfectly because two of us use canes and this way, we didn't have to climb the steps. The General Manager, Tom Legge, came over to our table and introduced himself to us. He brought us ice water and took our beverage orders. He went over some of the menu items with us. I had looked at the menu ahead of time and decided that the Hot Brown was exactly what I wanted. My husband loves Hot Browns but he also loves Pizza so he ordered a 10" Hot Brown Pizza for his dinner. A friend at the table with me ordered a Hot Brown also and her husband ordered Linguine and it came with 5 huge meatballs. Tom went ahead and turned in our orders so that we would be able to get our food a bit earlier. Meanwhile, Deanna was taking orders at the upper tables. She did an excellent job. She took 21 orders and got those turned in to the kitchen. Most of their orders were Shrimp & Grits, Chicken Carbonara, and Crab Cakes. Quite a few more ordered the Hot Brown. It didn't take much time before the GM brought out our entrees. Our Hot Browns were beautiful! A Louisville classic! There were layers of roasted turkey, laid upon on a slice of Brussétta bread, topped with smoked bacon, and tomatoes and covered with mornay sauce. Oh my! It was delicious. My husband's 10" Hot Brown Pizza was beautiful and was made on Pizza crust. It was really good, but after my husband tasted my Hot Brown, he decided that he liked the Hot Brown a bit better. Our other friend that was at the table with us ordered the Linguine and it came with 5 meatballs- in fact they were huge meatballs. It was served with Marinara sauce. He really thought it was good, but could only eat about 3/4 of it, so he took the remainder of his meal home with him. GM Tom talked the four of us into sharing the Bread Pudding that was topped with a Caramel Glaze. It was a perfect size for the four of us to top off our meal. We had a great time and I was very glad to find a restaurant with a 5 Hot Brown! Robyn

Deciding what to order was another story. I let my indecision rule the day and went with the Bayou Sampler, along with an appetizer of Boudin Balls. Jambalaya, Gumbo, Red Beans and Rice, and Étouffée, with a side of dirty rice, now that's a lot of Cajun goodness! I knew there was no way I could eat it all in one sitting, so I paced myself. I started with just one of the three excellent Boudin Balls and saved the other two for later. When the sampler arrived, it smelled incredible. I enjoyed everything, but if I had to rank them, the Étouffée was definitely my favorite, followed by the Jambalaya, Gumbo, and then Red Beans and Rice. And just to be clear, everything was good! That's simply my personal ranking. I also have to mention the excellent piece of alligator sausage that came with the Red Beans and Rice. That was a nice bonus. I rounded out the meal with a cold glass of red ale...or maybe two. And I can't forget to mention the bartenders. All three provided excellent service and helped make the evening a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I filled up my to go box and headed out the door satisfied. I definitely won't wait so long before returning to Lou Lou!

It is on the louder side, so if you're looking for a quiet, intimate breakfast, this probably isn't that kind of place. But for a busy breakfast spot, the energy works. The prices are moderate and felt very reasonable for the atmosphere, portions, and overall experience. I ordered the biscuit and gravy with a side of bacon, and let me just say... these were NOT your average biscuits! I got two huge, fluffy biscuits with little cubes of sausage tucked in between them and everything was covered in pepper gravy. The biscuits were soft and delicious, the sausage added just the right amount of flavor, and the pepper gravy pulled it all together. So good! My husband decided to go big and ordered the breakfast plate with all the fixings PLUS a waffle. Naturally, I had to sample the waffle, and I'm pretty sure I made my decision for my next visit right then and there. That waffle was delicious! It had a subtle vanilla flavor that paired incredibly well with the maple syrup. That vanilla + maple combination was honestly my favorite bite of the meal. The portions are generous, the food is flavorful, and there's enough variety on the menu that everyone should be able to find something they'll enjoy. Between my biscuits and gravy and my husband's breakfast feast, we definitely left happy and full. The Cafe gets a big thumbs-up from us, and I'm already looking forward to going back -- especially for that waffle!

Their burgers are "chicken" burgers or veggie. The promotion of burgers is confusing and a little disappointing. Chicken tender combos come with fries, one side and drink. The chicken burger was also tenders but tossed on a bun with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mayo. Several sauces are offered for dipping your chicken. The combo #1 was a good value. The tenders were hot and had enough peppering to make the flavor interesting. We enjoyed the fries, which reminded us of eating at school ballparks. Sides are small but offer a few bites and I liked the slaw (although it looked different than the menu image). My husband shared the green beans were peppery. My Fanta lacked flavor. The chicken burger was enjoyed by my son but since he didn't really want the toppings, he basically had the same meal as my combo #1 for more money and without the side. Service was helpful and polite. We appreciated them checking on us and being willing to offer recommendations. They have plenty of parking in a private lot and several tables inside. Cute decor. When walking in, the space didn't smell great -- likely a plumbing issue because it otherwise appeared very clean and organized. Drive thru also available. I'd come back for a quick bite of chicken tenders or pick up, but the ambience doesn't quite hit for it being at the top of our family hang out.
