Nothing posted on the door, but someone eventually opened after we tried the door a couple of times. No explanation given, didn't bother asking why. 2. Dirty tables. There were 3 tables not cleaned up when we arrived, and when the employee did come to wipe the table we were about to use she sprayed it with this blue liquid that had a strong chemical scent. 3. Long wait time, about 20 minutes or more. 4. Food portion and quality. Fries had few pieces of the korean bbq beef, not worth it for the $5.99. Kalbi was very greasy and tough, also don't think the whole plate was worth the $12.99. 5. Very small and flimsy plastic utensils. It literally could not cut it. Being in the mood for burgers, I decided to go here. Seeing as the rating was SO HIGH, I wanted to see what the hype was about. And boy, did it live up to the hype. I had the kalbi burger combo and I was definitely not disappointed. The way the saltiness of the meat balanced with the sweetness of the Hawaiian bread was made perfectly. Even though I do prefer an actual toasted bun to this, I understand what they were going for. In terms of the actual burger, I'd give it a solid nine out of ten. The reason why I didn't rate this place 5 stars was because the fries were fairly lackluster. Don't get me wrong, they were actually pretty good. But they lacked that extra "something" to kick it to the next level like the kalbi burger did. This place has a really unassuming name with a concept that's normally associated with some trendier ie more expensive places. The inside is a nice and cozy with dark wood. I like that as most restaurants if this sort use a lot of bright goofy colors to have that contemporary look. As for food, their menu seems split into three to four parts including, fried chicken, tacos hamburgers and grilled meat. All with a Korean touch. I opted for the taco special: 4 tacos for the price of three. They were absolutely amazing. The tortillas were so delicately most and perfectly handled. The fresh cabbage, jalapenos, and squeeze of lemon juice just create a perfect memory of textures and flavors. This place really let's their food do the talking rather than a pretentious name, or fancy decor. read more

Inside of a crowded, grungy food mall at a busy intersection in the valley, lies a combination burger place/taco joint/korean BBQ house that on its face makes no sense, but turns out truly terrific food. I can't vouch for the tacos (although they are apparently very highly rated), but the burgers are varied and terrific. I absolutely loved the crazy boy (it had BBQ beef as well as pork tonkatsu and various sauces), but the kalbi burger and other burgers are excellent as well. The Korean BBQ fries are outstanding with a perfect blend of sweet and spicy sauces. My dad wasn't feeling like a burger so he got a traditional KBBQ plate with chicken and a side of rice, and the portion was huge and flavorful. Awesome. Wow I think we ordered half the menu! So this place is legit. Kalbi burgers are off the chain and to top it off they are on Hawaiian buns. Not greasy full of flavor, not your typical burger by a long shot. The kalbi tacos were my favorite, the sauce and toppings were delicious. They were fully loaded overflowing with the ingredients. You all know I hate it when the volume is lacking but this place delivered. We are heavyweights and everyone was like "damn I am full!!!" Great value for the price to omg! I think we spent like $60 and had a ton of food. The Korean Fries and chicken were delicious and good size. Literally come hungry and order everything you will be happy you did. Its a real family business, the Mom, daughter and son were so nice and made us feel welcome. I am grading on a small curve here. Some negatives, the place is small and they are busy so seating is tough with a group. Parking was also full. One in the group didn't like the sweet buns with the kalbi too sweet for them, they will get spicy next time. Value, flavor, price and nice people bump them up. The food I've had here is a solid 10. I came here back to back after trying the fish tacos because I had to see if the other items were gonna be just as good. I've tried the chicken, shrimp and fish tacos and although ALL are consistently delicious my favorite is the fish. My boyfriend and I weren't able to eat it right away but it still had a nice crunchy tempura batter on the outside with a melt in your mouth center. The meat in the tacos are filling and they're topped with cabbage, cilantro, Serrano chili, and some amazing sauce that'll get you hooked. We ended up ordering 10 tacos and the owner, the nice Korean lady, ended up giving us 2 free fish tacos since they have the buy 3 get 1 free deal. I appreciated that she did this without us knowing. I also recommend the KBBQ fries if you're a fry lover like me. You can choose from either chicken or beef and they use skinny fries.... my fave. The area is a tad bit shady and parking can be sparse but the food is worth it. Once I start eating beef again, I definitely want to try their burgers! read more

However, one evening it was completely packed and this small joint was overwhelmed with orders having 3 out of 4 of our orders on the table. One of my buds was missing his meal for 10 minutes but once it came out the sweet lady had included mozzarella sticks and an order of sweet potato fries topped with some of their special sauces on the house for everyone in our party to compensate for the wait. Came here with my girlfriend for a quick bite & to see what all the fuss was about. Overall, more than decent place to eat. The prices were very honest and you definitely get what you pay for. As for the food, it's a nice change of pace from the regular burger/taco joints that you'll normally come across. With a Korean-American based menu, you're welcome to KBBQ style meats accompanied by rice & salad to keep it traditional, or even the option of a Kalbi Burger bunned by sweet Hawaiian rolls. Also, we met the owner of the restaurant whom is a very welcoming and nice lady and made us feel pretty comfortable. We ordered the Kalbi Burger, a small Chicken BBQ plate, and an order of the Korean Fries. Kalbi Burger : 7.5/10 - They were very generous with the beef in the burger & it wasn't as oily as I'd expected it to be. Pretty good overall, just felt like perhaps something was missing. Chicken BBQ Plate : 7/10 - We ordered the small, which came with a significantly smaller portion of meat than the large which is a heaping skillet of meat. This was perhaps our mistake. The large plate would definitely have been worth it. Also, the chicken is spicy and they ask how you like it from Mild to Spicy. Their level of spice is fairly accurate so don't be scared to ask for it as wanted. Korean Fries : 7.5/10 - Though the burger had a generous amount of meat, the fries we got felt like just the opposite. I felt that the fry-to-meat ratio was much in the fry's favor. Not sure if this was a one time thing but overall it was still good. Overall, I would give the place a 7.2 out of 10 all things considered. I got it with the beef and it was really good. I did wish the fries were a little undercooked, most of my fries were pretty crispy, but it was still good. The tacos. Highly recommend the fish taco. I got the beef, chicken and fish and I liked the fish the best. The beef and chicken are marinated in soy sauce so it can get salty/heavy after a while. But the sauce that's on the fries are on the tacos too. I love the jalapenos that they add on top. It gives the tacos a little bit of extra kick. Def recommend if you're in the area. I ordered their Korean bbq pork and while it was cooking they bring out the side salad that's part of the meal. I tried their Korean vinegarette dressing which had so much flavor.
