If you ever want to most delicious moist pancakes in the world, you have got to get them from HERE. I have tried so many pancakes from other places and none of them compare to Corner Bakery's. The best part? Each order comes with 4!!! It's spectacular. I would eat these every weekend if it wasn't so bad for me It comes with a lot of eggs and bacon is a good amount. The syrup is yummy too! I do love the oatmeal as well.

Picked up a DC chicken sandwich combo for lunch. Took less than 5 mins to get my order. The chicken salad portion was kind of small but it was very tasty. Definitely will order it again. Easy parking.

This chain, Corner Bakery Cafe, focuses on baked goods, light meals, and coffee. Most of their locations are in office areas or shopping centers, so I think of it as one of those easy go-to spots for a quick workday meal. They run promos pretty often, and overall the food quality has been consistently solid. Right now they have a great deal running through 4/30/2026: choose any two items from pasta, salad, sandwich, or soup for $6.99. It's honestly a really good value. My friends and I visited Huntington Beach location and I do show and mention the promo code when ordering, so I'd recommend just grabbing a screenshot online before you go. I noticed the three groups ahead of me didn't seem to know about the deal and ordered at full price. When it was my turn, I double-checked with the cashier and they confirmed we can pick any two items from the menu for $6.99. I ordered the pasta and a chicken sandwich, and my friends got the chicken salad and a chicken sandwich. The pasta also came with a slice of bread, and honestly that alone already filled me up. I ended up taking the sandwich to go. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying. The cashier and service are great as usual. Just a heads up, this $6.99 deal is not available on third-party delivery apps. Participating locations are in California and Washington, DC only.

I have eaten here several times; the food is very tasty and the service was great. However, this time I came to order, I was served by a female receptionist who was cold, without smile and eye contact made me think she was shy or doesn't like her job. I wrote this review hoping that she would have better face expressions to the customers. 7/24/26 night

The cookies and pastries were fresh and delicious for us being there so late. The gentleman with the long hair was attentive and knowledgeable with the menu when he took our order. Shout out to Len as well for being kind and helping us with our take out order The cookies were chewy so sweet as well as the fudge brownie (that I didn't take a photo of)

Been coming to this corner bakery for a while now. I love their Choose Two. You can pick either half a cold sandwich, hot sandwich (panini), salad, or pasta. It also comes with a side of either chips, fruit, or Caesar salad. Service was great. I've dined in and gotten take out. I think their hot sandwiches are better than the cold though. I was a bit disappointed in my chicken pesto sandwich. But paninis are always good here ! I've also had their chicken carbonara and pesto cavatappi pasta yum!

The Choose Two for $6.99 has been extended again until April 30, 2026 at participating CB locations (see photo).

Ordered takeout so cannot comment on ambience or service. For $7, everything was delicious with good portions. Truly cannot beat this deal.

I found myself here at the Bella Terra location for a late lunch. It looks huge from the outside but the interior is compact and could use an update. There is a large patio out front but it was a bit too warm outside so I decided to eat indoors. Even though I'm eligible for senior discounts now, I was the youngest customer in the place; most booths and tables had walkers or scooters beside them. I ordered the Uptown Turkey Avocado Sandwich and a lemonade. I was given a number and went to find a table which took a couple of tries as many hadn't been cleaned. My number was called in about 5 minutes and I picked it up at the counter. The lemonade was okay, far more tart than sweet. The sandwich (which came with chips) was much better than expected. The bread - some sort of whole grain - was lightly toasted. The thick deli turkey was plentiful and the lettuce and tomato were fresh. It's wonderful when the tomato is juicy and full of flavor like this was. Bacon added some crunch. It was a big, delicious sandwich that was quite satisfying.

DC Chicken Salad Sandwich is delicious: love the crunchy almond slices with juicy sweet raisins. It's the size my palm but still a good portion. I recommend taking the top of the sandwich and placing it into an oven to warm/toast it and that just adds the perfect warmth and crunch to the overall sandwich. Quick and nice service.

Corner bakery was a spot that I always drive past and never ate at. Upon hearing about the $6.99 two entree side deal I had to check it out. The atmosphere was typical american restaurant sit down chain vibes but overall smooth. The service was average but food came out in good speed. The food itself for $6.99 is a steal! Rustic Italian Panini sandwich was amazing and had good flavor in each ingredient. Texture of the sandwich was really good and the bread is amazing. The mac and cheese filled my cravings and is super addicting. The fresh fruits really suprised me as they were really sweet and really good.

I noticed they updated the recipe for the Berry Bonanza smoothie to include dates and flax seeds. Honestly, it's such a fantastic upgrade. Berries can be hit-or-miss with how sour they are depending on the season, but the dates add the perfect amount of natural, whole-food sweetness to balance it out without needing added syrups. Plus, the flax adds a great nutritional boost. Love that they are constantly improving their menu. The staff here are very friendly, too. Highly recommend!

The man working directly with preparing the food was the one who stated there were cashews in the dressing so I was inclined to trust his call, but seeing you say there isn't any nuts in it leaves me with little confidence on what the actual answer is. I have zero issues with the fact this is not an allergen free kitchen but I still think items should be properly noted/staff should be educated on what things do *directly* contain allergens. Original Review: Was excited to try Jan's after hearing so much rave about them. Tried their chicken caesar wrap today. Those with nut allergies beware, the caesar dressing has cashews. I feel like this should be obnoxiously labeled everywhere. Most people will not think to even ask about nuts in a caesar salad/dressing and tree nut allergies are one of the most common. I almost didn't ask myself but at the last second choose to because these health bar places sure love to hide nuts in the randomest things Perfect example of today. Considering it isn't labeled on the advertisement or menu anywhere, it should be confident knowledge amongst your staff at least. The cashier said she didn't think there was any nuts and listed all the ingredients in the wrap but luckily double checked with the kitchen staff and confirmed the cashews in the dressing (which is mixed into the wrap + on the side) I was able to swap out the dressing. Then I proceeded to stand by and wait for 20+ minutes because I made the mistake of telling her to put it in a togo box so it'd be easier for me to pack up if needed. Apparently if you request a togo container rather than dine in, everyone in the kitchen automatically assumes you're just a delivery app/online order and they place it off the side instead of calling out your name like they should do with all orders. I stood there for over 20 minutes (with the cashier walking by noticing me and not acknowledging my wait) until I saw a couple who came in AFTER me get their order literally dropped off to them. Then I asked the cashier to check on my order because at this point, I assumed they forgot it. But nope, it was just sitting off to the side with 3 other orders because no one decided to call it out like they did with several orders before mine? My order was a single wrap, I felt like the cashier should've at least considered that I had been standing in front of her for a long time for one single item and taken the initiative to check on it or something. I imagine this is a common place for many folks to stop by in hopes of a quick lunch, during a work break, or with the fair expectation that they shouldn't be waiting as long (if not longer) than a sit down full service restaurant. I luckily came early enough otherwise I would've been way late for my doctors appointment waiting for my single wrap. The prices here are not cheap and while I don't mind paying a higher price for quality food, quality service should be apart of that experience. The wrap was enjoyable even with the swapped out dressing but the overall experience left me unsure if I'd be willing to come back. It all felt extremely disorganized and careless.

This mother-and-daughter operation has a warmth you simply can't manufacture. The mother personally came over to greet us, the ambiance was impeccable, and the service was exceptional from beginning to end. We had the shrimp curry, beet salad, French onion soup, short rib, scallops with mushroom risotto, and raspberry cheesecake, and everything was phenomenal. After finishing the shrimp curry, we still had some of the incredible sauce left, so our waiter suggested a half order of garlic bread to soak it up. Absolutely fantastic and exactly the kind of thoughtful recommendation that defined the service. Even the things I initially thought I wanted differently turned out to be perfect as served. I wished the French onion soup had more cheese until I discovered it at the bottom and realized the proportion was perfect for the flavor. Even the filtered water may genuinely be the best I've ever had at a restaurant, and our glasses never went empty. They also boxed our leftovers for us, another small detail that showed the level of care throughout the night. I'm honestly surprised Heirloom hasn't made the Michelin Guide. The service was on par with many Michelin-recognized restaurants I've visited, but with a warmth and personal touch that made the experience even more memorable. They comped a raspberry cheesecake for the birthday, and it was so incredible that we ordered another slice to take home. They surprised us by comping that one too! Exceptional food, impeccable ambiance, genuinely thoughtful service, and hospitality with real heart. Don't miss this place.

Let me start with the positives because the food was genuinely good. I'm not even an eggplant…read moreperson, but their eggplant appetizer was so good. They're known for their French onion soup and it was good, but I definitely wouldn't call it the best I've ever had. That said, it was probably two hours after we sat down by the time we actually got our soups , so maybe we were just really hungry by then haha. For our mains, we did the short rib, pork chop, and filet. Everything was delicious, but the filet was hands down the standout for me. The pork chop is wet aged, so it can look a little pink even when properly cooked, which threw one of my dining companions off a bit, but it was still good. Unfortunately, the experience was a different story. We had a 6:30 reservation and didn't leave until 9:45. We waited about an hour just for our appetizers, and shortly before they arrived, we were told they were down a cook and to expect delays. A three hour and fifteen minute meal for two and a half courses is just crazy. My biggest issue was the lack of communication. I wish we had been told when/before we were seated that the kitchen was significantly delayed so we could decide whether we wanted to stay or make other plans. Instead, we were already well into the experience before we got that information. The AC also wasn't great. It wasn't unbearable, but it was definitely uncomfortable, especially during Southern California's heat wave. I'm not sure if the AC just isn't very strong or if there was an issue that night, but sitting there for more than three hours while already feeling warm definitely didn't help. Then, right before our mains finally came out, we were offered complimentary half glasses of wine as an apology. Two of us declined, and one of my dining companions actually requested a completely different drink, but the wine was still brought to the table anyway (never received the requested drink either). If we've already said no, please don't bring it anyway. And honestly, after waiting that long, you need the full glass haha. At that point, I would have much rather been offered a complimentary dessert or something that actually addressed the three hour wait. The owner did come by twice and was very nice, and we were genuinely trying to be understanding of the situation. I just think there could have been more communication and a more meaningful effort to make up for the experience. Dessert didn't really redeem things either. We tried the crème brûlée and banana bread dessert, and neither would make my list to order again. The crème brûlée seemed overcooked and the banana bread dessert just didn't do much for us. So where does that leave me? The food is good, and there are definitely dishes I'd order again, especially the filet. But good food can only make up for so much when you spend more than three hours at the table, especially when you're hot and waiting most of that time. I'd be willing to give Heirloom another shot, but not before we get some cooler weather and I can confirm they've actually hired a second chef to help keep things moving at a more reasonable pace. If those things are sorted out, I'd be interested in seeing what the experience is like when everything is running the way it should.
