I've been a loyal customer at this location for years, but it's clear things have gone downhill -- fast. This shop used to be courteous, efficient, and respectful of customers' time. Now, they seem far more interested in dealing with complicated repair issues than providing the basic oil change service they built their reputation on. Twice recently I showed up and was met with long, unexplained wait times. On my second visit, I was told it would be a 30‑minute wait. Forty minutes later, my vehicle hadn't even been touched -- and no one bothered to update me or acknowledge the delay. When I asked the attendant who originally quoted the wait time, he couldn't have cared less. No apology, no explanation, no urgency. Just a dismissive "have a good day" before walking off. That attitude told me everything I needed to know. This place has completely lost the professionalism and customer care that kept me coming back for years. If this is how they treat long‑time customers, I can only imagine how they treat first‑timers. They've changed, and not for the better. Was greeted right away as I came up and the entire cost was explained to me before I got my all synthetic oil change. The waiting room was clean and a nice temperature with comfortable searing. Jaqueline was very helpful and applied my coupon, which provided a pretty phenomenal deal! Will definitely be back for oil change service in the future. We waited 2 hours for a 40 minute oil change and transmission job due to negligence and miscommunication on their part. The manager left for a business meeting while his assistants did not work on our car. People have come and gone in and out while we wasted time waiting for someone to work on our car. No workers seemed to be concerned that we were waiting for so long in their lobby, sitting there for 2 hours. No one seemed bothered to think "why is that family waiting for so long?" They were quick to take care with other customers coming and going while completely ignoring us. One of their workers were just standing around watching instead of working on our car. The manager claimed they have a good team while in reality their teamwork is severely lacking. Time has been completely wasted, we have not been treated well, and we will not be coming back here. This establishment deserves 1 star for their terrible service. read more

All three times the team there was helpful, explained what I needed, and I didn't feel like I was being taken advantage of. I was able to get in short notice as they are first come, first serve. I took my vehicle in for a car inspection and oil change. I don't drive my car often, so I absolutely knew I did not need an air filter change. I let the young gentlemen know why I was there and specially told him I DID NOT NEED AN AIR filter change. Next thing I know the same young gentlemen walked in the office where I was waiting with an air filter that wasn't even mine. I told him a SECOND time I did not need an air filter and restated what I needed. THEY CHARGED ME anyways for the air filter.. I told them I was charged for the air filter on my receipt, KEVIN the tech wanted to pull my air filter out from my car. PLEASE watch out with this place. These guys were great. Came in for an oil change, told them I was leaking oil and they inspected my car. They found a dent in my oil pan and replaced it that day. The mechanic was very knowledgeable especially after the pan replacement, my car was smoking oil due to the leak and oil pan replacement, he explained everything and that the oil would eventually burn off which it did. read more

So, let me start off by saying that I have been coming to this location for over 5 years. They have just had a 3rd owner, that I know of, take over. The 1st owner was high pressure sales and I quit going for a bit. The 2nd owner that I experienced was great. Wifi, coffee, good pricing, I could even just drop off my car and come back later to pick it up. Now, you drive your car into the bay for the oil change, it was 80 degrees out and I am melting inside my car. I thought I could get on my phone and play a game, but it needed an upgrade and they got rid of the wifi. I love the crew that works her, great customer service from them, but I'd rather be sitting inside, watching tv, upgrading my app. If you're going to bring your car here, dress comfortably and bring something to entertain you that doesn't need wifi. read more

They also tried to give me a list of things I needed done that would add up to 600$ and of course I said no because they always try to take advantage of young women since we know nothing about cars. Think Twice Before Bringing a Big Job to Service One Automotive (correctly rebranded to oil changers and repair)... I should have realized what Service One is far sooner (for Oil changes, not repair), and more importantly what it is not. Take it from a family who has had well over a year of their lives wasted, while dealing with the constant frustration of a shop that is more geared toward quick and easy oil changes than any serious automotive work. We made the mistake of bringing our care there for an engine replacement... My single biggest complaint: They could have simply told us that they were not up for the job. We were loyal customers of Service One in Buda, TX for many years... Our experience over this past year has changed that forever. Now, we feel obligated to share our experience as a warning to families so that they can avoid anything like our experience... The service that we received at Service One was by far the worst customer service experience of our entire lives. Take it from a person who taught a customer service course for 5 years... Every single call, over the course of many months, was a gas-lighting experience. Service One had our car for 5 months to replace the engine... We got the runaround for three of those months, and then the engine finally arrived!!!... And we got the runaround for another 2 months. Throughout this time, the messaging was consistent... "Not this week, Boss... It'll be ready by the end of the week." We did this from mid-April through September... We asked for a loaner for months, but were consistently informed that, "our loaner is in the shop too" (probably a solid indicator that this is not the place for a big job in and of itself, if you can't fix your loaner over the course of nearly half a year). Toward the end of this experience, we were told for nearly a month that the regional manager would contact us... Once we finally went around the shop and connected with Ethan, he informed us that he had ZERO knowledge that we were trying to reach him for several weeks!! Then, after 5 months of this, they broke our AC during the engine replacement. I picked up the car and drove it home... Within 2 hours the AC was not working. Given our experiences up to this point, part of which involved several months of direct lies, our trust with Service One has been damaged beyond repair. There was simply not a chance that we were going to bring our car back to Service One, especially given the questionable circumstances and sense that this damage could have been retaliatory (they could do more damage and try to charge us for it)... I brought our vehicle to another shop in Buda, TX that is far better equipped for this sort of repair... They reported that the cause of the damage was more likely gross incompetence than malicious intent (honestly, I am not sure which is better, given the circumstances). The mechanic requested that I come view the work, which is because the AC hose was twisted around in ways that clearly caused the damage... He walked through all of it with me as if these were mistakes he wouldn't even expect from a toddler mechanic. He documented the incompetence on the part of Service One and gave me the hose as clear evidence of the damage done to the AC by Service One to our vehicle. Now, after all of that... Service One refuses to reimburse us for the damage done to our car during the repair... A repair that took them 5 months to do incorrectly. Ethan directed me to bring my car back to Service One, giving an example about McDonalds (If they mess up your order, are you never going to another one?) If McDonalds messes up a Thirteen Thousand Dollar order and breaks my car in the process?... NEVER AGAIN!!! In the end, Ethan was right about one thing though... We would rather bring our car to McDonalds for auto work than to ever bring it to Service One again. Our next step is the Better Business Bureau. read more

Paid over $600 to have an issue corrected with my car starting, just to leave and my car not start the next day. After jump starting it made a new noise, so I returned to ServiveOne for them to keep my car overnight to replace the same part yet again. ALL for my car to still not start the next day. Over $600 and the issue was just the battery. Very disappointed, will not return for ANY type of maintenance, the charge for the unnecessary work seems unethical. read more

Now the only reason I'm giving a star at all is the young man that helped me when I walked in and when I left but in between the time I was getting my oil change I've never been so belittled and older gentleman called me into the garage to give me a car fax on my truck just basically telling what was wrong with my truck and of course I know that they're are just trying to make multiple sales but I told him unfortunately I can't get that right now and boy after that I was made a fool of with such things rude obnoxious comments and rude looks and doesn't end there when it was time for me to check out I had a coupon that said oil change 19.99 and I knew taxes and fees applied but not up to 45.00 dollars well the older gentleman told me it was basically 15.00 off each an I told why doesn't it say that and he goes did the previous worked tell you how it works I said no just that he would take care me so he called in the younger guy and of the young man helped me out and I'm still not finish when I handed over my cash there was another man in the garage saying rude comments "saying I don't know how to read a coupon" By than I couldn't leave that place fast enough read more

Let me start off by if I Could give zero stars I would. Called the business at 10:45 am to inquire about a vehicle inspection and was told there were no one waiting. Great I'll be there within 20 minutes . Arrived and checked in at 11:05am no problem ; a few people arrived before me by the way. While checking in 3 people came in after me for the same thing vehicle inspections and one needed an oil change in addition. As I'm standing outside on a work call I notice the people that were behind me vehicles were rolling around completed 1, 2, then 3. Yes all 3 were taken and completed and an oil change completed. Now we are at like 11:55am and by the way I was initially told only a 20 minute wait for this. So, as I'm waiting maybe 2 more people come in and I see their vehicles being pulled in and completed. Now I have a problem and it's clear to see there's an issue. Finally I asked one of the service guys is there an issue with my Jeep not being inspected? He replied no I'm not sure what's going on. I stated everyone vehicle is being done and I checked in before them and he walked away. Now, yes I'm upset so I go inside and ask the guy at the desk what's the problem and actually give me my keys cause clearly something is going on; he smirked and said we will do it now. At his mercy I needed the inspection so I proceeded to get it finished but upset as heck. Let me tell you the problem I'm having and why I'm upset; Im an African American female and every single customer was Caucasian so yes definitely without an issue this was discrimination as it's finest . A caucasian couple that walked in after me that I verbally spoke with and witnessed the whole situation and by the way received their inspection before me was appalled and stated we are sorry that this is still going on in this Country and you should not be treated this way. I have their name etc for filing this in other ways but wanted to formally advise any African Americans ; please do not patronize this shop or behavior, it's unjust and unfair. If they pull the work log from 11am-12:30pm the log will clearly show this racially influenced incident and I'm beyond appalled at this. read more

I popped in for an oil change since I've had previously two good experiences here. Sure enough, even though they were moderately busy, my needs were attended to with dispatch. They got my car info from their data system and changed to the correct oil-synthetic blend. I noticed a $7 coupon-by-text that I got and they applied it on my tab! Don't you know I love discounts! I did get the air filter replaced (because it's an older model Prius-later models have the added fan) so that added to the bill, but IT'S STILL SO REASONABLE!! The interior is super clean and the guys are quite attentive and personable...one even said "not sure but I can ask my boss."! (Regarding their promotion on Buy 3 and get 4 oil changes...I wanted to bring in my 4 different cars.!) I love this place. read more

While replacing my alternator, they broke my engine cover and left a securing bolt undone on top of the engine. They said they would replace the damaged part, but now playing games and not returning calls. Shyster manager, playing finger pointing games, saying they have to "review video footage " to determine responsibility. Looks like they plan to change names to flush all the bad reviews. Sloppy expensive work, be advised you would be better served to find another repair option. These guys are terrible. read more

Date June 3, 2020. Took my Kia Soul in and asked for a state inspection and oil change. Kia warranty requires Kia manufactured oil filter, so I brought one. Requested synthetic oil. Was not asked to pick a brand. Told them of my oil filter, response was a head nod. Was told 1.5hr wait. Was not quoted a price. Came back 1.5hrs later, car was done. I asked if everything went well, guy said "yup". That was the extent of communication. Like 10 words on my part, 4 on his end. Inspection was $7. Bill was $86.95. I didn't question the bill. But I will compare the bill on my next oil change from a different provider. Mark up seems gratuitous to say the least. Bill attached as evidence. $35 labor $35 oil markup.
