Before attending Cosm event next to the SoFi stadium we visited this place with my gf. I noticed it didn't have that good of reviews but everything else was closed around for some reason. Not that many restaurants at all. That could've been the reason why the service was so bad. Unwelcomed, unconsidered, disregarded - that's how we felt after our dinner. The manager did try to fix it by giving us a free desert but it couldn't be fixed as we almost missed the beginning of our show. The waiter was standing next to us for 3 mins when my gf was ordering but only took MY part of the order and she wasn't that quiet at all and it felt like he was waiting till she is done ordering but apparently that wasn't it. The waiter that served us - approached a table in front of us multiple times but never approached us. Pizza with barbacoa was awesome - take it without a doubt. You can expect to wait for it at least for 40 mins - or maybe it was just us. But I would say it's still worth it. Much better than overpriced Bottega Luoise pizza. Then we got a burger that wasn't with raw meat as specified in our order. Crispy Chicken wings we were good. Not overpriced. As to the atmosphere: rooftop is unfortunately only open on Fridays, though there is still good views on the first floor. Music is chill and the vibe is relaxed. Me and my brother Adam stopped in here before the Nine Inch Nails show to grab a bite and some drinks, and it was a great choice. We sat on the rooftop, which had a really fun vibe, an excellent view, and was packed with people who all seemed to be having a good time. We split everything we ordered--the birria quesa tacos, shrimp pasta, and jambalaya--and every single dish was delicious and plated nicely. Both of us were very pleased with the food. For drinks, I had an Old Fashioned (made with Crown Royal) and really enjoyed it, while my brother had a Coke. The staff was awesome--friendly, kind, helpful, professional, and engaging throughout the night. The location is also perfect if you're heading to SoFi Stadium, the Intuit Dome, or the Kia Forum. Barbacoa beef pizza came nice n' hot, with the perfect amount of crunch, stretchy cheese, and the softest beef. 100% recommend anyone that comes here to order it. However, the wait time was 40 minutes for the pizza, and we were starving by the time it had arrived. This was also a slow Monday with 5 tables (half were only drinking) The waiter did not hear my entire order so we had to reorder with another person. We stopped in before a concert at SoFi and the restaurant was packed. Good thing we made a reservation since it was very busy, however we were promptly seated upon arrival. The vibe is lively and busy, they play music, but it's not overly loud that you can't have a conversation. The only downside is whenever there is an event they don't offer the happy hour prices which is pretty much all the time now. The service could be better, there seemed to be only one waitress managing all the tables downstairs. Which was hard to track her down to get her to refill our drinks and water. We also asked her an additional side plate and it never came. There were a lot of food runners and bussers clearing tables though, to get people in and out. We ordered: - Moscow mule- nice drink served in a copper cup - Fried calamari which was good and not fishy or chewy. The dipping sauces were good, the green one had a nice kick. - Jambalaya with rice, you get your choice of rice or angel hair pasta. This one was ok. The chicken was overcooked and chewy, the sausage was mild and you only get three shrimps. I would have preferred this dish to be spicier or be able to customize the spice level. - Country fried steak, another one that was just ok, nothing special. The steak was way too overcooked to the point that it was very chewy. The steak fries could have been crispier. I would say this place is ok to stop in to grab a drink and enjoy some apps before a concert. As the food and drinks are better than what is sold inside the stadiums. The service is mediocre as our entrees were brought out right after the app (calamari) so I guess they want you to quickly eat and leave. They also have all the doors and windows open, which unfortunately brings in flies and bees. Let's talk food: I ordered the hot wings (a little cold, but I'd give them another shot), and the shrimp Cajun pasta was to die for--packed with flavor, jumbo shrimp, and cooked to perfection. It's nothing special the cheese sticks were old once you took a bite it didn't even stretch just taking bites. The nacho were nothing special honestly a bland taste. We chose the blackened salmon, the snobby burger, the Birria Quesa tacos, and the spicy tuna crispy rice. All of the dishes were really good, some better than others, but still good. If I had to complain, I would say this restaurant needs more staff on service. I understand that it was a Thursday afternoon, but before we left the restaurant it was nearly full with very limited staff. And although the staff spoke to us with very kind language their mood and tone could've used an upgrade. This place only has valet parking so be prepared for that. From the price and the location, I thought this was just another fancy, overrated place with nice view and average food, but I was totally wrong because the food here really stood out. They have a variety of good SoCal dishes. The crispy tuna rice and nachos are great starters. Birria quesa taco is really good. Their birria meat is very tender and it contains more fat than most places. Shrimp pasta and salmon rice dishes for mains are very delicious. Happy hour was the perfect time to hang for a couple hours with food and drinks before the WWE Netflix premier at the Intuit dome. Spacious upstairs and downstairs areas, each with their own bars. Attached to the Lum Hotel in Inglewood and looks like it is always busy. We got lucky to beat the crowds but there is usually a waitlist. Had a couple friends trickle in to meet us and they had no problem getting in with us before it hit capacity. Service was friendly and relatively fast. We ordered a long of items off the happy hour menu. Happy hour eats: -hot wings -tacos -nachos -burger -sweet potato fries Add a couple house margaritas, IPA draft beer, and ended the meal with a whiskey shot for the road. Omg I love the aesthetics and the modern design of Cork & Batter! The restaurant is located close by the Sofi Stadium, Kia Stadium, and the Intuit Dome. There's a rooftop but it wasn't opened when I went since it's only accessible on the weekend. As for the food, I'm pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was, the shrimp pasta is a must! This is a very nice, upscale bar aside it's main boutique hotel; they also have an upper deck. We stayed at the LUM hotel and this gem is attached to the hotel. It's a super cute and trendy restaurant and we actually came here twice during our visit to Inglewood. Once for brunch and one for dinner. During brunch, they have specific menu which had plenty great options. We ordered the patrol tree (you have the option of two or four flavors) they are definitely strong but very flavorful so definitely worth getting one or four lol! Brunch was perfect and I wouldn't have changed the thing. Dinner however, was a little different story. The service was pretty bad, but the food was still good. I hate when I go to a restaurant and the waitress comes with just the verbal total to a bill and awkwardly stands there waiting for someone to pay! Give me a receipt/tab , give me a minute to pay. The location is super convenient, right near the arena and Cosm in Inglewood, but just a heads-up--traffic can get heavy, and valet is a steep $20. The space itself is nice--clean, modern, and spread across two floors. Even though our waitress was great, service was on the slower side due to being understaffed. It did improve as we stayed longer, but definitely something the restaurant should address, especially during happy hour. The happy hour specials were solid--$9 margaritas in a variety of flavors and a good selection of food. Pro tip: Grab a bottled water because the tap water? Not it. As for the food, it was on point! I had the shrimp tacos, waffle fries, and sliders--all well-seasoned, served hot, and surprisingly filling. Only minor issue was I asked for blue cheese but got ranch instead. I went to this restaurant with 3 of my friends before a festival in LA (S2O) and it was amazing!! Such high-quality, fresh, and aesthetically beautiful food. The vibe is also super inviting and I saw a group celebrating a girl's birthday. There's also sports on the TV screens, which I can imagine being super fun on game night. My wife and I were staying at LUM and were excited to try Corks & Batter. Upon walking in, we waited by the door to be seated (there was nothing stating you could sit wherever). We stood there for a good while before anybody acknowledged us, but eventually a member of bar staff advised us to seat ourselves wherever we like. We choose a seat to the left of the front door. In short, we sat there for a good twenty minutes and were never acknowledged by any member of wait staff. No introductions, no water, no nothing. We ended up just leaving. It's a bummer because the menu looked interesting and the place had a good vibe to it, but the management and service appears to be lacking (on my visit, at least). We do not play around when it comes to date days lol The food was tasty, the stand outs were the calamari, corn ribs, and the nachos (the meat was tender). The dranks were delicious and strong. Overall, the price seemed a bit steep for what you get, the happy hour menu seems like the best bang for your buck.
