My husband had the meatloaf and I had the pork chop. Both our dishes were huge but the quality lacked. My pork was dark pink and obviously undercooked, the staff graciously took it back. It came back black like they dropped it into a fryer and it was too greasy to eat. The meatloaf was huge but had a thick pudding like gravy. The Brussels sprouts were also greasy. Very cool atmosphere and elegant while still feeling somewhat casual. Our waitress was extremely nice and energetic and knew the menu excellently. We had the lemon drop martini and the salmon. She did warn that it was 'a little' spicy but wow I felt it was spicy. If you like spice, it was excellent, I just can't handle spice very well. What an amazing experience. We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary and had never visited here before. Arrival was awesome, the front of house staff was so nice and welcoming. Then we were escorted to a very special dining room just for us on our anniversary. The wait staff made us feel at home and were helpful in all ways. Put our name on the waitlist ahead of time on a very busy Saturday night. Parking lot has plenty of parking in close proximity to the entrance. We showed up about 15 minutes before our reserved time but we were immediately brought back to our table. While the restaurant was packed and had a line out the door- service was EXCELLENT. Also while busy, the atmosphere was surprisingly not loud. It is definitely upscale but has a more casual feel to it. Food was nothing short of incredible. Steak fondue bites were so tender and flavorful. Brussel sprout side was big enough to share as an appetizer as well. Delicious. Salmon was cooked perfectly. Very flavorful. The only thing that would have made it a little better was some kind of acid. NY strip was also cooked perfectly. Fat was rendered beautifully. Not a single piece of waste. Well seasoned. The flavor is decent! The price ridiculous. My pasta was 44$ tip included (no bread or salad) I didn't want chicken they still charged me full price & didn't give me extra shrimp. Also it is d r y. Dined in on a Thursday afternoon for lunch with my family. The lunch menu is small yet has a great variety of options to choose from. Connected to the restaurant is their butcher shop which allows for picking out hand cut meats for take away or to have prepared. PRO TIP: Our server shared the meats are discounted around 65% for lunch pricing. Our group had a combination of appetizers (truffle fries - delicious; fried alligator - just ok), entrees and salads. The portions were nice sized for lunch and everyone enjoyed their meal. The dessert menu has cake-in-can options which are cute ideas. (They also can be purchased in 4-packs and bulk quantities). I took my husband to Corndance Tavern for is birthday. Our server was Brandon. Brandon made us feel at home and was so attentive to our needs. They even offered a complimentary dessert. It was white chocolate and banana mousse with an almond cookie!! I'll go back just for that lol. It was such a cozy atmosphere. Comfortable and welcoming. As soon as we walked in the door the staff was very friendly and seemed happy we were there. We started off with a sushi roll. I will say, I had lower expectations since this is not a Japanese restaurant, but that first bite quickly made me realize I was wrong in my assumptions. We shared the Korean bbq short ribs and bison meatloaf for entrees. The noodles with the short ribs were phenomenal with such rich flavor and the meatloaf was complex with different flavors and textures that made it very well rounded. Because bison is lean it doesn't have much fat compared to beef, but they added cheese to the meatloaf which balances it out well. Unfortunately we didn't have room for dessert but what they had to offer sounded amazing. The portion sizes were generous (though reasonable for price) and I was able to take the noodles home for leftover lunch which made my day the following day. We had a fun time and tasty dinner last night at Corndance! I highly recommend starting with the steak fondue as an appetizer . It is so yummy , you'll thank me ! They have an amazing wine selection if you're into that. Their steaks were very good. We enjoyed the filet mignon. I had mine with a side of the mushroom/ shallot sauce that normally tops their meatloaf , and it was amazing ! My hubby had his with a side of the creamy bourbon peppercorn sauce and loved it . I definitely recommend the elote corn as a side( although the steak came with green beans and mashed potatoes) because it's really good ! We enjoyed the overture ( by opus one vineyards) red wine and finished with a lovely light dessert. ( the summer cornet ) I'll add pics so you can enjoy! The food was pretty good. I had the meatloaf. They give you a lot, but as a foodie I didn't mind. My husband had the salmon rice bowl. The salmon was a bit small and my husband stayed that the kimchi in the bowl was overpowering and had some burning in the belly afterwards. I indulged in the chocolate cake in the can. The staff are some of the best in town. From the hostesses to the waiters. The kitchen staff are excellent and the food was prepared with care and expertise at their trade. I entered looking forward to an excellent steak dinner but was intrigued by the pork chop special of the night, so I threw caution to the wind and had the best pork chop I've had in years. So moist and tender, trimmed perfectly with two sauces to choose from one pomegranate and the other a plum sauce, both off the charts. We had very high hopes for this restaurant. It was recommended by the hostess at another restaurant who did not have availability for our party during a football weekend. All four people in our party were extremely disappointed with the food. ALL of our meals were WAY too salty and inedible. We ordered steak (filet and NY strip), a burger, and steak fondue. One of the steaks was burned to a crisp, while ordered well done, that doesn't mean burnt. The bread service was $10/$12 if I remember correctly. Our waitress was very nice and also apologetic about the slow service as they were very busy (again, football weekend). We saw her maybe 4 times over a 2-hour visit. It took forever to get our food, other tables had come and gone by the time our food arrived. The GM did not charge us for three of our meals. We shared our story with friends who said they also had a less than satisfactory experience at the same restaurant but didn't want to say anything to us. I wish they had, very poor experience for a 60th birthday celebration. read more
