And just like that when you're looking to do a wine tasting and relax with friends you find Neighborhood Cellar. This quaint, European esk store/tasting room/wine room is perfect for couples, small group ups and babies. There are rows of bottles to buy so parents of small children beware. We were offered a complimentary wine tasting of a white, rose and red. All delicious and explained beautifully by Josh! We each chose a different flight because we couldn't decide. I had the bubbles flight which had 3 generously poured sparkling wines. It was $10 and well worth it for what you get! My sister ordered the Sauvignon flight and her husband had the deep Cali Red Blend flight. We ended up loving LOVING a red on his flight (Leviathan) so we bought a bottle of it and enjoyed it there. There is no corking fee so sip away. If you don't finish the bottle they will will pack it up and let you take it home without a fee too! Food wise there are your typical (non-cooked) eats. We had a charcuterie cheese board that was alright. I would've liked to see one more cheese, rounding it out to 4 instead of 3 for the money ($16) but it was delicious none the less, it even had honeycomb to boot! Go in for a glass or buy the whole bottle! Great date night or a casual afternoon with friends!! This place is a must!

Very nice and casual setting to drink wine or just purchase and go. Not your traditional wine bar, but if you want a no pressure, causal vibe in bishop arts to drink wine, it's amazing. Their happy hour is perfect. I got two glasses of Pinot Noir for cheap and the staff is beyond friendly and accommodating.

This place was nothing less than Amazing. I came here because I am into wine bars now and I love red wine. Had to try something outside of the norm. It is in a perfect location, with a very intimate low key setting. They have inside and outside setting as well. No need to worry about parking either there is a underground parking garage close by.The staff was very nice and accommodating. The price point was very reasonable and they do offer happy hour as well. HORRAY! What more do you need to hear? Get THERE Already!! It will defiantly be worth your time if you like great Wine, A relaxing atmosphere and Grand Time! F.YI. I had a semi sweet wine if that is your preface the picture of the bottle is in my photos. Enjoy!

We were visiting Dallas for a weekend and ran across this wine shop. The workers were so nice and allowed us to taste several different wines they have featured and gave us great recommendations! We will definitely be back every time we are in Dallas!

Love this place! Roger and Josh were awesome! We did a tasting and took a bottle next door for dinner. Definitely a place to visit in Bishop Arts/ North Oak Cliff

Neighborhood Cellar makes a fantastic addition to the thriving Bishop Arts community. They specalize in bringing wines that hail from Napa Valley in all sorts of forms and varietals. The staff is incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable as they have a Level II sommelier. They also offer complimentary tastings and I was privileged enough to try a sample of a vintage 1946 dessert wine. It was simply divine. Highly recommend this place.

Took the glass back to the server and she remarked "Oh, that's a big one! You didn't want to fish it out?" To which I replied "No!" with a scowl in my face. She said, "I'll get it out for you," and took it back. Removed the fly and handed it glass back to me! Didn't offer to give me a new glass or anything! As we were leaving, I took the glass in still filled with wine and she remarked, "Oh, you didn't want to finish it?" I said, "No. That would be gross."

It had just started to rain when we arrived, so we sat inside - although their outside seating looked lovely. Ampelos is a bottle shop that sells a few select wines by the glass (maybe 8-10 options?). We tried a few wines they had by the glass (at least 3 different wines). They focus on natural wines, so I would have tried anything they offered! But they had a Southold wine that I knew I wanted (Southold is a Texas winery that closed up shop and moved to France, so they'll be running out of wine produced from their Texas grapes soon). We also grabbed a bottle that I gifted to my Dad later that evening. They offer a few small snacks (like olives) and flights on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The space is small, but cool (although it being on the darker side with neon lights for decor did make it look closed from the outside on a rainy day), and the service was great. I would definitely return. Ampelos is a place I would frequent if I still lived in Dallas!

The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed, making it an easy place to settle in and actually enjoy the experience rather than feeling rushed through a tasting. We tried a wine tasting and were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed it. The Texas Tempranillo stood out with its depth and character, and the Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon was a clear favorite--bold, smooth, and well-balanced. I've also heard that Barons Creek hosts themed events, which adds another layer of appeal. The idea of pairing their wines with a fun or seasonal theme sounds like a great way to experience the tasting room. Beyond a standard visit, and I'm definitely looking forward to attending one of those events in the future. Take home message: Overall, this is a great spot for both casual wine drinkers and enthusiasts. Between the inviting location, quality wines, and engaging events, it's a place worth returning to.

We tried a few bites - the patatas bravas, which are thinly fried potato chunks lightly dusted with paprika and topped with garlic aioli. It sounds simple, but was ridiculously addictive, and we found ourselves ordering another serving that night! We also tried the steak, which was perfectly cooked to our desired temperature (medium rare), but was otherwise pretty simply prepared, served atop steak sauce. And we also tried the burrata which came as two small pieces of toasted bread, juicy burrata and charred broccoli (also a simple but satisfying dish). All of the dishes are pretty small, so you would probably need to order at least a handful for a couple to feel pretty satiated, but that makes it fun to try more wine at the same time ;) We were curious about the pork belly, which the owner proclaimed to another guest that night to be "her favorite item on the menu." We can't wait to try that on our return visit (with another order or two of the patatas bravas, and maybe the tostadas too!). Definite recommend for a cute date night off the beaten path!

There is a paid parking lot next door although they appear to do parking validation which i didn't know until id already paid. They were hosting trivia night doing a fundraiser with WISE which is why i showed up. There was complimentary prosecco with donations and overall it was a fun night. I will say when i arrived i was a bit annoyed. It was my first time there and when i said i was there for trivia i was told i could sit at the bar and would have to wait for my whole party to arrive. When my party arrived (regulars) they seemed to think that was crazy so maybe that policy depends on who you are. When i sat down at the bar i was ignored. I had to ask someone for a menu and i was directed to a QR code and then as far as ordering i was sitting there waiting for someone to notice me again for several minutes. Again, they weren't super busy. I finally was able to order and a few minutes later my friend showed up and we sat at our table. I ended up with a mexican coke, elote and avocado tostadas. The food was decent. Not exceptional. I wish the tostada had chunks of avocado instead, it was a thin later on the bottom. The elote was good. Maybe i just didn't order the right thing. My friends love the place and it appears to be a neighborhood staple. I will come back again with them and I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt with this review. Hopefully next time will be better.
