Great staff. Went in because I had a pack I wasn't sure about and they help with clarification. They have a huge selection of packs, booster bundles, and etbs. I'm new to card collecting but they were really helpful here.

Everyone here is nice. I called on Christmas Eve to see if they had any one piece boxes. They were fast and answered my questions. Another time, they were almost closing, and again, they were nice and didn't feel rushed.

    | LOCATION + PARKING | Even with it being a busy and bustling Saturday morning, there was still (free) parking to be found both in the small lot located behind the building and on the surrounding streets. The location is easy to find -just look for howling rays and it's off to the left of that lol. | SELECTION | After having been to a few card shops, I can say CoreTCG is easily one of the best shops if not the best. The selection for Pokemon, MTG, One Piece, Yugioh (and a couple others I'm not sure of the names) is great! I was so shocked to see so many options lol. After getting into playing Pokemon TCG last month, I've had a lot of trouble finding cards, packs, ETBs & etc out in the wild. But walked in and immediately found everything I was looking for (which was both good and bad). | STAFF & SERVICE | There were a lot of people when my mini and I went in but we were asked by multiple different staff members if we needed anything. I really appreciated that because you could definitely tell the two of us were in need of help haha. Daniel was especially great! He was so helpful and patient while we asked a bajillion questions. He alone is honestly worth going back to CoreTCG lol. My mini was a little shy in the atmosphere (they were hosting tournaments/games so it was crowded. But Daniel made her feel just as important as everyone else there. We originally went in to pick up an online order I placed a few hours before they opened. Even though it's clearly stated on the website it's usually a 24 hour processing time, they were soooo nice and super expedited my wait time. They did it (46 cards) within 10-15mins! I was so grateful since I'm overly eager to build my decks lol. Talk about A+ service! | HIGHLIGHTS | Daniel & Jake -so friendly and welcoming that we went back twice in the same day LOLOL! The great selection & the prices! No crazy price gouging here!

The owner was so sweet, making sure he was able to give the local card community a chance to get to open Journey Together. He was selling them at MSRP! The man is a gem, this is my go to shop now. Prices are very fair, especially in the pokemon market right now that is so rare. There are plenty of tables to open packs and play or just hang out. It's very community friendly the staff are so helpful and never make me feel intimidated to ask questions. The vibes give

Staff here is great. They're friendly and very informative which is always a nice sight to see for newcomers. In the back, you'll find many tables where people visit to play all types of games. Ranging from board games, cards, DnD, and list goes on. Best part is that you can try all types of games for free. My wife and I visited with some friends and we had such a wonderful time playing board games. Time flew by so fast as we were all having fun. I'd say the tables could use some cleaning but very spacious overall. Parking is out in the back but it's pretty limited. Street parking is also available but watch out for time slots. Overall, very happy about Odyssey Games, very much a must visit spot if you love board games. Place can get packed as you'll often find plenty of people here. Love to visit again soon to try new board games.

Really love the board games they have and the space they have. Been coming to this spot for years…read moreeven before it was odyssey games. Whats sad is that they jumped on the bandwagon to gouge pokemon card prices. They were selling less desirable packs for 8 plus dollars and the more desirable packs were way more. I think this is too opportunistic of a price point. I do like that the people there all seem to have a passion for board games.

As a middle-aged father looking for a hobby we could share that didn't involve screens or video games, I'd read a bit about Gunpla and decided to give it a shot. What a find! The owner was incredibly helpful and patient with us, taking the time to understand what we were looking for and guiding us to first sets that were perfect for our skill levels. His enthusiasm was genuine, and it made the whole experience fun and welcoming, never overwhelming for complete beginners like us. The prices are very reasonable, which is a huge plus when you're testing out a new hobby with your kid. We both walked out with our own kits, and I have to say, I'm just as hooked as my son! Building these models has been a surprisingly relaxing and rewarding experience, and I'm already looking forward to tackling more complex builds and refining them. I'm planning to return soon to pick up a few more sets for Christmas gifts and to expand my own collection. If you're looking for a screen-free activity to share with your children or just want to explore the world of Gunpla, I highly recommend stopping by this shop. The passion and knowledge of the owner really make all the difference.

It's a great shop for those who like Lego or even those who are just trying to buy a gift for others. If you like Lego but are too lazy to build, you'll like how they have stuff that's already built. I initially came here because I had a project that I needed to finish by the next day. Regular LEGO stores mainly sell complete sets and are very limited when it comes to specific parts. WHAT YOU WILL FIND HERE -Retired LEGO sets that LEGO no longer sells in their online or retail stores. -Sets that are new in sealed boxes -Sets that have their boxes but have been opened (the shop goes thru and verifies that the parts are complete) -Sets that are missing their box but have been verified to have complete parts -Sets that are already built -Minifigures sold individually. -Old gift with purchase sets that are no longer available from Lego. TRADE IN You can bring your old sets here and if they are in acceptable condition, they can make you an offer for them. They typically have to be retired sets that Lego no longer sells. SERVICE They've been friendly and helpful on all of my visits. VALUE Most of the prices (for unopened sets) that I've checked have been consistent with market prices. They're a lot more Michaels stores and this might be the first integration of Hobby lobby here in this area. I know there is one out in West Covina, and that might be the next closest location, but that's still quite a distance away. Everything is very well organized here. It does feel a little bit dated inside, even though this is a newer store. I can't remember if they took over a mervyns or Sears or something but everything is very well organized, and very easy to find where things are. The checkout process is a little bit of a bottleneck. Maybe it's not easier to do self check out kiosks otherwise they would've done it already. On the way out, there was a lady that was upset because the registers are staggered in a specific way, and she either overshot it and I didn't understand the flow of things so she was upset about how she wasn't able to check out yet The immediate area right outside Hobby lobby is a little bit chaotic. A lot of cars and lots of people are trying to park here so sometimes the directional flow things proves to be a little bit challenging for people. It is a bit hectic so don't drive too fast.

A pretty good reproduction of an original Gauguin that happens to be in a nearby Pasadena art museum. Well, we paid a visit to Hobby Lobby, as we were picking up some things from nearby Whole Foods. The store occupies Sear's old location on Foothill. It's a huge place and designed to get you to walk around for things as signage isn't plentiful or helpful. Shelves are high so unless you are very tall you need to search around, guess they took that cue from Costco, it works if you aren't in a hurry. We were happy to find they had a framing department and also a fabric area, which, since the sad closing of JoAnne's, I was glad to see for the ghost of my mother who enjoyed sewing. I'm focusing on the Framing department and the friendly efficient gentleman in charge of that department, his name is Theo. He was helpful and friendly from the start. Their framing prices are posted as 50% off, which sounded great, but I guess the original prices need to be considered before seeing this as a good deal. Well, we checked on one style which had always been our original style we felt appropriate for this art work. We visited Tahiti a couple of years ago and and saw some Gaugain copies framed in a similar style, it works very well, so we inquired as to cost and estimated the size as we didn't have the painting with us. It was very reasonable compared to the frame shops we have checked over the decades, yes, decades! It was a very fair price, not knowing the quality of the work was something to consider, but Theo was very efficient and knew his products and was very meticulous. We could tell we were in very good hands. We were quoted, less the 50%, a little under $100 before tax. A very fair price. We were given a "finish by date", and 5 days before that date I gave a call to check on status, I was told it would be done in a couple of days. I was surprised and happy to receive a message later that day from Theo that our framing job was finished and available for pick up. We got over there that evening and Though Theo was gone then, a nice young lady got our finished product for us. It looked very nice. She walked us and the painting up to the lone cashier, as that is their policy, and we waited in line to pay. They did open another register as the line was about 6 people deep. I'm not going to get into their company politics, but over all it was a positive experience, especially thanks to Theo and his friendly, knowledgeable service and framing skill. Thanks Theo!
