First time ever eating at Corner Bakery. Stopped in for lunch with a friend. Clean and not crowed so we were able to order almost immediately. Food was brought to the table with little wait time. Had the 1/2 sandwich 1/2 soup combination and since it was a colder day, tried their tomato Italian soup and grilled cheese sandwich. Tomato soup is broth based; ok but not really to my liking. Flavor on the mild to bland side. But the grilled cheese with tomato was fabulous! Perfectly toasted grain bread with melted cheesy goodness - delicious. With tip, meal cost was just over $16 which seemed a bit steep but in keeping with most places currently.

We ordered the Rustic Italian Panini with a side salad to split.

Corner Bakery is a great cafe option for brunch, and soup, sandwich and salad options for lunch and dinner. Similar to Kneader's, it's line up and order, with a delicious bakery to grab some sweets. Only fresh ingredients used on the whole menu. Soup menu changes often. Simple pancakes and eggs breakfast hits the spot every time. Pro tip: use their app for free stuff, and to order ahead to skip the wait.

Great service and the tuna melt was really good but the potato tasted like they were mad the day before and avocado looks old and spoiled but the experience was good

I had pretty high expectations for this place after hearing from friends and family. We found a buy one get one free coupon and I decided I'd finally try it. I ordered the linguine and meatballs and the pesto chicken. The orders took a bit longer than expected to come out but perhaps they were just short staffed. As far as the food, I took a bite of the garlic bread and tasted no flavor. The two bowls were a pretty good size considering the price; and although there were only two meatballs in the linguine,it seemed sufficient due to the size. The linguini had a very light tasting marinara but the sauce seemed very watery to me. The pesto chicken had lots of pasta but it seemed that it was lacking a bit of chicken. The pesto sauce was also so light that it seemed that the dish was almost lacking in flavor. Overall, the food is affordable but I wouldn't have wanted to pay full price for the taste. If I had a coupon, I'd come in again.

The wait for dinner was relatively longer than I expected, however there were many tables available so there was no issue with seating. The menu also has various selections of healthy options. I ordered the pesto chicken and linguini meatballs, and both dishes came with a piece of garlic bread. The presentation wasn't the absolute best, and the garlic bread was not salty enough. The pesto chicken sauce I ordered was also quite light. However, the meat was very tender! I would say that this place is worth it for the price paid.

Enviornment - 1 (so quiet you can hear everyone eat) Food - 4 Customer service - 5 The food is great. Its so quiet I would rather not eat here. I will order to go from now on. Probably why it was empty inside. Great food I hd soup and cavatappi pasta.

Farmer scramble and the Anaheim scramble (back). The Anaheim has a lot more flavor.

One of the things I like about corner bakery cafe is that I don't feel like I've eaten a pot of grease after eating here. The food I've had is fresh and sits well. And most of it seems pretty on point. Service has always been great each time I've been. My very first visit, I ordered fresh fruit and mentioned something about not liking cantaloupe but that I would get it anyway. When they brought it out, the person had made sure there was no cantaloupe in there. That's service! Atmosphere is also nice and clean. Once again, you don't feel like you're sitting in grease. Well done CBC.

Everything looked good, and the young lady behind the counter provided immediate service. We had the eclairs and the Napoleons. The eclairs were excellent with good flavor and texture. They were smaller than what I think of as a standard size for an eclair, but we would get them again. The Napoleons were another matter. The layers of flaky puff pastry were soft and limp, not flaky and a bit crunchy as they should be. Perhaps the Napoleons had sat too long in the display case, and the pastry absorbed liquid from the custard layers. We would not buy a Napoleon there again.

When we received our order, one of our items was missing, so we had to go back and let them know. When we asked about it, we were met with a bit of an attitude, which was disappointing considering the mistake wasn't on our end. The missing item was a chocolate croissant, and when they finally gave it to us, it was extremely cold and hadn't been heated up at all. We also ordered a hot chocolate that was barely warm, definitely not what I would consider "hot" chocolate. I understand people can have bad days, and maybe we just came in at an unfortunate time, but between the unfriendly service, the missing item, the cold croissant, and the lukewarm hot chocolate, it wasn't a very good experience. I really hope the customer service improves because a little friendliness and attention to the order would have made a big difference.

It wasn't cloyingly sweet where it would make your stomach sick, which is what you might think when you saw it! Most of the donuts there were filled donuts and I'm not a huge fan of filled donuts because most of the time the combination of the donut and the filling does make you feel sick after eating one. But I heard the check out lady talking about how they made the cream for the donut I tried and I knew it was the one for me! I do wish they had options like a plain chocolate cake donut with chocolate icing. But this is more of a gourmet shop than your local, average donut shop, so I understand why they don't. I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 because the checkout lady was a bit scatter brained and didn't ask me if I wanted a receipt. When I asked for one she got even more flustered and couldn't figure out how to give me one and basically said oh well - you just can't have one. I wanted the receipt so I could turn it in to google surveys which pays me money for taking surveys and uploading my receipts. So I was kind of irritated.

I saw their post on Instagram that they had a Dubai Chocolate flavor for the week, so I decided to make the trip to try it. I got that one and the Passion Fruit--both were tasty! The puffs are generously filled and not overly sweet, which I really appreciated. The regular puffs cost around $3, while the special flavors are about $4 each. I do think they're a bit expensive, and though yummy, they're not quite worth that much for a small piece of cream puff. The shop itself is cozy and clean, and the staff member was friendly and helpful. I also liked that they offer online ordering and takeout, which makes it easy to grab a box to go.

It was super clean and we liked how the display case showed the puffs and their description so you have an idea of what to expect. My man really enjoyed the passion fruit cream puff, it had a lot of flavor and the passion fruit tasted fresh and didn't taste artificial at all. I really enjoyed the Aloha Puff and reminded me of a similar dessert from back home in Hawaii. It's similar to Liliha Bakery's cream puff from Hawaii. It wasn't overly sweet, the macadamia frosting was smooth and buttery and paired so well with the chocolate filling! The cream puffs were filled so generously, you got cream in every bite and they aren't small either! Too bad we're an hour away, but we're definitely stopping by next time we're around the area!
