While we used McDonald we were on auto delivery and never came close to running out of oil. They also came out for service every year, and I recall them coming out at 2AM New Years day 2010 when we got home from a trip and had no heat. Despite the late hour they got our old furnace up in running fast. The wife and I moved in the winter of 2018 to a home that has a oil boiler. Initially we used another local company to deliver oil because that is the company the previous owner used. We asked for auto delivery and they never showed up. Literally had to call this other company daily until they sent someone as our oil tank was reading empty. After going through that awful experience we remembered McDonald Oil and called them to set up service. They came within 3 days of me calling to deliver oil and within a week to service our 30 year old boiler. The service appointment for the cleaning was very professional. They explained everything because we are new to boilers, and addressed the concerns I had. We look forward to a long relationship with you guys once again!

TERRIBLE COMPANY. my husband and I had our oil Tank filled…read morewith 160 gallons of oil ($400) to get us started for the winter. The tank was empty at the time they came. They require an "inspection" before they can fill it, which was done very quickly by the employee. after he put the oil in, the tank was not checked again to make sure there wasn't any leaks, which we came to find out that there was when my husband went down in the basement 2 weeks later. I called the company many times with no answer. Left a message, no call back From them. I finally went to their place on rt. 29, explained what had happen and I asked them for a copy of my receipt from the inspection that took place because I mis placed mine, and the wife of the company quickly came at me with a negative nasty attitude saying that they are not responsible for us losing all of that oil. At this point I just wanted a copy of the receipt, which she kept saying that she didn't keep in her office, (which was big and had a ton of cabinets and drawers everywhere) she said she keeps them at her house in bins. I asked if someone was able to go and get the copy for me and she said kept saying no, because there are so many receipt she has to go through to find mine, from only 2 weeks ago. The husband came in and chatted with me for a little bit about what was going on, and he also did absolutely nothing to help me. I told them I would like the copy of the paperwork mailed to me and they Completely ignored my request, as a paying customer who had just spent $400 with them and who was being pretty level headed for the amount of attitude I was receiving from the wife. 2 weeks has now gone by and i haven't gotten a copy and they will not answer their phone or Return my calls and messages. This company completely sucks!! They are "veteran owned" as it says on their website, and they have completely screwed us as a military family. Extremely disappointed. I have video of part of my conversation with them and the way they spoke to me was very rude. I wish I could give them no stars on this review.
