My wife and I went to Corndance to celebrate our 22 anniversary. We were treated like royalty and seated in our favorite place, the wine cellar. Light romantic jazz was playing and the ambiance made for a memorable meal. The highlight of our 5 star meal was the crab cake. The crab cake was the best I've ever eaten. I've been coming to Corndance ever since it opened a couple years ago and I can honestly say that I've been satisfied every time. From the fresh bread and butter to the delicious cocktails and fantastic creative appetizers, this place has it all. Not to mention dry aged rib eyes and a menu that changes every couple of months to keep you on your toes. Management is fantastic as well, my family and I always go to Corndance for special occasions because of the amazing service. From a veteran- try the Wedge Salad, the Bison Bites, the Elote, the Blue Cheese Fondue, or the garlic asiago crust on any steak. I want to start with Sarrah, my server. This young lady was clearly tired, but still smiled and made me feel like I was the only table she had, and the first table of the night. She made great suggestions for me, and was remarkably attentive, friendly, and warm. The food was absolutely incredible, and considering that the police was absolutely packed, my food still came out within a very reasonable time, and it was remarkably enjoyable. The stuffed quail was absolutely out of this world, the flavor profiles in this dish were different but complementary, and when I'm back in town I am sure I will have it again. My only complaint was there beer selection, but being where they are in the Midwest I can understand why it is what it is, I would just love to see a sour or a variety of local ciders hit the menu. read more

My husband and I just happened to find Corndance while traveling through Indiana. It was the best choice we could have made. We each ordered a drink: he had the corndance mule and I had the oaks 'n apple. Both were excellent. We did not get an appetizer after watching several people being served around us, their entrees were huge. I ordered the Bison Meatloaf, it was everything I wanted in dinner. A giant moist meatloaf slice on top of perfectly cooked potatoes and crispy bread. My husband ordered the sirloin and subbed in fries. The sirloin comes with a house made lingonberry sauce that is amazing. If we could have bought the sauce we totally would have. Would have loved to have tried dessert, but we were stuffed. read more

What an amazing experience. We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary and had never visited here before. Arrival was awesome, the front of house staff was so nice and welcoming. Then we were escorted to a very special dining room just for us on our anniversary. The wait staff made us feel at home and were helpful in all ways. First time trying this restaurant. Really great farm to table type of food - ordered the house ribeye, medium, no bone in, tasty, tender, and lightly charred. Better with a side dip of the jam that comes with it. Have had better steak but this was not bad. The side dishes were better. The grilled corn was not on the cob but was flavored very nicely with a touch of queso and grilled smoky flavor. The brussel sprouts had a tangy and smoky flavor - really nice and not the traditional ones I've had before - wish it was crispier, it was a bit soggy. The fries was meh - it was supposed to be truffle fries but the dip on the side was the truffle flavor - disappointing, thought it would be infused with the fries. The grilled Caesar salad stole the show! It was a full head of romaine lettuce, grilled and shared to perfection, drizzled with Caesar dressing and Parmesan cheese. We got the steak tartar as an appetizer and it was delicious. So tender, and just enough Dijon to not overpower. I could have just had that by myself and been satisfied. Easily an app for 4. My husband got the bison meatloaf and it was full of complex flavors, so yummy! I thoroughly enjoyed my chicken ballentine. There was just enough truffle without over powering. This is the best food in South Bend, bar none. The vibe is casual - you can wear jeans and a nice shirt, but they also serve incredible dry aged steaks. Our server was extremely attentive to the table next to us, we're not sure if it's because they kept ordering drinks from the bar and we were just not a large enough "tab" to be bothered with??!?! Have been there a half dozen times and their filet mignon is about the best I have ever had. Slightly crunchy on the outside and super tender on the inside. The accompanying sauces are all great as well. Shrimp cocktail are huge and the sauce is a different and better variation. Great wine selections and excellent service any time. Beer can desserts are ridiculously good. I have never had anything here that wasn't great. It's not cheap but it's worth every penny. They are known for their "Sword of John Adams'. I have never had it but I have seen people order it and never able to finish it all. read more

Food is always excellent. Our server Alison was awesome. This is our "go to" restaurant when in town visiting Notre Dame.

The food was cooked to perfection. Our group had steakhouse burger and rib eye steaks. All agreed the steak and burgers were the best they have had for a while. One person said next time they will have the burgers only no bread. All agreed it's a shame they didn't have freshly made horseradish sauce on the side for the steaks , they were excellent without it but would have made several people even more happy. The asparagus was the best I personally have ever had, The Brussels sprouts were equally as good. The Ceaser salad had great croutons the salad was just ok. The cake we ordered for desert was cheese carrot cake with ice cream. Very good. The only other downside was NO COKE PRODUCTS. Sad but still great food. The service was impeccable . Very attentive without being overbearing . Very helpful in answering all of our questions. I would highly recommend and will eat here again for an evening meal, when their menu is much larger. First time here and thank you yelp for pointing me to this delicious steakhouse! You have three options for the aged steaks and you bet I will be back when I'm back in Mishiwaka. The sides were delicious and during the week you can opt for their tapas pricing too. I was shocked to see actual lobster meat in the lobster mac and cheese and boy was it delicious! I was eating with another gf so of course I must try the 18 oz porterhouse! I need to try the best. And surprisingly it was filling for the two of us.
