They all help one another and speak so kindly even to the cooks were smiling back in the kitchen. Our waitress always addressed them as "friend, can I have..." I loved that Food came out quick. Corky's Omelette is what the hubs had and he said it was delish. It was HUGE! I had an eggs Benedict with avocado and since I do not eat pork, they added turkey sausage and it was sooo good! I didn't eat the English muffin thinking I was going to just do protein and a good fat until I saw the steak fries - had to order a side! Again HUGE!!!! I have been coming off and on for the last 4-5 months but more consistent over the last month. I have NEVER had a bad experience! From Tammy (usually a server) and Maddie with their welcoming greetings, "how have you been", and just an all around pleasant and inviting welcome, makes it super amazing! When it comes to the servers, there are 3 that stand out, and only bc I have requested them by name and had the pleasure to be served by them, Kim, Dani C, and Tammy!! They have the BEST table side manner, are VERY efficient, pay attention to EVERY detail, and I've never had to ask for anything, let alone try to have to flag them down. That alone makes me keep coming back! The store is VERY clean and well kept, and I'm sure that has ALOT to do with Denise and her ability to efficiently run not only her store, but her team members. I have watched her on several occasions, and in my opinion, she's not just a leader. She's a friend and doesn't micromanage, nor treat her staff like they are below her, but equal. I have seen her offer help to those just starting out, coaching and guiding them in a professional, but caring way This will be my go to place bc they treat you like family, not just another customer. I ordered chile size, it was taking a little long to get the order it was a concern because they weren't that busy. When I received my lunch there were minimal beans no chili size sauce just beans, 25% of the beans were burnt. The bread was also burnt, the hamburger was also burned. Since I was hungry and in a hurry I didn't complain and ate the meal anyway. With an ice tea the meal was $24.97, a little pricey. At that cost I would expect a fresh lunch and not burned beans, bread and hamburger meat. I'm not sure if I'm going to eat that again. read more

Squeaking out a 3rd star cause the girl at the front counter was pleasant and polite. I'll get to the point... The spicy chicken sandwich was amazing! A huge piece of fried chicken breast, coleslaw and spicy goodness. Highly recommended. Paired well with the steak fries too. In fact SO MANY fries that l left a good amount on the plate. Well done kitchen staff. The decor is what you'd expect. Nick nacks along the walls. Going for that TV grandmas kitchen look. Kinda cute actually. The service however went from outstanding to "what in the actual fck"! Did we do or say something wrong to this kid? Our drink came out kinda late...ok no biggie he's kinda busy and maybe the place is short staffed? The food came out shortly after and we ate. As the drinks start running low and I noticed he was in plane sight of our table...but he decided to chat it up with a regular couple a few booths away. Hmmm "hey buddy, we could use a refill". Eventually he saw us and offered the refill. "Cool!" I thought. He disappeared again, started talking to other tables...and comes back to our booth. With our check. *insert eye-roll here*. So no. No refills for us. We got up, paid our bill and drove back home. Overall: Great food selection and the pies in the front look mouth watering. Would I come back? Mmmmaybe. If there's future trip to Palm Desert, Joshua Tree or anywhere in the area, it's not out of the question. Just hope things tighten up in the service department. My husband and I had dinner here last night. Our server, Emmalee, was amazing! She brought us our food and kept checking back to see if we needed anything else or a top off on our beverages. She tempted us with Corky's list of pies and cookies, but we were too stuffed! She has served us before and all I can say is she is so kind! She makes having dinner or dessert a real treat! Our food was fresh and hot! Our cashier, Joe (who I think he is a manager or asst manager) asked us if we had a nice dinner and of course we told him we had. REALLY CLUCKIN' GOOD! Yucaipa Corky's is absolutely delicious, the food is so juicy and fresh! I had the pleasure of enjoying a Turkey Burger here and it was so meaty, I'm absolutely impressed! The burger wasn't dry or bland, it was perfect! The steak fries could be a little bit better, however they accompanied the burger very well! The service was fantastic, our waitress was consistently checking in on us and was working with a good attitude. The restaurant was very busy on Sunday afternoon, but our food came out fast and we never felt forgotten. The restaurant is great for all group sizes. It's okay. Went to grab breakfast with hubby and our girls. There was definitely a long wait so that made the girls very antsy, but food quality was okay. They have a lot of options to choose from which is good for picky eaters. Im giving this restaurant five stars because Denise, the manager, actually deserves more than that. She is awesome. We walked in and she greeted us with a smile and sat us immediately. Towards the end of the meal she cane up to the table and asked if we owned a white Toyota, I do. Turned out somehow i had opened the trunk with my remote. I'm disabled, but she didn't know this, she immediately said I'll run out there and close it for you. What a great service employee. Corkey's should do everything they can to keep her. When we parked in front of Corky's Kitchen & Bakery, I was lulled in with the incredibly good aroma of onion straws!! (Some education, I mistakenly thought I smelled onion rings but they are their famous onion straws, see my pic of the tuna melt). I have to say P.T. Barnum can learn a lot from Corky's about enticing customers with good food aromas. They specialize in good old country comfort food. Our meals were quite large and hardy. I was pleasantly surprised at the price point when I received the check. We ordered the California Chicken Sandwich and the Tuna Melt. They each came with a side dish. The side salad was almost large enough for a salad meal - it is simple, but plentiful (see pic). At the risk of over indulging, our second side dish was the onion straws (did I mention how good they smelled?). The California Chicken Sandwich, we were able to substitute the grilled chicken with fried chicken, is very ample size. (I also included a pic of inside of the sandwich.) The chicken was moist but didn't have a bunch of flavor by itself. The breading was a bit salty, which was its main flavor, and was very crunchy. The bacon was very good. The whole wheat bun held up well and was flavorful by itself. The Tuna Melt was quite large. The bread was very crunchy even though it had been flat-top grilled with a ton of butter. There was tons of tuna salad in the sandwich. The chopped celery had a nice crunch to the soft tuna and mayo mixture. With the onion straws, which were very crunchy, also came with a very tangy Ranch Dressing. What a combination. What I missed walking in was that this is also a bakery. Upon paying my bill at the cashier, people were taking out whole pies. If the pies are like the onion straws, they are bound to be good. read more

Not bad for a breakfast place. We have always wanted to try this place whenever we pass by it on the freeway. Then one morning we did after work ! It was pretty good. Mt favorite was the gravy. I enjoyed my waffles. However I feel they were a little more on the dryer side. But the crunch was wonderful. The eggs were perfect. I didn't try my husbands fried steak but the gravy and the hash browns were perfect. Next time I go here I want to try the pies. They looked beautiful and tasty. Our server was soooo sweet.
