This place was really clean and the service people were really attentive and friendly. We had to order at the counter and I couldn't make up my mind for the longest time because everything on the menu looked so good to me. It could have been that I was NPO for some blood tests, but I restrained myself and just got a bagel and coffee instead of a huge meal of many things on the menu. The bagel was very soft and delicious, as well as the coffee. There were 5 selections of coffee as well. I will definitely come back when I am not so starving so I can be more discerning, but the menu is healthy, varied, and seemed so delicious! read more

After coming here, now I'm a big fan of Corner Bakery. The bread that comes with the salads is divine. Then, I came back with a 2 for the price of one coupon deal and got two huge sandwiches for $10! Delicious and so full! The steak & cheese was on very soft baguette and the cheese was creamy. Bacon avocado turkey club was generously stacked. Lemon square was a last minute splurge- a large portion too- was enough for two. Very decadent, lemony and buttery on a thick shortbread crust...needless to say it tasted like a million calories! I've been here many times and am almost always disappointed. I really want to like coming here, which is why I keep coming back. The people are nice and friendly and the atmosphere has a relaxed, cafe feel. But the food has usually been a disappointment. The food just isn't good. It's edible, but just pretty bad. I ordered a commuter croissant today. The crossaint was cold and doughy, and the bacon was cold and i could see the solid, white bacon grease on it still. The cheese was a mushy, low quality cheese. They need to improve the quality of their ingredients and the prep. The people and service were good which is why I'm giving 2 stars. read more

I'm a little surprised by all the positive reviews. Maybe dining in is a better experience. For probably the third time in a row, I've received a caeasr salad with lettuce that isn't very fresh, with some pieces being so rotten that I have to pick them out. I agree with the one other review I saw mentioning how they always seem a little inconvenienced and annoyed when you go to use a coupon, luckily though, if you're ordering pick-up you can finally apply the coupon online to avoid that. read more

Best place for breakfast!!! Place is clean and has a good variety. I ordered the Breakfast Scrambler subbed toast for small order of pancakes. Was 100% delicious!!! At first I wanted some type of bacon or sausage but after eating everything it was right on point. Everything seems really made to order so it isn't fast food. Turn of the century bistro-esque trappings like dark upholstery and vinyl covered booths and farm-inspired art create a warm, welcoming ambience: gracious hospitality from friendly servers who seem to actually enjoy taking care of customers, a muted bustle from the kitchen occasionally spilling out into the dining room, and oohhhh-the irresistible smell of freshly baked muffins crowned with fruit, nuts, and sometimes even chocolate chips, seed-covered bagels, & flaky croissants and tarts and Danishes (oh my!) that you'd expect from a patisserie! The menu here is not ambitious but the handful of entrees and complementing sides I've tasted were all well-thought out and executed. Actually the limited variety gives a more personal touch and less option anxiety at the counter so I don't mind at all. Espresso beverages aren't extensive but one can order a double shot in a large coffee cup and make their own "black eye" with the four different java offerings lined up on the self-serve beverage counter. Outstanding menu items: Santa Fe Ranch salad (but really any of their salads), Mac & Three Cheese, mini bunt cakes, Lemon Bars, Anaheim Scrambler, unsweetened Blackcurrant Iced Tea. What I got was lunch meat tossed whole on top of greens with half a chopped up boiled egg, and a sliver of avocado. If I hadn't been so busy at work I would have asked for a refund. I've always regarded this place for a friendly customer service approach. But today it lacked so many good customer service traits. Wasn't greeted when approaching the register, and when I asked for a "Santa fe" salad he laughed in my face, as it turns out, they no longer have it on the menu, so he proceed to ask a co-worker what was the most similar, and when I got my salad there as no chicken, and I went up to the counter to ask if it came with protein or not, both the cashier and he manager failed to acknowledge I was standing there for two minutes, until I spoke up, and the manager didn't even say at word to me, when I stated why wasn't I asked whether I wanted chicken or not, when on the menu it says SOUTHWEST CHICKEN!!!! I have tried various items off the menu over the past few years and nothing has wow'ed me or even made me think "this is pretty good". Prices are on the higher side for the small portions they give which just racks on to my overall feeling of: "meh" over this place. All the yes. I was driving home in the cold rain and thought, "an extra 10 minute drive will be worth it"...and it was, 100%. I arrived around 7:45pm on Friday night, only person in line..ordered the pesto cavatappi but they were out of that pasta so I had it with spaghetti noodles and I honestly think that's the way to go now! I also got a side salad, total came to just under $10 and I had half the pasta for lunch the next day. It was the best rainy, cold comfort food I've had since before Chipotle went all gross and spazy. The food is basic - nothing amazing which I expected. Panera Bread basically but more expensive. Whoever designed this place was an idiot. The pickup area, staff flow from kitchen to seating area and the way to get drinks is all in the same spot. If there are more than 3 people in that area you can't move. Never have I come in here and had someone waiting at the register because they are doing other jobs such as stocking or putting together orders so it's kind of a wait till someone notices your standing there to order. Last but not least the consistency is horrible. I order the same thing everytime - sometimes I get a pickle, sometimes a bag of chips, sometimes neither and sometimes both. Soemtimes they bring you silverware but no napkins so you have to get up and fight your way to the napkins - why not just leave a dispenser on the table? And one sink in the bathroom. read more

I am a regular at the corner bakery, and received the mix any two full size items for $9.99 special. I went in with my husband and ordered a chicken pomodori panini and a chopped salad. I asked for each of them to be split, and the manager brought over half of a panini cut in half making it technically a half of a half. When I questioned him, he stated that's what you ordered. I was very upset with the managers response that I asked for my money back. I haven't been back since and don't plan to until you train your employees what the specials are. This is 3rd time we order from Corner Bakery Cafe, the food is amazing, the food isnt not the issue, its the customer service, i am at work, uber eats is great way to get breakfast in the morning, my question is why do I the customer have to call to make sure my coffee is right ? Or to make sure my food is done correctly, yesterday order the Cafe forgot our potatoes and our fruit, my coffee didnt have the hazelnut cream, I dont care about paying extra but I receive no cream, not even on the side, first time we ordered we got it, I call management, he seemed annoyed and bothered, told me to call and to be more specific, yet on the actual uber eats it said hazelnut cream +.10, i am charged .10 cents for cream, i expect the cream. He seemed to get more annoyed and bothered, told me he didnt want the coffee to get cold, that the uber driver makes my coffee that it is their fault i didn't receive cream, yet uber driver only picks up my food, not make it, ICE BREW COFFEE, it is already cold. The food is amazing, customer service not so much, even then when i used to make to go orders when i waitresses i always made drinks when customer would get there. read more

I went to corner bakery thinking it was basically another Panera. Although the restaurants sell similar food, I loved how they bring out the food to you and the busser gladly took our plates and cleaned up our tables when we finished our food. This rating MAY be based on nostalgia more-so than anything. When I lived in DC I was going to Corner Bakery all the time. When I moved away I thought I'd never get one of my favorite go-to lunches again. Now that I was on a work trip, I told my coworkers I had to go. The staff was really nice, helpful with the menu, and it's obviously really popular as there was a ton of folks. Granted it was around lunch time. I just wanted a cup of coffee, but also wanted to check out the menu as once I was done with some quick errands me and the husband were going to grab some late breakfast. Their coffee was good, they actually had a selection of roasts which I like since I hate being stuck with only dark roast. When I came back the girl at the register recognized me and told me I could still have free refills on the coffee (I still had the cup in hand and was nursing it.) We both ordered breakfast platters as we were told they serve breakfast all day, they were out of potatoes though. Sad. They offered us a fruit dish instead and it turned out to be one of the freshest and most diverse fruit cups ever, much more than the normal melon a few grapes a a couple apples. They also let us substitute pancakes for the toast, which was awesome! The eggs though were kinda dry, the pancakes were good, but small. The bacon was cooked perfectly. My husband didn't get his pancakes, so I had to chase down the guy who brought our food. Overall it was ok, I will definitely see about going back, but definitely do breakfast at breakfast time. Their lunch/dinner menu looked awesome, so I want to try that out too, and there seemed to be a ton of people eating their mac and cheese, so that is a must try. read more

Had breakfast here this morning. Ordered my usual Anaheim Scramble with fruit and it was excellent, as usual. Although I left the restaurant at 10am, I did not feel hungry until dinner time and I took the fruit salad to go because the meal is just so satisfying and filling. Gross. Ordered the chicken pesto sandwich which tastes like someone accidentally spilled cheap, house vinaigrette all over chicken and placed it between two pieces of cold sub bread. I thought there was mistake because there is ZERO pesto mayonnaise flavor so I returned to the restaurant to get the pesto mayo added. The manager opened the sandwich and scraped the bottom off the vinaigrette soaked bread and said that's the pesto mayo. Must have been invisible. He did remake the sandwich so one star. Still hard to find traces of "pesto mayo" like the menu states but the vinaigrette is less overpowering so he did fix that. Won't be coming back to this location though. read more
