I had a horrendous experience here. I went last night with my husband and we had terrible service. The waitress was so rude and honestly didn't really acknowledge us until she had to. We ordered and she didn't reply at all. We questioned if we were speaking another language. When the food came out, the waitress who brought our food was kind, luckily. But the food was not great. My husbands sandwich had to stay on his plate because the bread was falling apart from being soggy. My sandwich was rock solid from being toasted for too long. The soup was the only decent thing I ate. We left hungry because our food was almost inedible. We left and felt so disappointed because the location at traverse mountain was so great. Of these types of places around here it seems it is more a competitor of Paradise Bakery than Kneaders. For my first visit I was stunned and amazed to find that they had rugelach!!! As far as I know there is no place in Utah that has this. Then even finding good rugelach would be even more amazing. My last rugelach orgy occured last October when I went to visit Long Island, NY. Anyway they sell rugelach individually or in packages of 6. It's not cheap so it had better be good. And it was AWESOME!!! I got a 6 pack and it said it was made in Texas so they ship it in. They have two flavors - apricot and cinnamon pecan. I wish they had chocolate but got the cinnamon which was great. I also tried the chocolate mini-bundt cake, again something that's difficult to find around here especially since Quiznos stopped selling them a couple years ago. It was very good and I liked that it was just chocolate as opposed to the ones you get at NothingBundtCakes which only come with chocolate chips. That being said, theirs was too crumbly whereas the ones from NothingBundtCakes are moister and a superior bundt cake. But the ones here cost $2.50 and the ones at NothingBundtCakes are $4.00!!! I had a ham and cheese panini sandwhich that was great. Paradise Bakery only has two kinds of grilled panini's where as this place has a greater variety. I will try more things in the next few weeks including what looks like a really good coffee cake (they call it a cream cake). Would've been been 5 stars if not for the crumbly bundt cake!!! read more

I ordered the Asian Wonton salad and a chocolate baby bunt cake when I went to lunch there this week. The salad was just alright but the pastry was actually pretty decent. The service and dining room in this place was a hot mess! Everywhere I looked there were dirty tables and employees just walking by the trash like it wasn't even there. My friend and I had to clean off our own table which was not so great. Reminded me of Paradise except with better chicken and a crap hole for a dining room. read more

I very much enjoy a good panini, and have only been here a few times. This time I remembered to check in. This time I had the pleasure of enjoying some good old mac and Cheese, and boy and I glad I did. It was so creamy, so thick with cheese, and I love the toasted bread crumbs on the top. My hubby and I tried out the Corner Bakery for our Saturday evening take-out. While we didn't dine there, he picked it up and said the wait staff was very friendly. What we ordered: 1. Avocado Wedge Salad to share: Amazing, probably the highlight of everything we had. It is an avocado tossed with a cilantro salsa, tortilla strips and laid on a bed of jicama slaw, giving it a hint of fruitiness - incredible flavors! 2. D.C. Chicken Salad: One of the best chicken salads I've had; a generous portion of chicken with almonds, green apples, currants, tomatoes, lettuce, avocado (I added that) between two slices of delicious rye bread. Huge portion - I could only eat half. I also subbed a small Caesar salad in lieu of chips, also very good. 3. Pasta Carbonara: Hubby ordered this, but I sampled a bit. A nice creamy sauce with fresh peas, bacon and chicken, also very good, but I think their sandwiches are the real prize here. 4. Oatmeal raisin cookie: We had a free coupon for this and, while I can't speak to it, myself, since I'm not a cookie fan, my husband said it was delicious. I really do love Corner Bakery Cafe. I think it tops Paradise Bakery in every way except for one thing: no cookie with my meal. I'd totally go five stars if only I could have my sweet treat once I've polished off my sandwich, pickle and chips. This is a great little lunch spot. It's similar to Paradise Bakery but it is better in my opinion. The food is more fresh and I find the menu items more desirable. There's plenty of parking and they are really fast so you can get in, order, eat and get back to work all in a lunch hour, no problem. We like to sneak over to Corner Bakery for lunch meetings and this location is ideal because there is a lot of room and even at lunch time it is not overly crowded. Check 'em out. read more

I actually like it better than Panera, so no big deal that Panera isn't in Utah... because HEY, we have Corner Bakery!!! What I love about it: Delicious and fresh. Large enough portions to split a meal if you're a light eater. Free kids meal with entree purchase on Mondays and Tuesdays after 4. Great Tomato Soup that isn't too creamy (I don't love cheese and dairy and most tomato soups are inedible to me). So amazing Asian Salad. Chicken Pesto sandwich that is beyond delicious. I have eaten at Corner Bakery numerous times and it is my "Go-To" place when I go out to lunch with friends. I was so happy when they opened the store at Fashion Place because it is closer to where I live. The breakfast Swiss Oatmeal is an absolute favorite of mine for breakfast, but the Panini's are really fabulous. For lunch I usually have the Asian salad or a Turkey Panini, both are excellent. I often use Corner Bakery when I need cookies and other goodies for parties( as I am too busy to bake myself), or even for bake sales at my kids school. Our family loves the Lemon pound cake and I must confess, sometimes I have it for breakfast with a good cup of coffee. My only complaint is that it is often difficult to find an empty table at lunch time at the Foothill location. read more

I've just moved back to Utah after 17 years of living in Las Vegas, which has nothing to do with this review. I've been here about 10 days and have family here so we've been to eat at a few places. I met my daughter today at Fashion Place, to do some birthday shopping for her almost 3 year old daughter. We stopped into Corner Bakery and while the place was nice and clean and everything looked good, it was as Yelp calls it; MEH. I had a bowl of Tomato Soup which came to me just one step above water and about that much flavor (the fact that it was semi-warm was also a problem). My sandwich was ok. My daughter had a sandwich also, and she said it was kind of soggy, which isn't good for a panini!. Not sure what she had. This place has lots of fans, but I'm guessing as I get used to living in Utah I'll find lots of places that are better than this. read more

I came in for breakfast for the first time and it was really good! I got a bacon and cheddar Panini which has eggs, bacon, and cheese on sourdough. The Panini was greasy and so delicious. 5 stars for the gingerbread pumpkin mini bundt cake. I just love this time of year when certain food establishments feature seasonal goodies. Anything with pumpkin or gingerbread just seem to go with Autumn. Keep in mind I only went in for the seasonal bundt cake. It was so moist and flavorful I was wishing I had bought more. I savored it and made it last as long as possible, keeping it hidden from the family so no one would sneak a bite. Yea, I was selfish, but no regrets.
