I agree with the other posts that the older woman who took the payment/completed the inspection was extremely rude and impatient (receipt said their name was Brenda). I guess since it's been going on long enough for this many reviews that customer service may not be their focus. BEWARE!!! AVOID!!! EXTREMELY RUDE WOMAN!! I just moved here from Portland, Oregon. Simply just needed an emissions test. When I drove up I stayed two car spaces from the entrance, this woman saw me and waved at me to move away, it was a wave that says get out of the way. There are no signs posted anywhere that state what you need to do. Typically, when we drive up to an emissions place we simply get in a lineup at the entrance. After NO one came up to the vehicle and asked me to park, and come inside -- They just assumed you can read their minds. This woman completely ignored me and simply didn't even care. And mind you I drove up in a very reasonable looking vehicle, as you can see. So I end up parking and walking inside to find out what their setup was and what I needed to do. At this point the woman comes up to the counter and states very rudely " You have park and come up and show us the insurance" like she was doing me a huge favor. That was the attitude. So I simply said, " I don't think you need my business" and she say " Whatever that's fine" ... and I walk away looking for another place on my phone. All I can say is what a horrible first impression. She could be an employee or part owner, what this woman doing in this business I have no clue. All I can say in conclusion is that everyone should boycott this place. The final point is that if she is treating a person like that, how is she going treat your vehicle when you are not looking. Was a long line when I got there yesterday but impressively they worked through all the cars pretty quick and I was out of there in about 20 minutes. Weird that they do a test drive on the street, never seen that before from an inspection station. $1.50 is a bit much for a credit card surcharge so I just paid $18.50 cash. read more

I finally had the opportunity to stop at Cornelio and was quickly greeted with a huge smile and great customer service. The inspection was done in a flash, and the owner and inspector were both professional, courteous and quick! They even gave a discount for cash, which I appreciate. These people damaged my car while going in for a quick inspection now I have a scratch on the right sight of my car. With the inspector taking not responsibility over the situation , and acting clueless. When I brought it up I got laughed at by the female manager. I wouldn't trust these people with my car again. They drove it off the lot and I wasn't sure where they went. But that's when it was damaged. Last year I took my '92 Volvo here for an inspection. Although my car is in tip-top shape, I am often told by inspectors that some really random thing needs to be fixed or it won't pass inspection and that they, of course, would be happy to fix said random item for an exorbitant fee. I think this mostly has to do with the fact that I am a woman and therefore completely clueless about cars and therefore easy prey. Not at Cornelio's. The young man working was very polite and I was quickly on my way without any faux issues that had to be fixed before he'd give me my sticker. Unfortunately, I took it back today to get it inspected and the woman working said she couldn't inspect Volvos older than '96 anymore because of some transmission something or other. Bummer! If you happen to have a less ancient vehicle that needs an easy inspection, go to Cornelio's. read more

I would give this place no stars if I could. I went to get my inspection about 8 mins before they were to open after lunch brake at 1pm, there were 2 people waiting in front of me, and after me came an old man in a Jag who walked in the door as soon as they opened and gave the lady in the desk his papers, I even had to tell the lady at the desk that someone else was 1st, not him. The guy who was doing the driving testing the cars took the car of the 1st person, but then took the Jag after, bypassing the 2 of us who were next. When he came back from the drive and before he put the Jag in the bay I told him that he had bypassed 2 of us, hoping he would realize his mistake and take the next car first, he moved his hands and with a horrible attutide told me "why are you telling ME?, tell the person over there". I went to the lady in the front desk and asked her for his name, she said his name was George, and I told her what had happened. She said she has no time to baby sit anyone, I told her that I was not rude to him when I asked him, and that that was no way to talk to the customers, she proceeded to very obviously roll her eyes at me like a 5 year old throwing a tantrum and walked away. My advice to both inmature employees would be to have a process to ensure that first come first served is followed, and if they don't like feedback or constructive criticism maybe they have no business having a business (since I know the place is family owned and I know who the owner is) since they apparently don't know what customer service is, and customers pay for your salary. Again, I was not rude when I asked the questions, I have been going there for years, and I have seen them before, but for me all it takes is one instance of horrible customer service and I'm done; I can tolerate honest mistakes all day long, I get it, those happen, but I don't tolerate nasty attutide and a complete lack of customer service, I'm done!! read more

I had a smooth easy experience here at the inspection portion of their business. I came in to get an inspection on a vehicle I had just purchased and knew there would be something wrong since my check engine light was on. They kindly explained to me that my car could not pass with the engine light on but they did give me a summary of what was wrong so I could find a way to fix it. When I was able to get car fixed it was still within my grace period so they were able to fix it for FREE! with no problem.
